What is not to like, great meals, bars and accomodation. Good people doing a great job. We regularly camp our drivers there overnight. Safe on street parking and good vibes.

Went there for a Saturday evening work get-together. Chicken schnitzel, chips, and salad. Came out within a fairly reasonable time frame. However, the schnitzel was cold and the salad consisted of a massive dose of lettuce, one cherry tomato, a tiny helping of coleslaw, and no dressing. Would not recommend.

We love coming here good always great & the meet and greet is great, but not today no one to greet or seat you then we order I got a chicken ceasar,
Well they forgot the chicken no word of a lie it had 4 pieces of chicken in it, so we asked for some chicken to make it what it should of been, 15mins later we get a sm bowl of chicken that looked like it had been thrown through a mincer it was disgusting

Well, the Carriers Arms is a nice place, but I don't drink alcohol, so I can only assume their bottle shop is a nice place too...

We have eaten here previously...over 12 months ago and were looking forward to returning. What a huge disappointment. While the staff were very pleasant the meal would have to be the worst pub lunch we have ever had. My husband ordered a T bone steak cooked medium rare with a creamy garlic sauce. As soon as the plate was out on the table it was a rurn off. Anaemic looking with just a hint of grill mark. Tough to cut into and I think his assessment was close to accurate....grabbed out of the freezer, thrown onto a warm grill and left to stew/steam till just thawed! The tomato hidden in the salad was as tough as the steak! Because he doesn't like to fuss he refused to send it back but battled through an awful meal. I ordered chicken kiev. How can this go wrong? Well it did...the crumb was close to burnt and the garlic butter in the centre was still solid and the chicken itself was very dry! I couldn't eat it all. So disappointing and guess we won't be hurrying back any time soon.

The staff and hotel ambience are of high standard, unfortunately the food didn't live up to expectations. I ordered ribs and wedges, wedges I were cool/ cold , they were replaced without question. The ribs were almost inedible, very dry and a piece of meat didn't look like it belonged to the ribs at all . It might have been ok yesterday when it was first cooked . Very disappointing. .

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. Meal was small but ok. I still prefer the lamo down nere the Mary River bridge.

Stayed 2 nights here. The reception girls were great. Supplied extra milk, biscuits + gave information out freely.
Beds comfortable.
Showers great.
Bistro meals could have been hotter.
One tiny complaint:
Workman staying overnight, but talking , with beers in hand, loudly + for 2 hrs across the way.
Person I shared the room with had , had a procedure in the hospital + was hoping for a peaceful rest.

Staff should make people stay in their cars in the drive thru. That's the whole point of it. The rest of us have to sit and wait for those inconsiderate buggers inside picking what they want. It's bloody annoying. When the drive thru is used properly the traffic flows as the staff are very good.

Refurbished April 2019. Bistro, gaming room, kids room, dining hall, motel attached. Friendly staff, delicious steak burger.

Really good food! Huge servings but happy to give you a take home doggy bag. Staff were lovely.

Ordered a plate of vegetables, as the no meat options were pretty much non existent. Got served some nice looking vegetables with half a plate of bacon laced potato bake. Hmm..the veggies looked good, but we're disappointingly pretty much cold and wet. My dinner partner has the seafood basket. Great if you love lots of batter.

Lovely place to Dine,booking required as its very busy at times.Our food we ordered was Roast of the day which is always delicious and huge plate full,played Keno while we waited.Very enjoyable thanks to the great atmosphere.Definately recommend the food on this menu.

How could I get through my week without a visit to the Carrier's Arms Bottle-O? The guys are always in a good mood and ready to share a funny line.
They will take it to my car, show be where to find the best Catteau Cardboard or whatever bottle takes my fancy.
Considering how hard customer service staff must work to keep the punters happy, this is a credit to their professionalism.

Great place for a meal.cafe not so good I am a group of 4 we go for afternoon tea regularly the young staff have not been trained properly they don't know how to make a malted milk shake . LONG STORY.

Going to Carriers regularly now after my first trip in several years was with friends visiting from Brisbane and the moment we walked in and gave our names to the friendly guy with the clipboard, it was “Hello and welcome, right this way” at the door and shown to a table near the kids room because “I was told you had kids with you so we booked you a table there”. Very thoughtful. He also took note of the table number we were given when we ordered and showed the waitress (we stupidly had the number turned sideways so she didn’t see it). All food awesome and timely, then 2 staff wished us all a pleasant goodnight. Came back a week later with hubby for lunch and perfect again so taking my Mum who is visiting from out of town for dinner tonight for her last night here. Highly recommend for food and experience - serving sizes are very generous too.

A group of friends gathered here for a birthday party. Meals were 50/50 some good some bad. My parmigiana was dry and over cooked, the salmon way over cooked and very dry the vegetables must of been yesterday's. Two meals never came with there gravy as ordered.
Will not be going back as they were not interested in feedback when we offered it.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Great food (roast of the day done to perfection) and friendly staff. Tip: Get your partner a "fruit tingle" - not too much red cordial, she'll love it!
