Wow. What a great FAMILY pub!
Located in the main street just down from the post office, this family run pub caters for families.
A large public bar, and a huge dining room that has a large menu and caters for vegetarians and gluten free customers.
Order drinks and meals at the bar.
The dining room opens at 5.30pm, which is handy for families with young kids, or tradies with early starts.
The pub also has accommodation.
Would I come back? Yep. Definitely.
Parking. On street or in the large car park at the rear.
Wheelchair and stroller access.. from the front, head down the left side of the building. From the car park, head to the right.
Entry to the bar or dining is easy. Two doors to choose from.
Using the 1800s front door requires you to negotiate a six inch step.

Great meals at a reasonable price
Top service. Friendly and helpful.

Went for last minute dinner date staff were very friendly and helpful. Really nice house red and lovely meal good time had by both of us.

Went for a casual dinner with some family, meals came out staggered, some had finished eating before other meals had even arrived. The food that did arrive was just below warm temperature, didn't taste right, and simple orders like drinks were forgotten and delayed as well.

We have eaten here several times now since moving into Numurkah. The food is some of the best country food I’ve ever had. Extensive menu and reasonably priced. The service is nothing short of impeccable.

We had a great time there, staff were busy but welcoming, superb menu catering to all tastes, prices at the top end for a pub, but not unreasonable, generous portions to make anybody happy, and above all fast service that surprised all of us. Had to wait a bit for the dessert, but by that time the place was full and busy. It appears they have accommodation too, and located right in the centre of town with walking distance to the golf club, that would be a convenient place for a transient visitor. They have outdoor seating as well in the 'beer garden', but unfortunately no experience there.

Unfortunately, after spending nearly two days here after a bereavement locally, a staff member delivered the wrong meal to our group. Unfortunately the small garlic bread entree was eaten by our group in the confusion of being a part of the big group. The duty manager, decided to withhold any drinks until someone paid for their mistake. Even after our group trying to discuss this with him. The disrespect shown to our group, after waiting an hour and a half for our meal the night prior, was highly disappointing and left us wondering if there is an any customer service left?

Overnighter here on our way back to Sydney. The only reason I chose Numurkah was the length of the drive between destinations.
Well, what a pleasant surprise. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in room #2 whichever all of our needs -comfy bed, modern, well appointed bathroom, TV, air-conditioning etc.
We booked a table for dinner and once again our expectations were exceeded. Prices were reasonable. Drinks were cold, service was prompt.
Highly recommend staying here.

Nice country pub/hotel.
The room was spacious and bathroom nice (but with unusual taps)

Needed a place to stay during a country run for work and Shepparton was all booked out. Rang up, booked a room and turned up an hour later. Rooms have clearly been updated recently as both the bed and bath are top notch.
Had dinner downstairs, porterhouse was cooked perfectly and probably one of the best mushroom sauces I have ever had!
The local pale ale (made in house) is a cracker.
Staff all very nice and up for a chat.
Will be putting this pub down as my local stay over for all trips north from Melb 👍

Back again via another work trip and I decided to order
the exact same thing as I did a year ago. Porthouse and Mushroom sauce...
It was even better 🍻

Lovely venue, food was fresh and tasty with a great variety on the menu! No one greeted us on arrival and we had to approach the young lady behind the bar to be seated, get menus, etc and she was extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming!! Thankfully the young lady who brought our food out was very friendly and incredibly polite and accommodating! Although the hotel was full of patrons the meals were served promptly!

I’ve staying at the Telegraph weekly due to work and it’s great. The bedrooms and very clean , food at the pub is yummy and their pale ale is to die for. Staff is lovely.
Couldn’t recommend them enough.

It can be a bit hit & miss when staying in pub accommodation, but this was such a lovely place to stay - it's been beautifully renovated and the rooms were wonderful. Room was clean, bed was comfy, bathroom as lush, and even staying at a pub on the weekend, you couldn't really hear everyone downstairs. Will definitely be back!

I stayed a night for a high school reunion - been many years since I'd left t Numurkah and wasn't sure what to expect - what a surprise! The hotel has been completely refurbished - rooms are very schmik, en suite was very modern and well appointed - a welcome upgrade from country pubs of old. Service was efficient and friendly. Great to see such a wonderful accommodation option right in the main street, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Numurkah.

Had dinner and stayed two nights (Fri-Sat). Highly recommended for those passing through, modern and up to date rooms above a lively small town pub. Was a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday, nothing that would stop a good night's sleep - but what else do you expect 😂

Had a bad experience here . Fish over cooked ,i had to cut it witha knife and the knife was squeaking on the plate how hard i had to cut it and calamari was rubber, dead fly in my salad . Dessert was a brownie that was hard as a rock ... appon complaining to staff all i got was a "o well sorry " not a heart felt sorry , not a offer for a refund ... definitely not a happy customer here will never go back again ..

Great pub hotel.
Very clean and quiet, recently renovated rooms.
Nice bathroom with a hot shower.
Fantastic bistro downstairs. Definitely try the buffalo wings.
Staying during a business trip and I couldn't ask for more.
Very impressed.

Great meals, I loved their own Murray River beer.

Good pub & atmosphere.
Happy with all our meals, no complaints.
The first time I've stayed here, the room was very good, clean and tidy with very good beds & pillows.
Room 1, double room Queen & 2 singles,modern bathroom between rooms.

Good old country pub. Typical all things pub like. Has there own beer on tap which is nice. Rooms are nicely done up and reasonably priced for what they are. Recommend if you’re staying in the town.

Fantastic place to stay, the food has always been amazing, the service from all the staff has been 10/10 and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I'm here for a few weeks and I would happily stay here again.

Be careful: the "vegan" burgers weren't actually vegan with dairy stuff inside. Upset a lot. Ruined my day as I couldn't recignize it straight away.
