What a hidden gem. Saw some good reviews online and at lunchtime in Bundy on a Tuesday my first choice option was closed. This was all to my benefit as otherwise I would not have had the pleasure of this hotel bistro. We were welcomed as we entered by extremely friendly staff and this set the tone for the visit. The menu is large and caters to all tastes and diets. We shared a seafood platter for one, which was huge. This consisted of snapper, prawns, calamari and oysters! Along with really good chips and salad. We also had a pizza bread - blue cheese. Mushroom and truffle oil. Very tasty. A good wine list - we enjoyed a nice Pinot Gris and at $12 for a large glass was good value.
Overall the food was of high quality, nicely presented, by great staff. Highly recommended.

We stopped in on our trip home through Bundy with our kids and old Bull Arab Dog. I went in and checked if dogs were allowed and where which was fine in the beer garden. Such wonderful staff as steaming hot day brought out Icey cold water in a dog bowl and a bowl of cooked chicken for our dog. Our food was even better with huge burger's and icy cold drinks. Great place to stop with your fur babies as they made you feel very welcome and it’s a nicely done up pub. Highly recommend if traveling with dogs.

We had the most divine lunch here today. I had the macadamia crusted chicken breast…. Mouth watering!! Husband had the seafood basket, which he said was “so yummy”!!!!
But the really great bit? Our big German Shepherd was also welcomed there.
He was served chicken breast on arrival with a nice chilled water bowl on the side!!
Lovely alfresco area.
Staff just so friendly and great!!
Food delicious…..
People and their puppy…. Very happy!!!
We will certainly come back!!!! 😊😊💕

Visited for trivia, which was a fun experience. Pizzas were amazing value and very tasty. It would have been great to have some of the other house pizzas on the kids menu. Lasagne off the kid's menu was all pasta and very dry with little sauce (also not a typical style sauce) so didn't go down well with my child.

The prawn and sea scallop entree sized meal was delicious. A great atmosphere for a special celebration we held out the back beer garden area. Good staff.

The food was delicious, and the portions were generous.
The prices were reasonable as well.
It was nice and quiet. It seems that more senior people frequent this place, and there were no noisy keeds - which was lovely.

Steak, pizza, salads, all look yummy and plating are nice. I ordered Japanese salad with crispy wanton and prawn. It was good and I like the seaweed.
Nice venue, good staff, clean toilet, reasonable price. They have room for kids, that's a good idea.

seriously the new management need to take a hard look at themselves. since the new ownership the following is seriously bad. and I've been coming here for a long time.

all gone to s...t what's going on with staff as well they have all left our barista was great and now, she is gone to what is the management doing to staff to make them leave ....not happy dancer right now

Meh, have had better steaks. No weights and measures expert but the two lumps of char grilled meat served up didn't seem to weigh the advertised 300g. Ordered medium, was well done, salad was dry without dressing, overall an underwhelming experience

If I could give service a 6 I would. Fabulous food and tremendous service with us and our two dogs! Would definitely recommend

How wrong can one be about a place. The first time i walked passed the Spotted dog i thought it was a pub, untill my girlfriend spotted it on Google maps and we found out it's a cafe/bar/restaurant. Once inside you would think you walked in a sports bar with all those tv's and i had my thoughts when i saw that the bar was bigger then the kitchen, but wow they can cook. I had the pork belly bites and they where easily some of the best i have ever eaten, the sause they used is really what makes they tast amazing. We also shared a vegetarian pizza that also tasted so good and they put so much on the pizza that the two of us could not finish one pizza. Also the staff where really friendly and kind and explained how how things went. If you ever travel through or stay in Bundaberg, make sure to stop nu the Spotted dog.

Had a nice piece of crumbed sweet lip that was fresh and actually sweetlip nice salad chips were good ,service was great beer cold .

Had a great dinner at The Spotted Dog @ Railway Hotel. They went out of their way to cater to my dietary requirements and the pizza, service & location (newly renovated) was absolutely fantastic!!! Veg, gf!

Great pub food. I tried the eggplant parmigiana as an alternative to the chicken parmigiana with a side of garlic pizza. It was surprisingly good, I'm not a vegetarian, but I just wanted to try something different. It came with a side of diamond cut chips, which were fresh and crispy.
The line to order was quite long on a Friday night, but once the orders were in, the food came out pretty quickly.
It does get a bit noisy though, but that's to be expected.

Great dog-friendly place to eat a lunchtime meal and enjoy a drink. Excellent service. Great meals, with the added (surprise) bonus of a little bowl of chicken for our furkid - 5 stars!

Ellie was absolutely amazing 10/10 service. My pasta was delicious, my partner and mothers dish was missing the main ingredient (lobster) and my little sisters lasagne tasted like dish water. But Ellies and the head chiefs wife definitely made the night so much better.

Came here early (4:30pm) for dinner and it was quiet. Food came out pretty quickly. We really enjoyed the pizza! It has loads of topping esp ham and chicken in particular. The steak was also good too but slightly over cooked when asked for medium. All good was made with care.
All staff were friendly here. We had a great experience.

Awesome pub and fantastic food. Korean Stir-fry and Panko Calamari ordered off the $14.90 bar menu. Will definitely be back. Loved it.

Arancini balls and pork entree very average. Service wasn't overly friendly, including seeing others interactions with them
There was one server who wasn't friendly at first but after they were talking for a while did lighten up and make some jokes so that was nice

Absolutely fantastic place to visit and have a meal and drink. The service was exceptional and welcomed our poochy with some chicken treats.
The food was superb and prices amazing. Definitely call in if you can.
