Yesterday we celebrated my son's 21st birthday. We had around 40 guests. A shout out to their staff member Anita, who I cannot praise enough, for her advice & guidance, following up before the event, and was so efficient at the event itself. The food came out on time, all together. The portion size was good. All my guests enjoyed themselves. About the venue itself, it does not look like a normal bar you would attend, but a high class restaurant. All the other staff members who helped were great too! Thanks Tassels!!

Yep....... that is definately a Sonja pub...... we even took cakes home to eat they looked so scrumptious!
12/09/2023 So lovely to see Sonja tonight, in her 80's and still running the pass..... nothing slips by her.
Clean plates all round, thank you for all the service over the years since we first met at Whitfords Tavern. ❤️

Wonderful meals at extremely reasonable prices, I dare say cheaper than comparable restaurants! Our entire group of seven thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I am sure this place will become a regular for myself. Glad Tassels opened. I think the Stirling area really was craving for a place like this!

Went for the recommended Beef Burger.
+ the food was hot. The beer was crisp and cold. That's pretty much it.
- Chips were bland and unappealing.
- Burger. It resembled a Burger. Patty was dry af and overcooked. Way too much sauce. Which meant it was hard hold with ingredients sliding out.
Waste of $26. Would not recommend.

We had my Mums 83rd birthday lunch here yesterday with a table of 21. So convenient to order and pay individually for a large group. All of the meals arrived together & they were all delicious & very generous servings. Impeccable service by the wait staff and bar. Highly recommend.

We had an absolutely appalling and horrific experience at Tassels on Mother's Day. The owner should be ashamed of allowing such incidents to happen. We were misled on the phone when booking, being told they were open until 10 PM. We reserved a table at 8 PM for around 10 women, expecting a pleasant evening.
Upon arrival, we were disregarded by the staff who didn’t bother bringing us a beverage menu. We were then forced by the manager to order drinks and food immediately because they wanted to close the kitchen early. They claimed the cooks wanted to go home, despite it being Mother's Day. This is completely unacceptable—hire more staff if necessary!
All of us ordered meat dishes, each costing around $50, which arrived undercooked and practically raw. We hadn't even finished eating when they started collecting our plates and drinks, clearly trying to rush us out. Throughout the meal, the staff stood at the counter, gossiping about us, and making us feel extremely uncomfortable. Their behavior was appalling—they were like hyenas waiting to pounce.
We spent around $1,000 collectively, expecting a quality experience. Instead, we were treated with utter disrespect. When we complained to the manager about the rushed service and poor food quality, she didn’t care at all. The staff's rude and unprofessional behavior was beyond disappointing.
There are countless better places to go where you'll be treated with the respect you deserve, especially on Mother's Day. The prices at Tassels are exorbitant for the low quality of both food and service. We will never set foot in this place again.

*Update July 2022: Still great food, fast and friendly service.
Walked around the corner from Ikea and found this new place. Modern, well furnished and impressive. Massive restaurant, bar and bistro, including sports bar.
Meals are reasonably priced and well sized.
Shared the Seafood Platter for $39 and had 2 desserts, Sticky Date and Choc Brownie $11ea. All were delicious and came out hot & quickly.
Bar and service staff are top quality and friendly.
Comprehensive food and drinks menu, including dietary options.
Will come back and go here over other places near by (If you're at Ikea, go here instead of Ikea for food!)

Today's lunch experience was an utter disappointment. Despite my anticipation, fueled by positive reviews, my visit to the restaurant resulted in a regrettable expenditure of $50. The food and service left much to be desired, falling significantly short of even the most basic expectations in Perth.
A glance at the accompanying images reveals a disheartening sight: an excessively prolonged presence of their salad and sauce, evoking questions about freshness and hygiene. Furthermore, the chips served were disconcertingly blackened and reheated, a stark deviation from acceptable culinary standards.
My attempt to address these concerns with the manager was met with a disheartening response. Rather than acknowledging their shortcomings, they inexplicably chose the path of denial, suggesting that the blame rested with me for choosing to dine there. Their tone was laced with an air of arrogance, seemingly implying that they held an unassailable reputation.
In the end, the decision rests with you: whether to squander your hard-earned money or opt for establishments that value customer satisfaction and dignity.
Regrettably, I can only express the shame for the state of affairs at this restaurant.

This is the best bistro I’ve been to so far in Perth I really liked and I highly recommend this place for good food, especially dinner with family or dinner date. They’ve got the best delicious meals. Looking forward to going back more often. Thank You for the wonderful service, we ordered food and got it ready in 10minutes only. The drink was the best, actually my favourite drink was Tropical savanna

This is a lovely venue, great atmosphere, suitable for a casual meal out or even a special event. We ordered a few drinks, a few mains and a side. The drinks were pretty quick to come out. The food took a little longer but was definitely worth the wait. The quality of the food was fantastic and the serving sizes are very generous we couldn't fit in dessert. I also like that you can have 100ml or 250ml glass of wine. Waitstaff were lovely and the floorperson was lightning fast and very attentive. Will certainly be back!

