Wonderful experience. Had previously had a lunch on the verandah restaurant & was so good we came back
Definitely reassured that we made the right choice. Food excellent, service amazing & atmosphere very very comfortable.

Was a conference situation. The food was amazing as was the staff. The dessert was amazing but very rich for my tummy

Very busy restaurant (a little noisy at times) but with amazing scallops with wasabi aioli and wakame and two types of smoky bay oysters.
The stone grill option is pretty cool as you can cook your steak to your liking. Also served with delicious sweet corn ribs and miso butter.

Took my partner for her first stone grill experience. The quality of the food was wonderful as it was a pleasant and great food experience at the Strathyre restaurant. The service is pleasant and to detail. We both thought we got value for money as the food portions were great.
Thankyou to the wonderful staff for making our night so special.
Look forward to our next visit to one of my
favourite Adelaide restaurants.

The new and improved Strathmore hotel is a marvel. I had my 21’st here nearly 10 years ago, and it’s a far cry from the gorgeous modern restaurant we were treated to upstairs. We came here for my Dad’s birthday after the footy and came up to the balcony restaurant. The atmosphere is delightful, it’s high end without forgetting that after all, it’s still a pub. Christine, the person who waited our table was the best of the best, she was warm and engaging. The food was pricey but worth it, although the gravy/jus/demi glacé argument continues!

The busiest restaurant in Adelaide. Went there for dinner around 6pm on Friday. When we went there it was almost full. I think every evening it becomes crowded. Drinks and food are really good and prices are also reasonable. After placing an order, it will take a long time to get on the table. Approximately 30 minutes wait time. The staff is friendly and they do their best. The restaurant atmosphere is quite nice.

One of my favourite places to meet up with friends before or after an AFL game. Easy to get to from Adelaide Oval.
Very relaxed atmosphere & friendly staff. Delicious meals. In particular the hot stone steaks. Great drink deals also.

Nice place for diner, food was nice, great customer service, place is a bit cramped and noisy.
But overall, great for family/after-work gatherings.

My wife and I visited for dinner on Wednesday 8th May. The food was super delicious and it was a good experience to use the stone grill to cook the steak to my liking. Staff were friendly and food came out quickly. Will visit again when we are next in Adelaide.

My trip to Adelaide was absolutely sensational. It was made extra special by my trip to this 8th wonder of the world located in the heart of Adelaide. With fabulous specials and 50 different varieties of beers you can't miss this place.
As per an amazing recommendation from Jake I ordered a rump steak on a stone grill. A one of a kind experience and the only stone grill left in Adelaide. Very delicious and a unique experience and is a must do for everyone.
The shaken espresso martini that was made for me was so good. So good I just had to get a second.
The customer service from Jake was second to none. Putting up with all my questions and unique requests. He made the experience so much better for me.
Can't finish this without giving a shout out to Ruby. Greeted with a smile and a bouncy personality I was highly impressed with her management skills. A powerful member of the team showing that a job can also be made fun while remaining professional. A+
Hats of to the team of staff I unfortunately didn't get to meet which I hope to meet in the future.
If I could give you guys more than 5 stars I would. By far the best bar I have ever been to and I can guarantee I'll be back as a regular. Well worth the price of an airfare from Canberra.

My partner and I went for dinner on New Years Eve on the Verandah (before the cricket) and it was incredible. The food was spectacular, the chocolate tart with peanut butter ice cream was a standout, a wonderful atmosphere and brilliant service by our waiter James. What a hospitality superstar he is. It was busy (as expected) but food came out timely and the staff had everything under control. A wonderful dinner out. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had dinner in the Veranda Restaurant for my Birthday. We had a fantastic table by the window with views over North Terrace.
The food was great and our server was fantastic. Christine obviously loves her job and was really attentive along with super friendly and a joy to have looking after us. It was a lovely dinner and would definitely recommend it.

Had a quick dinner after a whole day meeting at the conference. It was nice to find a restaurant opening in the evening on Monday! The mushroom pizza was delicious. Staff is friendly.
Lots of people were at the restaurant, as not many opens in the evening on Monday.

Great place for a beer and dinner, in a cool location.
Parking nearby which was a bit expensive but it is what is..
It was fully booked and packed! That was a Monday so I would say making a reservation is essential no matter what day of the week.
We ordered the chicken breast and the halloumi burger and we weren’t disappointed. I would order the same thing next time but I’m very excited to try something new. Good menu, lots of great choices and reasonably priced. Will be back.

Great location. My friends' Barra was lovely, but my Ceasar Salad was disappointing.

Great food on the Verandah, amazing steaks and side dishes.
Wide variaty of wine options to choose from.
Customer service is great, got it without the prior booking and got the table with the view!

Great food and service. Steak and prawns were cooked to my liking on the stone grill by me 😀 . Chips were hot and salad was fresh. Will be back again.

Great location, great online booking service.
Bit noisy, due to the large amount of people there. But besides that would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Adelaide like we were.

Fantastic place for dinner & drinks or just drinks.
Upstairs is a trendy bar on one side matched by a classy restaurant on the other.
Service is perfect - welcoming & friendly service with a smile.
Food was 👌, highly recommend their steaks but the chicken was also amazing!
See you again next city night stay

Even though it was extremely busy due to gather round football could not fault hospitality, service and food. We were booked into verandah dining area and it was a fantastic experience. Thank you Christine who attended our table so efficiently and friendly. It was a great lunch out with the girlfriends.

Enjoyed a meal after theatre show at Dunstan Playhouse. Short 5 minutes walk. Very accessible for people using a wheelchair, scooter, frame. Tram and train stations with in 200metres.
Came to table to take orders and payments. All very pleasant. Nice meals. Good prices including drinks.

Called in here for a drink & drop a few coins in the pokies. Great atmosphere

Went here for dinner on the Friday night. The cricket test had finished & the place was packed. A credit to all staff as the efficiency & ease of placing an order, receiving meals & bar orders was great. Great value for meals & they accommodated my M.I.L. who was in a wheelchair no problem 🙏🙏👍👍❤️

Amazing food with plenty of vegetarian options ! Do try out their haloumi chips and haloumi burger ! The staff are very friendly too and the service is fantastic! The place has pretty cool vibes and always busy !

About 20 of us went for dinner Friday the 24th May 2024. Atmosphere was good. Place was full. Service was good and the staff attentive. A few of us choked a few times and the waitress said it was because of the pepper the kitchen used and the fine particles sometimes wafted through the dining area. I had a 220gm sirloin steak and it came with 3 baby potatoes. It was $50. The steak was (somewhat) 'chewy' and two people sitting near me said the same thing. I thought it was a bit over priced. In saying all this, I'd go back and give them another try.
