We were there for mother's Day 2024. We were greeted beautifully and straight to our table. Mum's got chocolates and kids were given activity sheets. Face painting was available and farm animals outside that was enjoyed by adults and children.
The food was really nice and staff were working hard. We were very grateful for the lovely day and wonderful service. The food we received was high quality and tasty.
Please please make your homemade BBQ sauce available for purchase. Just love it....

We dined on Easter Sunday. It was very busy but meals come out nice and fast. I barely seen my toddler the whole time, he was having so much fun on the new playground. We will be back.

WARNING make sure you confirm about dietary requirements before ordering. The menu is not correct.
We cannot have dairy, and though the menu lists some of the Smokehouse menu items as Dairy Free, we were informed that the sides the dish came with contained dairy. The expectation is that if the menu lists something as dairy free, the whole dish is dairy free.
Overall the smoked pork ribs were fine, after asking for the dish to be made dairy free.
3 month edit: Please note that the menu has NOT changed, after management replied to my review stating they would like to fix this.

The parmi was very nice and perfectly cooked. The brownie was warm and soft and perfect. I didn't expect this quality of food from a hotel, but it was really nice. Would recommend.

The Mushroom Berger was delicious, staff were friendly and helpful and the kids had a great time in the play area and with the farm animals. Highly recommend especially for families.

Spent $170 for 2 kids and 2 adults (including 2 beers), 2 entrees and 2 mains, plus 1 kids meals. Full rack of ribs was tasty but quite small for $50 and served on a metal tray with paper, and sides that weren’t noteworthy.Cornbread was burnt and so stale it was a dry inedible rock, slaw tasted old and soggy.
Mac and cheese $15 - average. Burger was $22 but beef was so burnt and hard it was inedible (it also came out 10 mins after the other mains?), we got money back on the burger and staff were lovely about it.
It was a full house and staff did the best they could but service was average, didn’t clear entree plates or glasses when they brought out mains so I did it myself so we could fit food on the table.
Squid starter was very nice and cheese and bacon garlic bread was good. Drinks were great. Atmosphere was ok, very busy and just like a stylish pub really.
Play area was good. Kids room was a waste of space as it was 2 tables and small chairs with with few blocks and a tv - as well as iPads that didn’t work on the wall? Won’t be back unfortunately- it’s our local so was hoping for better food for the price.

Sorry to say we hadn't been there in a few years, probably won't go back for a few more.
Meals were terrible. Both my wife's and my steak severely undercooked. Staff were really good and tried to fix things, but we were probably over it by then. Medium well came out just under medium rare and the other ordered as medium rare was nearly blue. Staff actually grabbed my plate too take to the cook to show how under they were.
Again staff were great.

Played a gig here for the biggest morning tea. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Coffee was good and they also made me a vegan pulled mushroom burger that really ticked the boxes.

Place is ok, however today I was disappointed to see that staff couldn't be bothered to serve people at the bar. Young gentleman looked completely unworried about a line of customers, walked past a few times and then came back in a cosy manner to serve. The food was nice.
An update for 31/7/2023: a young gentleman who was working tonight answered in a quite abrupt way when was asked to turn the air-conditioning down, stating basically he couldn't care less. The other staff member more experienced looking lady, was quite short with me on the borderline rude. Thus 1 star instead of 3.

OMG I cannot believe how bad that was the pic is what was left and the butcher plate was forced fed because of the cost. The Kids beef pasta was forced fed to my child thinking all she wanted to do was go play. So we had a try of it and wow it had no taste and the meat was obviously the brisket left over from unsold smoked meat from last week. The beef burger my son had the bun was burnt on top as well as the bottom and that dry my son added sauce and he hates sauce. My partner had green charred salad and that was wilted and flavourless. It’s a Thursday night and it was absolutely disgusting and at 160 bucks damn they really need a kick up the rear end.

Meals were delicious, came out quick and were well worth the money! Smoked food was 10/10. Steak cooked perfectly and kids loved their meals. Can't recommend the food and the friendly staff enough.

Lovely place. Especially after the renos.
Alyssa's service was impeccable. Our steak was over cooked and without hesitation she replaced the meal and gave us a complimentary drink. Was one of the best steaks my wife and I have actually ever had. So good well be back tonight!

