Went for dinner with family. In general staff were ok but appeared to be not very happy. No one smiled. Food was good and came out quickly. We all ordered individually/separately. Devastatingly I didn’t get Dianne sauce I got Mushroom sauce. I’m allergic to Mushrooms. Realised too late. When I raised the issue with a male staff member he’s response was incredible…..”you should have said something when you ordered”. Well we used the QR code so……. The dismissive attitude was unnecessary and unacceptable. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

We are fairly new to the Northside so we were looking for somewhere nice to eat. Just something easy. We arrived and greeted by friendly staff. We found a nice table outside and ordered at the bar. It wasn’t too expensive. The food came quickly and and looked nice but it didn’t taste as good as it looked. My boyfriends burger lacked taste and my chicken was over cooked. It is what it is. We never expected too much so we weren’t too disappointed.

Very large and diverse menu, great drink prices compared to all other pubs. Has a large Tab and gaming room section which is placed well within the tavern to be functional as both a lunch and bar spot for the family or with your mates. Very impressed with this place that i felt compelled to review it

very good food, b ut the place is super busy, you NEED to call and make a reservation, otehrwise you will not HAVE a table.

Very disappointing food.
Had a steak sandwich which was cold and undercooked.
Mate had a chicken parmigiana it was also cold like it came out of the freezer and into a microwave.
Mashed potato on the side was cold and still had raw bits through it.
Chips were cold.
Time to make the meals was fast which would have been fantastic if everything was cooked properly.
The only reason it wasn't 1 ☆ was the staff were friendly and all smiling.
Good place to go for for drink but would not recommend the food.

Thursday night poker with WPT is always good! Top that off with two steaks for $25 and its also a cheap night too.
The staff are freindly, the drinks are cold and the food is hot.

There were 2 of us having dinner on a Wednesday night.
Not sure if we just picked the right time but there was no queue to order food which came out promptly.
Food was really good. I had the steak with veggies and prawn topper. It was cooked to my liking and was a generous serving. The only negative was the price of the topper - felt it was a little bit stingy with the serving.
At the time of visiting, the venue was undergoing renovations. Can't wait to see what the end result will be.
I would recommend this establishment.

Really good value food. It’s nothing fancy but cheaper than taking the family to fast food restaurant and so much more fun.
Worth checking the website for the daily specials, they have heaps of 2 for $20 mains etc.
I’m obsessed with mushroom sauce and rate theirs highly.

Not too bad, my wife enjoyed her meal.
I choose the roast beef, its was as tough as boot leather.

Not impressed the Bistro is hard to find no signage while the renovations are being done. Finally found it and ordered our meals at the table on the app as encouraged. Be warned they don't honour the kids eat free if you use this. When questioned we were informed it's only if you order at the counter.
Meals are fair for adults BUT the children's meals are poor $9.90 for a sausage and a few chips same for the fish and chips, the cheese burger was ok but kids do want sauce on it.

My son & I had lunch, was lovely although lady taking our order could have being a little friendly.
The meat raffle was a rip-off, bought 5 x$1 tkts, suggest they should have more incentive buy 5 get 1 free. Over-all, all good.

My Dad and I have been coming here for years because the steaks and the burgers are amazing! The staff genuinely care, the service is always excellent and the regular staff always remember Dad and his order 😊

Meals are lovely. I had Stafford Risotto. Omg, so good. Very generous sized meals. Nice clean tavern. Reasonably priced

I was really impressed with this little Tavern. It was busy but staff still smashed through every one fast and kept a high service. It was super clean and the food was amazing and so well priced steak and chips salad $18 bam I'll take two. Drink prices were fantastic and a well stocked bar.
I highly recommend a visit to this little gem

I have been here several times and have decent prompt meals, however, today the staff were too busy standing behind the counter chatting. The one who took our order neglected to register one of our meals...I also wanted a martini, no couldn't do that, not a negronis or anything else I asked for....very poor

I attended a work function held here and can say that was one of the best lamb shanks I've had anywhere. At just $22 I had to order a side or feel a thief! So I got the steamed veggies and was not disappointed with that.
All around the table folks seemed pleased with their food and for the most part our service was gold standard. There was just one attendant who couldn't appreciate working in air conditioning doing work which is not overly difficult while having the opportunity to engage with new faces on a daily basis.
But aside from her the evening was great. A few wobbly tables but that's par for the course and the venue looks great with some new renovations in progress outside, we can expect a new facáde coming soon!
I recommend Stafford Tavern for a spacious yet cozy vibe with the best value for money you might find anywhere. Bring your family in for a classic pub feed but with fine dining food standards!

Had a steak, salad and chips here - a basic pub meal, but it was executed perfectly! Really tasty, well cooked steak, not at all tough or stringy, cooked to a perfect medium rare. The chips were well seasoned, and the salad was fresh and had lots of variety.
All the staff are very nice and friendly :)
Will be coming back here again for sure!

Great food. Any time I say to my family let's go out, stafford tavern is the first place thrown at me lol.
It's amazing staff are super kind, the food comes out nearly before you can blink lol (also money well spent for the value and quality food received) $12 lunch steaks!$$!!!
My little one loves the playground! Currently under renovations but so eager to see the new setup and make new memories

Good old fashioned pub. Service is quick and friendly. Good pub meals. I like that it has pool tables. While renovation work is on going, it's not much to look at from outside, but it's comfortable and cool inside.

Good, fast lunch service. Reasonable cost with 2 meals and coffee for less than $80.
Nice atmosphere . Recommended.

Food was fabulous. Nice atmosphere. Staff were very lovely and friendly. Nice and quiet. After renovations it should be great. Definitely going back. Thanks.

First time visitor to Stafford tavern
Specifically went for the Wednesday night special.
Nice lady welcomed us and chatted occasionally. Very pleasant.
Dinner was good.
Prices were very good.
Likely we'll be back soon.

First time Dining Sun Lunch and Food was served fresh, prompt. The pork spring rolls are the Bomb- highly recommend followed by the Steak S/Wich, Chicken Burger. Fish was good, a lot of batter for hubbys taste, Pizza- a tad too salty for me. Great selection of food from both menu and blackboard specials and well portioned - Value for your money. Staff pleasant and friendly- comfy, casual dining area- will definitely return.

Fast service, staff are friendly. The outdoor play ground is large and can be shut off with a gate. Large smoking area out side of sports bar. Pool table and pin ball available.

Can't believe this place has the audacity to charge over $25.00 for the worlds smallest schnitzel and a few prawns on top.
Wish I could at least say it tasted good. Unfortunately it tasted like a reheated McCain frozen meal.
The service was also bad. Our table was sticky and still had used glasses on it. We asked if someone could come and clean it at the bar and were told they would. Needless to say this didn't happen.

Been here 3 times and ordered the steak, chips and salad each time. Always delicious and tender. Highly recommend.

A cool local place to hangout
Variety of Foods & drinks which is good but you can’t expect anything wow here
Got the chicken schnitzel, cheese burger, pork belly & pasta
All ok for their reasonable price
