Went to dinner last night at the Star Hotel. I was told by my family to try the $20 dollar steak sandwich. Wow is all I can say, it was huge and there’s a great side of chips with gravy. I am a big eater and I couldn’t eat it all. My family members ordered 2 small pizzas and I would of sworn they were large ones. Others tried the cutlets and chicken kiev which is a big size too. I definitely will be back.

Visitors from QLD Maroochydore passing through. This hotel was suggested to us from a fellow resident of Albury, we have to say compliments to the bar, floor and kitchen staff. Atmosphere was amazing with the coldest beer on tap 🍺 the food was one of if not the best we have eaten in a long time. Lamb shanks and vegetables, the lamb shanks just falling of the bone, potato mash so silky, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and corn all perfectly cooked with a little crunch and all tasted like they were picked from the garden. An amazing beer garden with mist spraying to keep you cool on a hot day.
If I could give 6 stars I would.

very sorry . . BUT . . I felt quite ill from all the cigarette smoke filling the dining room . . So much effort has been put into nice renovations, with good sized meals and a good selection of drinks. But, the smoke really detracts from everything. not keen on returning

This us a traditional type pub with the tradies loving and frequenting it. The meals are average priced and huge in size, just massive. The quality and taste however is average. Customer service is also average. There is a pokies room and a massive outdoor screen in the outdoor area. Parking is hard to get easily and a shirt walk may be required. They have a really good two-up set up on Anzac Day out the back if you are looking for somewhere to go. Average meal at an average pub.

The team at the Star Hotel are awesome!
We recently had our daughters 18th Birthday there and I couldn’t have been happier with event.
Everything from booking the occasion, organising the food, setting up, to clean up afterwards… Nicole had us covered. She was an absolute gem.
The food was a hit, especially the calamari platter. The night in general huge was a success!! THANK YOU!

Tables look like they never get cleaned . Service non existent . Totally understaffed told us after we paid that there was a 40 minute wait. Blew out to over an hour

Outstanding!! 10/10 would recommend!! The food came out so quickly and was absolutely incredible.. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection.. The portion sizes were massive.. My partner and I are absolute piglets and we were both full to the brim after a meal each and a shared entree.. The entree portion alone was likely enough to satisfy one non gluttonous human.. We were so happy with what we ordered and all the food coming out to the tables around us looked and smelled delicious as well.. The prices are completely reasonable considering the amount and quality of food.. There were loads of indoor and outdoor seating options with plenty of heaters in the outdoor area to fend off the winter chill.. All the staff were friendly and helpful.. The facilities were all clean and fresh.. The atmosphere was great.. So many folks of all ages enjoying date nights, meals with family or drinks with friends.. I cannot speak highly enough of this place!! Bloody excellent!!

Nice pub. Food was good but not great. Enjoyed our dinner. Staff were excellent.

My Boss and I were in Albury for work this week and we tried The Star for dinner after being recommended to go there. Well, It was so good we returned every night! The food was stand out yum, and huge portion size to $$ paid. Chef Michelle made our meal time special every night! Thanks for great hospitality!

I visited from WA and enjoyed my meal of grilled perch and steamed veggies. Very impressed with the neatness and decor inside. Staff are lovely and efficient ❤️

If I could give more then 5 stars I would give it 10.
Food is absolutely fantastic.
Really generous portions
We always take home about two boxes which last days!
The waitress and and the bar staff are very friendly and polite
Very clean, unfortunately no kids section but have colouring books
The outdoor area is heated and very large.

Great place with a fantastic vibe. The staff were absolutely great especially the doormen who greeted you with the biggest smile ever, that's what I call the best welcome I've ever experienced with service like this it's a win/win in my eyes. Thank you Star Hotel

Good.
Was busy but the kitchen a well oiled machine churning out meals quickly.
Had chicken, chips and mash with gravy.
Quality all good and portions above average, though not enough gravy.

Can not speak highly enough about the Star Hotel. We arrived to see our table clearing marked. The service at the bar was exceptional. Very polite.
The food was amazing. Huge meals. Our whole table was served together. The food was hot and very well presented.
The service from the waitress was awesome. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She was polite and made sure we were all well looked after. Table was cleared when we were all finished not coming and going while we were still eating.
Highly recommend this pub. You will not be disappointed.
Will definitely go back again.

Bistro smelt of cigarette smoke from adjacent sport bar garden. Rump steak tough and salad lacking in vegetables and dressing.