It was perfect for our family of 13. Phoned in to make booking and request to be seated close to the kids playground. We ended up outside next to the kids area which was perfect. I ordered the Butchers Board from the smokehouse menu and it was delicious. Ended up taking the leftovers home cause I couldn’t finish off the meal.

I have visited this pub about a dozen times and most of the time had a great meal but today when I went I had a ridiculous amount of salt on my chips and the steak had no flavour to it. Seemed like the chef was in a bad mood and emptied out the salt shaker on my plate. Not impressed and probably won't be returning because my meal was that bad

I have had two very polar opposite experiences here. The first time we dined there since the renovations, the food and service were excellent. Impressive large portions and very quick service. After such a great experience, we booked a table of 8 and we were all incredibly disappointed. Firstly, our food took an hour to arrive. The serving sizes were dismal. I have never been so shocked with the sizing of the portions for a hotel/pub meal. Even our bowl of chips was sad. I will not be in a hurry to go back after that experience. It’s a shame as the kids area is a great attraction for a family.

I feel a little sad leaving this review as Springlake Hotel has been a favourite for us since moving here 15 years ago. We had lunch today to check out the new renovation and for the first time I have to say the food was sub par. The salad was tired (lettuce browned, gelatinous and wilted from the dressing, the cherry tomato mushy and old, I couldnt bring myself to eat it). I ordered the fish and it was full of bones, so I didnt finish it. I ordered a medium steak for my husband which was well done with no pink and rubbery (assumed from microwave reheating) definitely not medium done. For the prices charged (near $35-40 a plate) it was subpar for the price point unfortunately. The service was nice, the background music was 2000s dreary/depressing (think Atomic Kitten Whole Again, Coldplay Yellow etc) It was a little bit of a downer.

Has so much potential but they just missed the mark in many ways. The layout is a complete mess. You walk straight into the sports bar then you have to go through the pokie room to get to the restaurant which kids can't do. The only beer garden area is all for dining only. Then they try to be a little too classy rather than being the nice hidden gem tavern it should be. Service is great but necessary given the high prices. Would like to see it redone a little more down to earth and relaxed like it should be and prices more realistic for the area. Don't have any want to go back and im a big pub / tavern person.

Had an absolute horrible experience with staff as we were kicked out due to us having an ex employee with us who the manager had a vendetta against. As someone with experience in licensed venues these kind of unprofessionalities are completely unacceptable especially with paying customers. This interaction made the whole group extremely uncomfortable and made our night extremely stressful without justified reasoning.

Had a group dinner, enjoyed their new Smokehouse menu. Food was fresh, tasty and much enjoyed. Friendly, professional service and the new renovations provide a very social atmosphere.
Special mention for the Texas Twinkies! Excellent!
Think there'll be several new regulars after tonight!

From the moment we arrived everything was just perfect. Getting to our seat, menus were easy to read, ordering out food very easy and also how quick the food arrived. This was all to a dedicated Professional Staff

For a place that appears to be family-friendly, it’s disappointing that there is no parents room. The fold out change mat in the disabled toilet is outdated and the strap is broken. Went to dispose of dirty nappy in the sanitary bins provided underneath and there was an awful smell that came wafting out of it

Seems like Emma (think that’s her name) has made some decent changes in the sports bar which is a plus - good job 👍🏽
Happy hour from 3-5 Monday to Friday is a plus, could maybe throw an extra hour onto it - just to keep the locals happy.

Discovered this pub when the Creedence concert was there last week.
We had the Butchers Board smokehouse meats, it was so good we went back again this week!
My only problem was its that stupid 'scan' ordering, there is no actual physical place to order. Its disappointing that human interaction is also lost at the local pub.
Recommend booking.

Absolutely beautiful food including having to cater for my mother who couldn’t eat nothing really on the menu everything tasted amazing. Also quick service with bringing our meals out.

We visited for lunch today and our meals were served within 20 minutes. My mate enjoyed his Smokehouse Beef Brisket. My pan-fried Barramundi was very fresh, served with crisp skin was so tender and tasty. I thanked Chef James Hamilton personally for the best Barramundi meal.
Our Coffees were intense and satisfying. We shared a Sticky Date Pudding, a perfect dessert to end our meal. Thanks guys for a wonderful lunch!💯

1st time here after the renovations and what can i say the food was amazing i had the Low and Slow smoked beef brisket and hubby had steak. Took a little bit to come out as it was super busy but it was well worth the wait. Loving the new menu
