The Boat Shed Bar Reviews
With 16s undergoing yet another renovation, it was time to try something different and go with The Boat Shed. It offers a few seating options - high stools with tables, couch and coffee tables and mostly regular tables. You can get a small view of the water on one side. Menu is available online and offers some diner-style options like chicken wings, nachos, southwest burger etc. The food suits the bar environment well and is reasonably priced. If you're interested in sports and happen to have bad eyesight, this place is for you. The main TV is absolutely enormous to say the least! A good place to catch up with friends, family or just hang out and have a drink while watching some sport or having a chat. Wheelchair-friendly and with adjoining amenities and proximity to other meal options and cafe if you're perhaps looking for a dessert option (i like the thickshakes at the cafe). Enough seating availability even at busy times (in my experience). Have added it to my list of local joints - will upload some photos next visit.

Why put it car park side? Good range of beers.
With some good numbers of TVs, they
could show a few more sports. Often a word range of replays when there's live Aussie sport on.
Food OK.

Went for Xmas lunch - food and service was exceptional with great atmosphere and fantastic views.

We had a large group including children. Food was awesome from both the carvery and the burgers from boat shed. Beer selection was nice. The staff were friendly. Lost a star for the view and glare. They were doing renovations.

This is part of the 16 footers yacht club, the food is nice, the service was very good. The only thing I found off putting was the prices, unfortunately this is what happens when you have a captive audience. But the views are incredible.

The Boat Shed is a consistently good stop. They mix up their beers with a choice of one or two darks and this is always welcome. The menu doesn’t change much but the burgers are always decent and value for money. Since it is in 16s you can always choose from Sails or Salts to get an extension on menu. All in it’s a decent meal and value for money.

Service was terrible. Bar staff stood around chatting whilst tables we full of glasses and empty plates. Stood waiting to be served at the bar for ages before we were served. Almost gave up and left. Won't be back

Ordered the Southern bro burger over cooked and returned for a refund. Chicken wings Dark and stormy very tasty. Friendly service, had some cocktails perfectly made 🥰 two stars as we had to return 3 of our meals for being over cooked.

Omg these burgers are brilliant. And the chips are the best you'll taste in the country ...out of this world! Nice beers on tap and quality wine. Decor is very nice. Become a 16s member and get 10% off food and drinks cause you are sure to return ...can't go wrong 👍 (my burger is a bit squashed because I'd picked it up to eat before I took the pic!)

Nice bar located within the 16's club. Had trivia night when I was there. Had a family friendly vibe to the place. Good selection of beers on tap to choose from. Very good service

I went there for lunch. I was actually directed there by a beautiful caring lady at reception who understood special needs, and it is people like that when a job is not just a job that will ll make people return the Boat Shed was not officially open so we enjoyed the peace and quiet and were the only ones there.
Thank you to the beautiful lady with the kindest heart for your understanding and for making my experience at the 16 footers very memorable

It's a very nice place with a great selection of craft beers but for a club of its size and the amount of poker machines it has it beer is very expensive and the boats he'd var is way to dark they need to knock out a wall facing the lake/carpark

It has quite a few beers on tap. But why is it not facing the water . . . It could triple its revenue by facing the water. Burger was average, nothing special pay extra for chips. It's not quite a sports bar not quite a cocktail bar.

Interesting local beer choices on tap that change regularly. Great gourmet burgers as well.

I have been to the boatshed a few times but more recently the food has become disappointing. I got a burger today as did other people on my table and the burgers were really dry (meat). The chips were also somewhat stale (as if the oil they'd been cooked in was old). I didn't complain at the time as we all had the same experience and just presumed that that was the quality of the food served. I'm not sure why the drop in quality has occurred as I used to really love this place.

Great food. Loved the local craft brewed beers. Watched the grand final on the huge screen.

Great bar. The fit out is great and it has a quality atmosphere. Staff were friendly and also provided quick service. There is a fantastic selection of beers and was told by staff they regularly change up the craft beers so that is another plus. I also really enjoyed my Mexican inspired burger and the wings were pretty good too.

Good range of beers. No standard stuff that I could see. Just craft. Lots of local and domestic.
The food was outstanding too for burgers and light meals.

Good quality burgers, nothing special but they do the simple things right. The chicken wings themselves were juicy and well cooked but the sauces left a little to be desired. Specifically the chilli wings which werw way too sour. Service was stellar. Overall not a bad pub choice.

Definitely not the best burgers we've had & the loaded fries didn't hit as well as it sounded on the menu. Good atmosphere for a few bevvies though.

5 stars for the extensive beer options. The food is generally burger style fare, but it's quite ok. Big screens with sport showing. A great location to catch up with friends over a drink or two.