Tassels Place Bar and Bistro is located walking distance from IKEA in Osborne Park and is definitely a place to try.
Huge area which heaps of tables and chairs in a lovely dining area. Drinks are available at good prices, menu is substantial including the size of the actual meals. All our meals were well cooked to our liking and deserts to top it all off was the icing on the cake - so to speak.

Tassels opened quietly a few weeks ago and may fill the gap left when Botanica shut in Innaloo.
We were greeted by very friendly staff who gave us a run down of how things work.
This is another restaurant that you have to order and pay at the counter. I’m not a fan of this but it seems that a lot of restaurants favour this option.
There was a good selection to choose from on the standard menu and a few items on the specials menu.
We went for the pork belly bites, fettuccine marinara and pulled pork burger.
I really enjoyed the burger and the pork belly. My husband ended up with spaghetti not fettuccine (not that it matters but just saying) and the marinara sauce didn’t have any seafood flavour.
The decor is quite flamboyant in places but each to their own.
There is very limited street parking which is metered during certain times. There is a Wilson parking behind the Quest but again this is paid parking. Not sure if Tassels validate for free parking but that would be a good idea.

Tassels is great for all situations, great for celebrations, family gatherings or a just a bite to eat. We've been to Tassels multiple times, and it works!
It has great menu selections for food, cocktails, drinks and tap beer. Great service.
In a large group setting, are flexible to make arrangements ahead of time, at our gathering, all food and beverages came out at the same time, no one was waiting. Great overall.

So maybe I might possibly be a little biased as I live rather close to this establishment. But I can only speak good things here. The bar staff are awesome and great to talk to, the waitress staff are also very friendly. The meals are large for their price and I've never had a bad meal, considering I've tried most of the menu. I go here often and enjoy it.

Really nice menu with so much to choose from. The meals are really large and very tasty! I've been here a few times now and I have always had a great experience, so I'll be back for sure!

Place looks fantastic from outside & is comfortable inside.
Food menu is okay but is on the pricey side for the small portions you get.
Food quality is average and provided bottled water is room temperature, not chilled.

Nice atmosphere, modern looking.
Menu's were good large range of meal choices. And prices were very good and reasonable.
Food came out to table quickly.
Staff were friendly, polite and attentive.
There was no table service but for price of meals I can live with it.
Parking was a bit of a pain no disabled parking out front from what I saw there is paid street parking or a payed multi storey car park. Or Ikea carpark is free and a block away

My recent experience with the Chicken Parmigiana and chips at a local establishment was a complete letdown. The chicken was dry and tasteless, resembling a rubbery slab of cardboard. The supposed "parmesan crust" was barely noticeable, and the cheese on top had the consistency of melted plastic. The accompanying chips were stale, flavorless, and greasy, leaving a lukewarm and disappointing aftertaste. The overall lackluster food and indifferent service make it hard for me to recommend this place to anyone seeking a satisfying meal.

Large place with plenty of seating. Menu had lots to choose from. Service was great. Staff friendly and food came out very fast and the portions were pretty good too.

I ordered Thai salad..... I received a garden salad with what tasted like Praise Thai salad dressing. It's a good place if you're happy with quantity over quality. It was noisy and felt too vast. Hopefully it will improve with time.

Great bistro and bar, very busy and popular for a reason.
Drinks are well priced, food is tasty and good specials. We had the steak which was well presented and a generous portion. Risotto was tasty although the chorizo could have been cooked off a bit, was a bit fatty but again a generous portion.
Parking underground at Wilson is easy with free parking after 5:30pm, entry via some stairs and plenty of bays.
Offer gluten free pizza bases for $3 and have returned and had ceasar salad, macadamia chicken which was tasty!

Found this place in search of an 'after Ikea but not at Ikea' coffee. We followed the recommendation of a neighbouring business receptionist, and happy we did! Well patroned, the restaurant has a coffee and cake section. Service was sweet and considerate, absolutely beautiful coffee, and a generouse serve of delicious orange and almond cake definitely fitted our cravings.

Cannot fault this bistro restaurant. Ordering at the bar can be annoying when you are trying to enjoy an occasion and have to keep getting up. It can get very busy here and we prefer sitting in the lounge area rather than at restaurant tables. There's sports on tv in the lounge too. The decor is upmarket. The staff are friendly and very helpful and always remember us. Gluten free options including pizza, for the fussiest among us too! I love the Pork Belly, done with roast vegetables now instead of mash, great improvement. No matter what everyone else orders when mine gets out on the table you can feel other people's food envy! $30 average mains prices, with a specials menu daily too. Friday they do hot nibbles around 5 or 6 for free. Highly recommend this spot.

A group of 22 planned a birthday luncheon for two ladies born 27april. Tassels placed us comfortably together in a great environment and we enjoyed excellent service throughout the three hour visit. The food orders were delivered in a very good time and the meals were first class for the bistro.
