When you pay over 60$ for a steak and they are both overcooked, and definitely nowhere near the weight advertised it is very disappointing.
Let's say that the best part of our meal was the sauce.
The service, on the other hand, was good. Our waitress Chloe really went an extra step to make our experience a bit better.
I just hope she received the tip we left for her.
If you want a good steak, go somewhere else

We went to the Stamford inn Bistro last night ordered the scotch fillet med was not thrilled but my wife ordered the gnocchi and said it was absolutely beautiful.
To reply to the Stamford inns question the Scotch fillet came out well done when I ordered my steak medium.

We went here for our anniversary. Our waitress was fabulous (their new computer system lost our booking) and the atmosphere was really nice, however, I asked for my steak to be cooked medium, and most of it was medium rare, mostly on the rare side. I ate around the outside and gave the rest to my husband. The thick cut chips, juis and brocollini were delicious. I was disappointed the chef at a steak restaurant couldn't get the steak the way I wanted it! Wasn't cheap either! I can cook it better myself at home!

Went to the Stamford inn on a Friday night, the atmosphere was buzzing as the footy was on and pumping. The kids play area was very well equipped with a play ground as well as a fun motorbike video game and Mario kart. It was so fun to beat little kids! The gaming area was also one of the best I’ve seen, there was plenty of diversity in the machines and couches for keno. It was perfect! (Although I lost my money). The food was also some of the best pub food to compliment the footy. What a night

We love coming to the Sportsbar for a meal, to watch the game/fight or just for a bevy or two.
The new menu is great, nothing we haven’t enjoyed yet. The renovations are great too.
The people working behind the bar are always friendly, always greeting us with a smile.

Well priced food and drinks.
Food was actually really good.
Service can be a bit slow at the bar and some staff in a rush to go home.

We had my daughters 21st at this venue. The venue was fantastic. Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Barbara helped us with every aspect. Food was beautiful and the staff looked after all our guests wonderfully.

Visited Friday evening, and the venue was quite busy. Reading the menu, we found that there was not a separate seniors menu, and instead, we were required to purchase a main meal and would then receive a discount for a senior. Personally, I felt this was a waste of food as seniors purchase smaller size meals as they can not finish a main meal. I ordered the Caesar salad, and I can honestly say they had forgotten the cheese. The bacon was like scrunched up balls that were burnt to an inch of their life, and all I could see was lettuce. We also ordered roast of the day, which was pork and this was very nice.

Very nice meal 4 courses served to your table. Waiter service was good even though a little disorganized. Santa came for the children oldies missed out. Good service at the bar and at normal prices. Huge carpark, overall a good experience.

Very disappointing this place is no longer serving Gluten Free for our celiac son.
We have been coming here for years and they have changed to “Reduced Gluten” offerings as there is gluten in the kitchen. The explanation is that they are covering themselves from cross contamination. Such a shame the can no longer accomodate for Celiacs. Otherwise this place is very good.

The Pork Ribs were so bad !! Bland , feel like they were Boiled , and then some sauce poured over .
Steak we ordered , had no seasoning .
Sicilian chicken Parma was good ..
Never coming back unfortunately

The newly renovated Sports Bar now caters more for meals in a relaxed atmosphere than to the addicted gambler or alcoholic so definitely a massive improvement.
Food was ok and reasonably priced.
Constructive Criticism would be to the already noticeable lack of cleanliness to the floors in the outdoor areas and entrance. Maybe give the white chairs a clean every day also.

Terrible food.
Asked for Steak medium rare was well done.Cold chips and cold vegetables
Salmon dish basically boiled potatoes with a piece of salmon on top
Just order a Parma as that is the only dish that was enjoyed

My family and I have been meaning to try this place for a few years now, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and dessert. My steak was cooked perfectly to my liking and the red wine Jus was amazing along side my steak along side some of their onion rings. I had the sticky date pudding for dessert, which the sauce was spot on not overly sweet. My wife's steak was too her liking also with the garlic butter and she enjoyed her dinner also, along side the waffle sandwich for dessert, which she enjoyed but reluctantly could not finish. I had a very nice latte after dinner from the bar staff which was delightful to top off my night. The atmosphere was nice and not too loud even for the kids. I complimented the kitchen staff on our steaks and desserts and they were very friendly. Thank you so much for the lovely evening.

