Casual motel featuring a laid-back bistro & a sports bar, plus a children's playground. Off of the M1 freeway, this laid-back motel is 6 km from Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology, 7 km from Caboolture Golf Club, and 8 km from Explorer Park. Featuring exterior entrances, the 10 relaxed rooms provide TVs, minifridges, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. A bi-level family room has 3 bedrooms, a kitchenette and a living area. Amenities include an unpretentious bistro and a sports bar. There's also a kids' playground. Parking is available.

Went for Sunday night dinner with friends and the food was okay but a couple of ladies ordered steak wasn't cooked to how they liked it sent back and one of our groups steak was then over cooked.

Welcoming bar person: very polite and helpful. Good cold beer!
Helpful karaoke facilitators. Reasonable selection of tunes to choose from.
Only negative aspect to the night was when one of the karaoke patrons took hold of the mic and subjected the other guests to his opinions on politics, religion and other divisive topics. As he seemed like something of a local legend, and I was a first time guest, I quietly and peacefully left.

Very disappointed with the meal I ordered today. The meal was delivered by door dash without any issues. The pork ribs were burnt like charcoal. The customer service from the manager (Peter) was worse than the burnt ribs. The manager was very rude over the phone when I contacted him to complain. I drove 5km to the hotel and he grabbed the burnt ribs and said on my face " go away - that's how they should look like. I'm not going to refund you". This is the worst service I have experienced in my lifetime. I wouldn't recommend this place for a meal.

This place has been done up so well, it has been a while but I was shocked how good this place looked. With a comfortable well set out sports bar, pokies and nice little bistro as well a some outdoor seating also.

The. Only downside is that there is no clothes washin facility here.
Rooms are good, the bathroom is spacious, with a great shower.
All the staff are very helpful
The resteraunt make delishous food, which can be ordered directly to ure room, or u can dine either in the beautifully decorated dining room, or outside where there are plenty of tables.
There is a fenced playground for the kids, to play in, adjacent to the outdoor dining
There are pokies, if thats ure thing. Im sorry to hear that that is, if it is.
There is a large sports bar, with multiple big screen tvs and a TAB,.
Personally Id rather spend it at the bottleo, than lose it to a pokie machine, but diffrent stokes, u know.
The bottle shop, both drive thru and in shop, of which the hours vary, but its ususally closed by either eight ir nine depending on what day it is.

Staff were really friendly. Prices were pretty good. Go there on an empty stomach because the food sizes are massive. Especially the Parmy.

Staff are lovely, setting is nice, food is not the best. This is my second time here to ensure it wasn't just one bad incident. Got steak and vege, ordered medium rare but it was well done. Vegetables were 50% cauliflower. Used the men's facility and found a messy floor, one toilet fully clogged, the other toilets paper dispenser was broken apart, and there was no soap in the dispensers.

Sports bar has great staff members working there, including Rochelle, April, Ella.and Jordan. Very welcoming, friendly and accommodating people. The food is great, however it’s far too expensive and overpriced. Where are the traditional rump and chips for $15?? Everything is so expensive on the menu. ☹️
Good to see that you’ve brought live music back, however maybe get bands that sing hit songs that people actually know or maybe hire bands that bring in the crowds… Don’t be such tight arses and actually spend some money on quality entertainment and you’ll bring in the people to cover your costs… just saying 🤷🏼♂️
Courtesy bus would be nice too 🤷🏼♂️ Not crucial but it would be nice…
Remove that stupidly positioned pole that sits right in the middle of the big screen tvs too… That's ridiculous…!
Bar snacks of something like party pies or sausage rolls would be nice to… Where have the mentos lollies gone from the gaming area??
Overall it’s alright but you could do so much better…

Split decision for dinner landed us at the Sundowner. Smallish dining room but had a table available when visited on Friday night. Staff friendly and polite. Meals were huge but adequately priced. Tasted amazing, we ordered The Outback and the sundowner. My only gripe was I had a glass with leftover lipstick on it..

Plant based schnitty as big as my face! Good value plate, schooner of mid strength and my meal for $33! Chips were crunchy, schnitty well cooked and crispy, side salad was decent though I would have like a bit more tomato (just one large chunk) and maybe a choice of dipping sauce to add that little extra. I’m impressed Sundowner, overall very good meal, clean and tidy, sports bar was good, bathrooms very clean and well kept.

Ok. I like to support local business. I hope this review is based off a bad day. I hope this is a bad day and not a business trying to rip off the customer. Notice how there is no photo for the “Ribs and Wings” menu item?
It’s because the ribs = 1. That number isn’t 1 rack of ribs. It’s singular. Im pretty sure its 1 rib cut into 1/3’s. The bone was smaller than a pinky finger. Come to think about it. It might be 1.5 ribs if they are cutting baby back ribs in half. And the wings equal 2. That being said. The rib was tender.
See how the menu says slaw? That’s also a lie. It’s a basic garden salad without dressing. Best quality item on the plate were the chips.
I want to like the place. The service was great. I want to change my review but receiving 1 rib cut into 1/3’s hurt.
At the end of the day. Everyone has bad moments. I’ll still come back 1 or 2 more times to see if it was a bad day.

Nice clean place with a large sports bar. The restaurant was great also.
Menu is reasonable and fair priced, really good size portions with fresh ingredients.
Staff were friendly and attentive.

Meals just got better than ever. & way better than other pub grub joints around. Good aircon, great staff, prices are reasonable but heavyish as you'd expect from a corporate owned licenced pokie joint. Still worth 5 stars though on food alone.

I understand that there was a reason for the delay due to a show but I was very disappointed that it took 2 hours for our food to arrive and we weren’t told about the delay meals were smaller than usual and our guests from the USA were disappointed with Luke warm meals and arriving at 6:30 and now it’s 9pm and leaving. We raved about your service but tonight didn’t live up to expectations.

I had my young daughter with me when we went to meet my partner and his friends for after work drinks. They were seated near the bar and we all sat and chatted. After about 10 minutes, a member of staff came over and asked us how long we had been there for. Without enough time to respond, she turned the cutlery holder around and pulled out a small piece of paper which had 18+ written on it.
We hadn’t seen the signage as it wasn’t very visible, nor was there anything on the walls that we could have seen when we walked in. Maybe a sign on one of the pillars would have been helpful.
We were happy to move, but she was so rude about it we decided to leave shortly after. The whole situation could have been handled better, we won’t be coming back.

Great sports bar with huge big screen. Went for Super Bowl and had a great time. Staff were fantastic food was well priced. Will be back.

Great pub, young fella Adrian behind the bar is great to chat with! Customer service is excellent. Meals are also great with great portion sizes.

Great price very friendly and attentive staff, they could not do enough to ensure our room and meal was perfect. A shout out to Brendon what a hard worker you are, even between customers you were working cleaning tables and chairs wiping down picture frames etc, we were impressed.Great selection on menu,reasonable prices. Will definitely be recommending and using your motel and facilities in the near future.

First visit here and in no way disappointed.
Great food, cold drinks, friendly and fast service. The rib fillet steak special was bang on!
We will definitely be back!

Didnt stay in a room so dont know what they are like so won't say anything. However the food here is so yummy! Great service! Good place to go with family and friends
