We called in to have 1 drink in the afternoon but stayed for extra drinks and snacks because the atmosphere was so inviting. The service was so friendly from Jess serving food to Alyssa serving drinks. I can’t comment on the main courses but the snacks were delicious and well presented. We will definitely be back when we visit the area again.

This afternoon Michelle and I visited the Arms Hotel for lunch.
The Arms Hotel is located at.
351 High St Penrith.
When Michelle and I arrived at the venue, we were greeted by Amber who really provided us with a unique experience.
This venue today provided us with table service which I have not experienced in a pub before.
Amber was more then happy to answer any questions about items on the menu. I was impressed that she checked all the items for sesame so allergy and dietary requirements are taken seriously at this venue.
After browsing the menu, Michelle and I decided to share a starter.
We chose salt & pepper prawns. They were accompanied by a bowl of sriracha sauce. The prawns were crisp and spicy, and the sauce gave them extra zing.
I was keen to try the southern style chicken wrap which consisted of
lettuce, tomato, Spanish onion and Sriracha Mayo.
This Southern style chicken wrap is a delightful treat for anyone craving a bit of spice paired with classic comfort. The chicken was tender and juicy, providing a perfect base for the wrap. The lettuce and tomato add a fresh, crisp texture which contrasts nicely with the soft flour tortilla. The Spanish onions bring a slight sweetness and a bit of crunch, enhancing the overall flavour profile of the wrap.
Michelle settled on the lamb shanks on a bed of mashed potato.
Michelle said that they were delicious and full of flavour and the lamb fell off the bone when cut. The potato was creamy, had plenty of flavour and the gravy that accompanied the lamb shank was delicious.
To finish off our impressive lunch, I decided to try a small flat white coffee.
I was not disappointed and the coffee was fresh, creamy, and not too sweet.
In conclusion, we were impressed with the friendly and amazing service we received. This venue receives a ten out of ten. Amber really looked after us and we would like to thank Amber and her team for a very welcoming experience today.

The VIP Lounge is not up to standard. The service is absolute garbage, you have to literally yell out to staff to get a drink, and getting a coffee is limited to one a day for gaming customers. Do not go here if you are looking to play and have a good time, not worth the time and money. The guys during the night are fine, the females during the day need a career change.

The great bistro is gone. No middies. Wine is on tap. Beer lines not clean. No beer garden so you have to sit in the front bar dominated by a loud group of locals who seem to dislike non locals. A complete change from my last review here, when I was very impressed. New owners?

Now charging over $8 for a schooner of beer when your offering $2 service and amenities.. your a basic little pub in Penrith, I would say good luck in the future but this place won't have one for very long..

Look let's be honest, this is not cafe level Ritz - but do you even want it to be?
I like it because it's generally not rough, the food is very reasonably priced and it has a genuine feeling of originality and not manufactured.
The food isn't flashy, but that's probably best considering it's a pub. Also, the food isn't exactly consistent. Sometimes it's not quote as good as the time before - but having said that, it's still perfectly adequate.
Not a bad joint to while away the night.

I want to express just how much I am thoroughly impressed by this place. My partner and I recently went in for a spur of the moment lunch last weekend. From the moment we walked in, we found the place to be very charming. The booths were well positioned and had a nice cross breeze from the front entrance. The lighting was wonderful, and we were greeted immediately by our waitress Tia. We were thoroughly impressed with her service alone. She was well presented, very polite and lovely to speak to. She made sure we had the perfect amount of time to order, and the food came relatively quickly.
The food is another thing on its own. The chefs were absolutely amazing at their craft! We especially loved the mash potato, I could just have a massive serving of it alone. It was absolutely the best mash I've ever had. The servings were generous for the cost, and the drinks were brought straight to our table instead of going to the bar ourselves. The place was very clean and the staff seemed to enjoy their work. I can wholeheartedly say that I will definitely be back very soon. Absolutely one of the top places I've enjoyed eating at in Penrith, even Sydney in general! Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Especially thanks to Tia for making us feel so welcome. We appreciate it so much!

I’ve walked past this place so many times and never thought to check out the bistro until tonight!
The service from the two waiters was excellent.
The meals we had which was lamb shanks, 450g steak and kids fish cocktails was delicious. This place is definitely a hidden gem and I’m definitely coming back! Thanks guys

I just got stung $8.80 for a schooner of Carlton Dry!!!
And was told I couldn’t renew my membership card to receive the members discount.
This will absolutely be the last time I come back to this dive.
RIP Aussie Arms Hotel.

If you want to go and sit down and have a drink it’s ok but if your going there to play the pokies and try win some money goodluck 😂 there machines never pay out I put like 2k in and never even got a feature there machine system is disgusting

Great Friendly Service by Amell. Got our order correct and cooked to our liking. High Quality Food for a pub feed. More restaurant Quality really. Will be returning. Shame they don't do breakfast on weekends though.

Great food and service, my husband says the beers are the best. This is a hidden gem. I've been several times over the last 2 months. It is going to be our regular once a month. They have monthly specials as well as daily specials.

Good spot for a pub feed. Prices aren't unreasonable, the food is tasty and staff are friendly and welcoming. This was my second time here and would come back again for lunch or dinner !
The Garden burger is vegan friendly and is lovely! Also love the chips here, simple but comforting.

Good pub food. Very busy, but I was there on the night of the monthly prize draw. Very good local feel. Struck up a conversation with several people. Meat tray raffles all night. Outdoor eating area out the back. Lots of seating, although inside every seat was taken. A good night out. I'll definitely go back there.

First time having a meal here and was very happy with the environment and the food. The publican is very friendly and came and introduced herself and talked about the hotel and future plans. Will definitely return and take friends and family.
We had garlic bread starter, buffalo wings, Smokey bbq wings, pot pie (amazing flavour) and grilled barramundi and we were very happy with our meals.

Excellent upgrade on this iconic place. Had valentines day dinner here. Best decision after disappointing start at Okami my first choice. So much more quiet and romantic. . Dinner special for 2 bargain 🤩.....just A little more grilling of the steak..... Great service.. will be back

A beautiful ambience in the heart of Penrith. I was thoroughly impressed with the menu at the Birdcage. Very classy. Will be coming back for sure