Member of staff showed us to our table. No problem. We both ordered the Shrimp starter special. For main my wife ordered filler steak and I went for the half rack of pork ribs.
The shrimp starter arrived. First impressions was disappointing. On both plates was served a nominal amount of shrimps together with a small amount of sauce and finally salad. The shrimps were a bit bland and quite clearly more than likely cooked from frozen. The biggest problem was the salad. Quite clearly not fresh, limp, dry and no dressing. Not good.
The mains saved the day. My wifes steak was cooked correctly together with chips etc she was pleased.
The half rack of pork ribs was cooked well and tasted good. The salad this time was different and far better. The only minus were the onion rings under cooked and cold.
Overall. Some good. Some not so good. Rate. 5 out of 10.

Lovely place to go and have a nice lunch. I had fish,chips and salad and a cold drink to go with it. Very nice staff just great all round.

It wasn’t great to be honest, the service was good even though they were training a lot of their team, has to happen and I love businesses that grow! I have to say the food was very average. A Parma isn’t the most difficult dish but I found it undercooked, greasy and just shoved onto the plate. My partner had pan fried trout and potato, that wasn’t even pan fried. Maybe the chefs were also in training, should at least try the food you serve. No love or care there! Won’t be back, didn’t take pictures as this would probably put more people off. My other family members were also disappointed in their meals. Total of 10 of us for a birthday.

I held my Mums 70th Birthday at the Stamford Hotel Rowville. We had a Black and White Masquerade theme.
From day dot, Barbara the events manager was very approachable, patient and accommodating. I kept in regular contact with Barbara right up to the day of the party. Even when we had a huge number decline in number attendance and almost thinking of cancelling, Barbara and Gary the Hotel Manager were very understanding and accommodating in helping us and was able to adjust our package to suit our number of guests.
Our party was a great success with the help of Barbara and her wonderful team, everyone had a fantastic night and really enjoyed themselves.

Had the Fish and Bug, loved it. Super great meal especially with the ALH team discount. Came out to 14.40, such a bargain for surf and 'surf'.

Had my 70th birthday in the Winston room. Nat and Shay were amazing. They made sure my guests with mobility issues were well seated. The food was lovely and plentiful. My guests have gone out of their way to tell me how great it was. The price structure is very reasonable. Thank you so much for making my night special.

Had a lovely lunch with my work colleagues. The menu has some great selections. I chose the rigatoni with prawns which was delicious. My colleague had the parmigiana.

Had a great meal here, the staff were very friendly. There are no photos but a great meal. Sat in front of the fireplace before the bistro opened and then moved into bistro for lunch.

Great place for a family get together. Big tables plenty of space for seating. Kids play room. TV 📺 placed around for sport. Service excellent food great 👍.

Great place for a band with standard priced drinks. The bistro is ok and serves standard pub meals. It’s disappointing that there’s no a more inclusive vegan/vegetarian menu especially in 2024. A token risotto or a salad isn’t enough to satisfy someone for dinner….. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Would of been nice when we were seated to know how service works as we waited for table service before heading to the bar and being advised you order from the kitchen. For me l had the Thai salad and it was out of this,world, totally recommend!

Chef did a great job on my Tomahawk steak and T-bone steak, perfecto as my request. Their staff are friendly.

A can always rely on the Stamford for a good night. Don't get to excited its still a pub.
Yet the family bistro is big enough to have a few families sit together with solid food.
The attached restaurant Graziers is perfect for that special occasion. Went again last night for about the tenth time, still up there as one of the best pub restaurants.
I will drive an extra 15 minutes to get there. While passing other pubs, so yes one of my old reliables.
