Sports Bar Reviews
Wide selection of drinks available and food to order from the restaurant nearby. They have all sports going on different screens everywhere which is easy to view. Plenty of areas to sit and stand. They were accommodating enough to change the sports channel for us. Also has a good Designated Driver setup with a barcode wristband

We went there for a cocktail, as the website clearly says they do cocktails and you would expect a sports bar to be able to produce cocktails even if they aren’t that good, but the service staff said they did not do cocktails. We ended up leaving without cocktails and disappointed that they would write it on their website and when you get there they blatantly tell you that they don’t do cocktails despite the website description.
On top of that, you would have to bring your serviettes or wipes to clean the tables as none of them were clean…. And it wasn’t even busy, why couldn’t they bother cleaning up a bit!! A very disappointing experience this was.

Went there for lunch. Service was fast. Orders was done fast and it took about 10 minutes for food to come. If you like gambling it is a great place for you. Nice seats and veranda looks over Broadbesch gives me a nice view

We came to watch the europ cup game and the manager was super rude and she told us the leave the venue or to watch the game outside without volume …

The sports bar at the star is the best spot to chill in a both and have a burger watching the sport. Lunch is usually quite in the day so it's relaxing and the burgers are great!

The rude lady manager didn't want to help a big group of italian in any way to watch the match . She just said to us you can leave the venue ...

The management decided that nrl (last round NSW teams) was more important that the Brisbane lions play-off game to show on the big screen. Even though most of the people there wanted to watch afl. Bad management. If I could give a zero I would because I disagree with him he asked me if I wanted to be kicked out.

Sunny at the sports bar Bartender at the star casino gold coast perfect service always greated with a smile everytime and always up for good yarn. Also remembers the order everytime.

since when does a bar start to dictate what i have in my drink ? i ordered a schooner CC with lime and no ice , (i don't like to water down my drinks) and was told by the bar staff it has to have ice in it , if i didn't want ice they would have to use a smaller glass ! but still pay schooner price! i have been coming to this place for years and brought many a CC with no ice , and then when i argued the point i was escorted out of the premises , what a date night with my wife to remember , thanks sports bar staff

Schooner of Canadian Club on tap and a glass of house bubbles $22.50 . Champagne was $8.00... Back to Kurrawa surf club CC $8.30!!! Casino bit of a rip!!!

Nice new large venue within the Casino for Sporting events, but because its the Casino, there seems to be an 'over the top' policy when purchasing drinks etc at certain hours, which can be a bit embarrassing, as youre not allowed to buy more than one drink unless the person/people you are buying the drink for is next to you..

Massive screen if you're prepared to run the gauntlet past a sea of gaming machines. Bar prices are typical pub prices. Along the lines of a scaled down version of a Vegas Sports Book. If you're not a punter probably a better experience to support a local club. Same sports, cheaper prices and handier parking!

Im writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the treatment my group and I revived from the lady sport bar manager . We were shocked when the manager on duty approached us and rudely and informed us , a group of 100 people to whatch the game in a small tv inside or outside without volume … our night was ruined from her !!! We will not definitely coming back !!!

I had a great couple hours in the Sports Bar during lunch.
Friendly staff.
No crowds.
Clean facilities.
Fantastic screens.
Ordered a schnitty and coffee that were both a solid 4/5.
Would recommend.

Great spot to sink some serious tins with the boys, watch some sport then sneak over to do some checky gambling on the slots. When the thumb goes up, it's just like that.
Highly recommend going with that lads...

Beautifully decorated and large venue with a massive screen full stop a few small screens on the side and a lot of comfortable seating. I would make the sound a little bit louder for the FIFA World Cup as we couldn't hear the commentator over the chit chat of the crowd. + we understand that you can not wear hats in the casino but we came to the sports bar to support our team in team hat and uniform and felt like we were hassled to be constantly taking them off... Great Game!

A genuinely sub standard experience.
Arrived at the bar with high hopes of enjoying a burger and a beer. There was even a sign on the bar promoting the same.
Unfortunately the girl that served me had a care factor of zero and informed me that food orders could only be made at an adjoining bar some 40 metres away.
So off I trudged to the other bar confused - a sports bar that advertises food but doesn’t sell it??At the next bar I requested the beer and burger combo. I was informed I could only order that at the sports bar? What the!!!
Anyway I ordered a burger from this second bar and the combo was not available.
Then went back to the Sports Bar to order a Guinness. Same waitress grabs a pint glass pulls on the Guinness tap and nothing happens. ‘No Guinness’ she says. I said what do you have on tap? Waitress - I’m not sure.
Seriously shoddy service. Expect much better from The Star.
Burger was average. Chicken burnt on the edges, dry. Chips tasted old. Not good Star. Not good.

4 staff behind the bar serving, 40 odd people lined up! Never changes, happens every weekend! if only they knew how to get their act together and roster more staff on.
