Worst place I have ever been, the security company PSS were so rude, they pulled a water bottle out of my bag that was not even opened and took it, even know it was even opened, which line to line up was extremely unclear, me and my friends waiting over 30 min in a line just to get told we need to pay, then took and hour to get through the other line with multiple people pushing past and venue staff doing nothing about it, then inside, there are unmarked steps that are near impossible to see and one of my friend almost jared his back because of it, when we finally got to the bar to ask for a drink I have the guy my order, he had a quick chat to his colleague and then had sip of his own drink before even serving us the drink we asked for. Then noticed one of the security guards using an illegal Lazer pointer to get attention of someone in the crowd.
I will never return to this place, I don't recommend you visit.

Went to a comedy show here. Great selection of beers on tap. Service was excellent. They just really needed another bar tender working as the wait was long.

Went here for the fringe festival comedy show. The place itself is a bit run down, single bar was open for the event with two members of staff behind the bar being overworked. We were seated on plastic chairs which were uncomfortable. The show itself was quite enjoyable, seems like a strange place to host it.

We have previously had an event here for our student run club, and it was amazing. We were super appreciative with all the help we had from the new owners. They gave us everything we wanted plus more and we would highly recommend the venue for any event of any size. Milly especially was great!

We had a bridal shower/hens we held in one of the function rooms and we not only had a great time but all the staff were so helpful and accommodating!
We were able to decorate the room, the staff helped with any of our requests, the bar staff were attentive, any communication we had - they got back to us promptly.
Thank you so much for making it such a great night for all of us and making the day such an easy set up for us. The experience was amazing!

Very busy on Thursday nights. Its generally a good night. Amazing for watching sports events! Atmosphere is incredible with huge screens and surround sound. Individual TVs at booths where you can ask for any channel

The shed out the back is a pleasant space, great for big games. The main screen is huge and bright, and each booth has its own screens too. The cheeseburger had a tasty patty and was reasonable value and came out quickly. Unfortunately you have to go through to the main bar to order, and wait around the kitchen to pick food up, which isn't convenient when watching the game. It would be good to order straight from the shed bar and they deliver to you. Overall I was pleasantly surprised.

There have never been any gross/creepy/sleazy men here whenever I've been, unlike most sports bars. So while the drinks range is barely okay, it's still good to go with groups of people. There's quite a bit of seating and it doesn't get very busy.

Run down, loud and cringy bar. Had to attend this venue twice for fringe shows and have to say it’s the most disappointing venue/bar I’ve been to in years.
Seedy people everywhere, female bar staff I experienced was lacking in knowledge about the fringe shows, their stocked alcohol and general customer service.
Will never be coming back, even for Fringe.

My partner and I had our 21st birthday here and it was a lovely place to celebrate. Milly was amazing help with organising our party, so grateful for her. I would recommend this venue.

My amazing workplace you took me in and now im attached Im soo grateful for the opportunity. I look forward to my weekends I enjoy it soo much that I dont even call it work, best place to work at the fam bam are soo amazing everyone really looks out for each other. Lovely vibe and has multiple levels and different sections for if you like to dance all night to just enjoy a drink and chat is an overall amazingly well organized and out together place! The staff are always super lovely and have enjoyed my nights out there ! Highly recommend visiting here 😊

I wish I still had the photos of that night... It was an incredible night. The music was on point! Matched my taste(afro beats, dancehall etc) impeccably. The atmosphere amd venue was pretty great as well. Would definitely go again!

I was there on Thursday night and the security was bringing someone drunk out in the same moment that was going in so the guy wanted some friction and put his face close to mine and I pushed him back. The security guy told me that I should call security for something like that hahaha The security was the one that brought him close to my face
Maybe I should wait for the guy to punch me or push me before I call the security, which was there. Good luck with your new name

I was initially semi impressed with the renovations at the Aberdeen Hotel Game Sports Bar. Their food is not as good as it was when the kitchen first opened. However what is the purpose of promoting a Game Sports Bar when management choose to hire the venue out for private function denying patrons taking the time to support the premises, access to the large screen. To expect parents with their children to sit in a public bar to watch on small screens after the venue has been promoted as offering important games on large screens, is totally unacceptable. Clearly the venue is not concerned about it's reputation, as this is a regular occurrance. This is why I now rate the venue as one star!!!

Incredibly rude, obstructive, frankly I'll-mannered security personnel. Ruined what was a pleasant bar experience, watching football with friends. The Security team clearly feel that their letter of the law is the only law that should apply, even when it defies common sense and logic. They escalated a situation that was completely unecessary.
I will not be returning there. Nor will be I advising anyone I know to go there now.

I go to the Game almost every Thursday night all year around . This place does not disappoint. I love the music and chill atmosphere . I have more fun at the Game on Thursday night different types of people of all ages from different backgrounds so much fun

I don't know why if you go to this place you end up smelling like smoke.... serious smoke. Not really my favourite spot but can be good. Has a lot more patrons on a Thurs night. Sat night is pretty dead here.

I booked a table for my best friends hens party, and the lovely staff helped us feel welcome, looked after and special! Everyone was super kind and friendly, and I'm so glad I booked here! :D

I attended a work function here on Tuesday night. The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was delicious and the drinks I ordered from the bar were top notch. The staff who were on that night were really friendly and provided great customer service.

Horrible place. Typical drunk hangout sports bar where the security thinks they are the police, seen them abusing the patrons, actually hitting some guys rather than neutralizing the situation and ensuring a calm relaxed environment. The bathroom facilities are also horrendous and I know its the people that cause this but some sort of control or cleanup should be in place. Its law to have a restroom but doesnt matter if its not accessible due toe health hazards? i mean come on. Did not enjoy this place one bit and if the south african festival is there again I would rather not go.

An amazing and welcoming event venue. The staff were very friendly, especially Milly, who was the main person we coordinated with when planning our event. She was very communicative, responsive and flexible. Definitely recommend hosting your event at The Aberdeen Hotel!

A large venue with so many screens, but only two channels shown at a time? Went there to try to watch the football (soccer) but was told they were only showing motor racing and AFL. Even copped some attitude: "you're Australian, why do you want to watch the soccer?"
I know you pay for the number of channels you want to show at once, but a sports bar needs to show some variety - otherwise I could head to pretty much any pub to watch the 'major' event of the day.

After living and working with many bouncers the guys I had when I went were awful. They wouldnt let me go back inside after there was a accident outside and I want to see if everything was ok. Was not allowed to pick up my jacket because it was kick out time. I explained I would be 30 seconds to grab my jacket and asked politely and was sober but no avail. These guys give bouncers a bad name. Pure power hungry.
