We were a weekly regular and loved the menu. It was simple but all the options ( besides the burger) were great! For a pub they even served a curry which is rare to see in a pub. My partner always raved on about how good the steak was, also the veggies they served which meals were so good!! But in the last 2 weeks we noticed a big changed. The steak prices rose by 40% they completely changed the menu over. They took veggies off the menu and said they only serve it with the roast now. And they serve meals with coleslaw…… going into winter soon this was a terrible move.
We spoke to management and they told us menus were changed from higher up. Obviously the owners have no clue. But as a regular in Bacchus marsh and with minimal pubs to go too we are now having to look outside of the area. Ballarat here we come.
Such a shame.
Bring back the original menu and you’ll bring back your regulars.

We really liked our experience here.
Very friendly greetings, clean, tidy, bright and comfortable seating.
We started with the cheesy, bacon and garlic bread for starters. Yummy.
Then we had the Chicken and Mushroom Scallopini and also the Creamy Garlic Prawns.
The Chicken and Mushroom Scallopini was awesome delicious. Served with bright green steamed broccolini on a bed of mash. Yummy.
Unfortunately, on this occasion, in our opinion, the garlic and seasoning seemed a little bit underdone with the Creamy Garlic Prawns dish. The prawns were very yummy, delicious and fresh. But the creamy sauce was a little bit under seasoned and didn't seem to have any garlic ... but that may be because we are accustomed to a good strong garlic kick when we order it.
We also tried the Red Velvet cake. Wow. Wow. We ordered one serve to share between the two of us. I can honestly say that we still regret to this moment that we didn't order two serves! Really!
We really liked our experience here, and we intend to return again, regularly.
We highly recommend visiting here, especially during a lunch time, as we did.

Went there last night after months.
This the second time we have gone and found a HAIR in our food.
This is also the second time they have wanted to compensate with a drink or dessert. Which means we paid full price for that meal.
What a joke.

Very disappointed. Have been coming here for years but our last 2 experiences here will be our last. Food is worse and more expensive. Paid $90 for 1 main ($27) 2 entrees ($28) and a couple of drinks, plus a kids meal that was supposedly taken off the bill because it had HAIR IN IT. Staff were friendly and helpful but other than that was an unpleasant experience.
UPDATE: went back tonight for the first time in months, just because our son was desperate to play the claw machine and play on the playground. And once again there was a hair in our food. Informed the staff and they offered us a free dessert (which we declined) still paid for our hairy meal on the bill. 100% last time we come here.

This fantastic pub is set in the heart of bacchus marsh is family friendly and offers great deals ranging from Parma night steak night and kids eat free the food is super tasty and fresh it will surly satisfy your tastebuds and fill the hole in your stomach in your stomach the staff here are friendly and will greet you with a smile and a friendly hello so come on down and have a meal and a great night out or day

THE BEST KID FRIENDLY RESTAURANT IN BACCHUS MARSH!! kids eat free before 5pm on Monday - Friday!! Can’t do better than that!! Beautiful interior!!

Sue is a star. Warm bubbly and made sure we were more than looked after. Food was delish. Outside bar area lovely and pet friendly. Our pup loved it too!

I recently had a disappointing experience with the oysters at this restaurant. Initially told they were sold out, then offered 24, and ultimately only receiving 15 - the whole ordeal was quite frustrating. When they did finally arrive, they were overcooked and topped with barbecue sauce, which was very unappetizing. On a positive note, the Duck spring rolls and Aaron Cheney balls were delicious, and the restaurant did remove them from the bill due to the confusion. Overall, I was dissatisfied with the oysters but pleased with the service recovery.

I didn't have a great night first time... BUT.... I've been back and I have to say... ABSOLUTELY A FANTASTIC NIGHT.. Favorite Place to Go.

I can't believe the amount they charge for the tale always meals quite joke honestly to pay so much and only get a half portion will not be returning. Also there online take away menu needs alot of work and has very limited items on it staff super friendly tho so still some bonuses

Hi I just like to say a big thank you to Jess D as we called in on Saturday night for a meal we needed a table for 3 but she said they only had a table for 2 but then surgested she could put an other seat at that table and with we order meals and drinks all of our meals were great thanks Jess D we will be back

Great food, staff and atmosphere. They’ve been taking care of my family and I for years. Now with the little ones, it’s still the best spot as there is a playground/play area for them.

Good sized restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff. Very good service. Meals were reasonably priced with a good variety of options on the menu. Kids playing facility near meals area. Good place to go for all.

Food was delicious 😋. The Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was fantastic. We recommend👌 that this is an awesome place for anyone to enjoy food with friend's and family 👪

Food was delicious 😋 l had the lamb salad and hubby had the beer battered fish and chips. Service was good and friendly. Definitely will go back again 😊

Food is always good here
The kids playground didn't have a way to stop the kids opening the door to go outside. Hard to keep an eye on children from the bistro.

Excellent variety on the menu and a really good vibe for a Friday work lunch. Food came out and very well presented and was extremely nice. Great prices and staff were great. Definitely recommend to others. Will return next time I am in the area.

Chicken parma is amazing and enough to feed a small army. Recommended if you are really hungry. Friendly staff as well

Atmosphere was lovely, but food wasn't the best, kids chips were like the end of a packet. Waited ages for food had to follow up on our order. Only good things were the beers.

As I am a ‘Steak’ man, I need to compliment the chef after having the most perfectly cooked steak that I’ve had in a long time. Both mine, and my wife’s meal were exceptional, along with the most pleasant staff serving us. I would highly recommend, if you enjoy the perfect steak, try Stoney’s.

Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Food was on point and a great price. Didn't have the coffee personally but the feedback from the group was that it was excellent.

A big shout out to Corey behind the bar . There was a disgruntled patron and he was able to talk his charm to calm the idiot down befor making him leave . He acted professional under a stressful situation and had a lot more patience than he had to . Went above and beyond . Deserves a pay rise !!
