When it's come to Tiger 🐯 the rating is full for this Start hotel.
What I like the most :
🐯 tiger beer 🍺 is available @14 per Jug.
Open 9 am to 6 am so you have a full day or full night to enjoy the Beer.
Cozy 😊 enviornment, good Sitting and a full screen to watch your favourite matches and not much loudly so you can enjoy the chit chat with your buddies 😺 friends and so on.
Will try their food soon and will review accordingly ☺️

We tried to go for a drink in a quiet place and the rude security guard just told us to go away. We just had a dinner before... no drinks.
Apparently we drunk enough tonight. Your venue looked pretty quiet and we know why...
Unfortunately i have to give you 1 star minimum but 0 will definitely be the right rate !

We booked a night there to attend a wedding close by. It been a nightmare, 4 TV’s none of them working. Very dirty floors and walls, broken automatic blinds, broken toilet and sink. If look like been a war inside this three bedroom apartment. Really disappointed and unhappy because them supposed to check the apartment before handing it to others customers. They will never see me again over there.

Was refused entry whilst completely sober, security assaulted me and snatched my mobile device, did not provide valid reason to refuse entry, instead the security man handled me and threw me to side walk.
This is the worst venue I have ever approached.
Never again will I waste my time here.
I spoke to the manager in a calm respectful manner and was treated like garbage
I’d prefer to commit suicide than try enter this venue again

Tiny bar area with massive gambling area. Completely geared to taking money from people. Zero service.

This pub has lost it. It used to be a good place to relax and have a drink without gambling rammed down your throat. There's far too many screens with too much going on. It used to be better with the toilets out the back and not in the drinking area which is disgusting. Sad to see what used to be the best pub in Sydney has become.

This is the iconic star hotel! Heath Ledger fans would know all too well when he was in 1 of his early films Two Hands! An awesome dark comedy based in Sydney in the 90s.

This has been my after work drinking spot for a while. Great staff and door man who will look after you. They remember you name and what you drink. Great people.

Small cosy pub with TAB, Keno and pokies.
Opens 9am to 6am. 🤯
Good selection of beers. $8 Stella Pints and $16 Tiger Jugs.

Not as I remembered it last year. A group of us 3 to 5 people have an annual get-together and head to the casino to spend some money and have a few drinks. This is only for a couple of hours and win or loose. We always walk away happy.
On this occasion, it was very different. We walked into the security checks as per normal procedure for casino's. Both the Polynesian men at the counter psychologically interrogated us on how many drinks we had and at what time. We had 4 beers at a pub with dinner over 3 hours! It was a bit much, kind of a carry on tbh. They then sent a security personal with us to escort us to the bar where we had to ask for water before ordering an alcoholic beverage, which is such an abuse of power.
We all own businesses and understand how it works, but the rudness and micromanagement of patrons made us feel very uncomfortable. We ordered the waters spent 50 each and got out of there.
I'm happy to say our new annual events won't have anything to do with the casino.
Having said all of the above, the other times we have been there were really good, with escorts to the high rollers. Can be really fun if you have a good experience. All the best 👍

Nice pub for a drink with friends, or just a quick one on the way home.. great location, friendly staff, offered me a drink as soon as I got there, & if U like the pokies, try your luck!?

Nice place. I like the fish tank inside the pokies. Over all pretty alright. I know I look small but I do not appreciate being asked for my ID 3 times. If you can't trust your security at the door, maybe you should get new security.

Nice corner pub if you want to watch sport or do a little betting while having a few drinks. A few pokies out back

Nice city pub. Won on pokies so happy. Toilets bit limited with basically one ladies and a unisex with two cubicals. (One had a vomit spray not cleaned for at lest an hour).
Is a good spot for a few city drinks. Not overly expensive.

I would love to say zero stars but your roided out freak of a bouncer refused to give me directions and he actually pushed me away. I had no intention of going in, and was looking for another place to go to.
Hire people who have some discretion next time.

I had just completed a 4 hour walk around Sydney CBD and Kings Cross and Harbour walk and needed a drink and toilet break. I stopped at Star Hotel near to China Town. Nice little Pub with clean toilets and friendly staff

Hi star hotel, my grandfathers been on this earth 87years but apparently at star hotel that doesn’t count. Unless he’s got money to spend on the pokies he’s not welcome. Kicking veterans out for not being sober as they enter a pub is sacrilege. The bouncer has a real attitude that needs adjusting. Peace

Great pub with a friendly feel. From the staff to the gaming area, everything feels very welcoming and inviting. The Star has a wide range of beers and spirits and a great place to spend the afternoon or evening.

Great little pub with a huge TAB. A little piece of Australian cinema royalty as this was the location for Heath Ledger and Rose Byrne having a date in two hands. Small pub but good location and reasonably priced.

$9.20 for a schooner of beer. Outrageous. The pub has history but has been decked out with pokies. Lost its feel. Went to the Great Southern hotel $6.50 schooners and much better atmosphere
