About Sunnybank Hotel
Unassuming roadside property featuring a steakhouse with a sports bar, as well as free parking. At the intersection of State Route 36 and State Route 56, this low-key hotel in a low-rise building is 2 km from both the Pacific Highway and Altandi train station. It's 18 km from the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Streamlined rooms provide, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minifridges, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Parking is complimentary. Other amenities include a relaxed steakhouse with a sports bar, plus a children's game room.

Went for dinner last week. Had the most amazing server Jacob! Took care of us the whole night, most welcoming experience. Will 100% be back because of him!

We attended Sunnybank hotel last weekend and was absolutely blown away by the amazing service and hospitality by staff especially a staff member by the name of Georgia,
Georgia happily and professionally helped us with our food selection and was overall a lovely person to deal with!
Such a lovely person making it a wonderful experience

Was very impressed with the service. Throughout lunch & dinner wait staff persisted and were very polite & busy the whole time. One waiter Jake made cocktails and deliver our delicious meal on time.

This place is a awesome venue I love coming here with my family during the day for the amazing steaks and at night with the boys for the amazing hospitality from the security guard Lewis and the staff members Katelyn and Katie the excellent manager they not only uphold there duties but they also make me feel like apart of a big family I recommend this place for family’s and a good night out trouble free

This is a review for the pub.
With 3 out of 4 corners on the intersection of Mains Rd & McCullough St in Sunnybank being chock full of Asian dining options, Sunnybank Hotel sticks out as a non-Asian beacon on the 4th corner.
I've only ever been here very occasionally and this time was a dinner of some typical pub food:
* Aussie burger, $25.50 - beef pattie, tomato, beetroot, caramelised onion, lettuce, cheese, BBQ sauce
* add extra sweet potato chips, $3.50
* chicken schnitzel, $23 - with choice of 2 sides (chips, seasonal vegetables)
* kids fish, $13 - with choice of sides (chips & salad), drink (lemonade), and ice cream sauce (caramel)
I made a booking but there were no staff to greet or seat us upon entry so I went to track one down, whereupon we were directed to our table. No physical menus were provided though I think some are available if you ask. Ordering at the table via QR code incurs a credit card processing fee of 1.5% - not sure if that also applies if you order at the counter. No water is offered or provided but can be requested at the bar. Overall I found the service somewhat distant, though functional.
The wall we were sitting in front of had 3 screens full of sports action going on. I had the worst view though (back to the wall) so didn't really catch any of it. If you like to watch sports with your meal make sure to book/request a table with a better view.
Food wise we were all pretty happy with our meals, though the boy was hoping for more fish in his. Overall it's a decent alternative if you're wanting something non-Asian in the unofficial Chinatown of Brisbane.

This is a fantastic place for food, drinks, live sport or pokies. They've got 3 massive screens playing all the popular sports and they always have the current live games playing. The food is always done perfect and staff are super friendly. Its spacious and the decor is very nice. Love it.

The service and food was great. My 4 year old spilt his soft drink all over the table and staff member caitlin was so nice about it. She cleaned up the table and made sure we were all ok. Legend, will be back!

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staffs are friendly. Near the hotel there is a shopping center so it is easy to find food or other needs. I'm from Indonesia on a business trip and this is my very first trip to Australia. I'm still staying at this hotel for the next 4 days.

The absolutely best place to hang out and have a brew and a great meal. From Thursday to Sunday you can't go wrong with the $12.50 jugs.
Cheap jugs aside, if I could give more than 5 stars for the staff, food and service, I would give 10! Besides being awesome at what they do, they have excellent people skills and the environment is always homely and very welcoming. I couldn't recommend any other place. Huge appreciation to Kierra our lovely bar and restaurant staff at the Sunnybank Hotel 🥰

Stayed for a Bucks weekend 15-20th May. Accommodation was great value for money with daily servicing and 20% off food (food was top notch)
Couldn’t say enough about how accommodating the staff were. Everyone we interacted with was fantastic from Check-in, restaurant, Bar, and even security.

Shoutout to the staff for always being polite and fast! They have the best smokey bbq ribs and icy cool beer. Great place to grab a quick feed with ur mates 🤙🏻

One of the best steak house ever that I visited in my life . Very delicious food with big 3 screen , enough staffs on the floor to take care of us and other costumers . Food served very quickly and well presented. Shout out to the beautiful chefs out there . I’ll definitely visit again 😀😀

My family and I came here for dinner, had the prawn and crab risotto and it was to DIE for! However, the serving size was a bit too small for the amount I paid. The service was amazing, the 3 projecter screens with sport on was amazing and the interior decorating was gorgeous!

i visit the pub pretty much every week and the food and service is amazing, i usually get this one server Shearia and she’s an absolute sweetheart! always serving with a smile, incredibly accommodating and always bringing food out on time :)

I live nearby so I came here very often to play the pokies. Actually it is the busiest tavern I’ve ever seen in Australia cause most of the time it was overcrowded by people. My experience here was quite nice as most of my time spent here was playing pokies so the staff walked by was always very nice and offered food and drinks. But just 5 hours ago, when I was there, the place was full of people. Every machine had been occupied. Me and my friend was walking around to find a free one, and we encountered a same waitress for twice or three times. She was also the one who offered me drinks when I played in the afternoon. As she’s kind beautiful and friendly in the afternoon so I once had very good impression about her. But last night, when she ran into us at the third time, she said, guys, you always blocked my way, it’s been a trouble for us. If you are not playing, please leave this place and stop blocking the way. I was shocked by the rudeness as just few hours ago I was still thinking she’s the nicest girl in that place. Recently I’ve played and lost around $5000 over there but I didn’t hate that place as I knew gambling has odds to lose. But the way she treated me at Saturday night really pissed me off.

Haven't been since the renovation. Looks great more modern. The menu is great, good to see different things. Our meals were delicious. Enjoyed our time here. Recommended

Had a fantastic time tonight. Bar staff were very helpful and accommodating. I’m sure our large group made drink orders difficult but the staff made us feel very welcome :)

First time at Sunnybank Hotel, everyone enjoyed their time . Service was quick, efficient, and was served with a smile. Dinner was exceptional, the steak was cooked to perfection. Kiera was very helpful throughout the service and she left everyone with a smile on our faces!

First time at Sunnybank Hotel, certainly was not disappointed. Service was quick, efficient, and was served with a smile. Dinner was exceptional, the steak was cooked to perfection. Caitlin was very helpful throughout my visit and she left me with a smile on my face! Definitely recommend

Excellent service! Came in last night with a big group and I'm sure we didn't make things easy with our constant string of cocktail orders. The staff were super patient and accommodating, 10/10 experience.

Caitlin at the gaming bar is excellent, very professional. She really knows how to treat the patrons n guests with utmost respect. She is a very valuable staff n has a lot of potential. Thank u Caitlin l enjoy talking n having a laugh always with you. U are excellent. Always goes the extra mile.

Best place for a meal.
Meals are beautiful and very well priced.
The staff are all friendly and can cope just as well under pressure.

Absolute exceptional service from Katie and Dani tonight, even though busy and running around keeping the venue in tack they managed to keep a great atmosphere within the room!! Super stars!! 🌟
