Wow what an experience. An amazing vibe bustling with people. Then out the door to the smoking section and it’s like you’ve stepped through Narnia’s wardrobe…Chinatown in all its glory! Street food stalls and neon lights. Miss Mahjongs out back is absolutely 🔥🔥🔥

Waited 30 minutes for food only to be told the machine was broken and the printer didn’t print our order. When the food came, it was RAW. NO apologies. Do NOT come here.

The teapot cocktail is incredibly cool, though it's a bit pricey. It costs 55 dollars for 5-6 tea cups. I also tried the Easter Egg Shot, and it was quite good as well.

There’s a hidden restaurant in this pub and it’s a gem. Walk right in and discover something new. Their Indomie goreng noodle fries were winner and they also have spicy Korean version as well. This is worth a try! It’s creative and it’s delicious. Their chicken smoky BBQ wings were saucy and tasty as well. They make very unique yet interesting pub food. Definitely better than steak and chips or wedges The atmosphere was gently vibrant and it felt like half pub and half restaurant. Which was a great combination. Interior clean and food brought out fast. For these reasons I give this place 4 bears

The recently refurbished Burwood Hotel is smack bang in the middle of the Burwood Chinatown food precinct. This hotel offers quality pub grub at a good price. The menu is a little more exciting than your standard pub fare. With an American inspired menu, including some pimped out burgers. They have a 1kg pot of mussels as an ongoing special, ranging between $10-$15 dollars, with a choice of sauce and differing spice levels; lemon and pepper, cajun and if you like it hot, the spicy Korean Chilli. We opted for the medium spice level, which was a tasty cajun sauce. Speaking of Cajun, the fried Jalepeno poppers were a great starter and an even better share plate. They were huge and used fresh Jalepenos that weren't too spicy. But you must try the burgers. The dry aged t-bone burger is not only a cool looking burger with a T-bone as a crown, it was also super tasty. The use of the t-bone making this a fancy cheese burger with a nicely spiced, freshly ground meat patty, American cheese, ketchup, mustard, onion and fried onion for some crunchy texture. Due to the quality cut of meat used it's a little pricey at $19, but well worth it as it is a delicious burger. They were also advertising a Wagyu beef burger for $16, which seems like pretty good value. The Burwood Hotel has a nice comfortable modern dining space with friendly staff. They have also added a bit of excitement with some great American menu options, whilst still catering to those who love those pub classics. It is well worth a visit for a drink and a feed with friends.

The menu for this hotel restaurant has evolved a lot over the past few years. It is now a lot more modern and caters to a wide range of tastes reflective of the resident population in Burwood. This is my second time here and I think this food has improved a lot since our first try, especially on the increased vegetarian options. The KFC cauliflower is a highlight, but I wouldn't recommend the noodles fries unless you can really handle hot and spicy tastes. The atmosphere is good, but staff calls can sometimes take a bit of time even without a lot of customers around.

The food were great! Like the sauce in lamb rump. The steak was also well cooked. But the chips and mushroom sauce were too salty :( The pork belly bun is tasty. Even though it is labeled as spicy, it's actually not

The cauliflower KFC had an overwhelming amount of sauce, making the dish excessively sweet and masking the natural flavors of the cauliflower. The guy wearing glasses seemed rushed and eager to take our table number, even though not all of our orders had been served. And there was few options for vegetarian.

The Burwood Hotel is the answer to Australian pub for the millennial Asian community. It’s a pub (VIP lounge, pokies, smoking lounge etc) but with really interesting twist to their F&B offerings. I actually came here all the way just to try the Boba Tea Cocktail, Nuclear Fire Noodle Fries & the newest dessert: Dalgona Bobamisu. Prices are decent, considering the portion of food are not as big as average places. Would come here for weekday snack deals, $20 for 3 snack (save up to $10).

The Burwood Hotel happened to be our next point of interest with mates. A great local pub with a good surrounding nightlife. The venue is conveniently located near the Train Station. The Eating House left us with a great experience while being our first visit. They didn't just serve standard Pub Style food, but also accommodated with some Asian Cuisine and it was executed well on both fronts. Atmosphere is what you'd expect for a pub. Venue is easy going until 7pm, then it gets busy. (Would need to book if dining late on a Weekend.) The Service was excellent. Ordering was done through a QR code which was easy to navigate. *UPDATE* You will need to order both Food & Drinks at the bar now, this has been updated since my recent visit. Food was served very quickly and cooked well. Staff were always polite throughout the night. Pricing is Mid range for food, but High range for drinks. Something new that we came across was their Boba Cocktails. I only tried a few at the time (Long Island Boba Tea & Raspberry Long Island Boba Tea) which were both a great new experience. 9/10 I began the night with some Cheeseburger Spring Rolls which were great, not a single step wrong. They were juicy and packed with flavour on the inside and crispy on the outside. Importantly they tasted exactly like a Cheeseburger. (Sauces are recommended) 10/10 I had a Rump Steak with Fries, Salad and Mushroom Sauce as my main. I personally have my Rump Steak Rare and it was done perfectly. Steak was seasoned well and the texture was surprisingly soft with a great crust. Fries were crispy and salted well. The Salad balanced the dish overall, but I did find the dressing overpowering for a Salad. The Mushroom Sauce was good and complemented the steak. Overall the dish was excellent. 9/10 I also had to try the Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Don, I added Katsu Chicken and another Poached Egg as well. The dish was amazing and most of their bowls were great. The Chicken was juicy and cooked well with the Teriyaki Sauce. Katsu Chicken was Crispy and still moist. Edamame Beans, and Rice and Seaweed was standard. Poached Eggs were cooked perfectly. 9/10 The Burwood Hotel was easily one of our great experiences and has become a new regular that we will visit more often, especially for more Boba Cocktails. Atmosphere: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Food: 9.4/10 Drinks: 10/10 Price: $$ - $$$

The ambience is really nice and the service is great .The place is usually full starting at 6 in the evening so you may wanna reach there little earlier than that time to get your self a seat. In all you should have a very pleasant experience.

Quite busy place, I came today to try boba cocktails. They were average only. The boba was not chewy and soft enough. I tried espresso boba milk tea and the taste was quite bitter. The Maldives boba tea was okay and look nice with blue curracao.

Love this venue especially their super cold beers and awesome yummy food. Drinks and food are reasonably price and of course the atmosphere is also pretty lively. Good place to hang out with friends. I hope they can bring in Guinness on tap someday soon. Hope they can also bring some nasi goreng that goes really well with my Tiger Beer 😁

It was very hot and humid day, we couldn't walk around much more so wanted to find some place nice and cool. Decided to hop into burwood hotel for light snack and some refreshments. Wasn't too busy, we had a rice bowl which was pretty average but really enjoyed their ramen fries couldn't stop eating it. Walked around abit and realised Burwood Hotel had such a nice outdoor seating areas. Will be back to try their alcoholic bubble tea.

I ordered Jack Daniels with coke, ice on seperate glass, this photo is after, the glass was full. I don’t taste any alcohol. I think everything should have basic knowledge of how drink is served.

Interesting meals on offer at, ranging from your staple burgers and steaks to an Asian inspired menu with ramen. The “popcorn chicken” bowl was really delicious and very worth the price. So much chicken! Would recommend it if you like karaage chicken or fried chicken in general. The lamb chops were very tender and well-cooked too. Seating could be better (and cleaner). Seeing as it is The Burwood Hotel, it is as expected for the dining.

I came here for a Friday lunch. It was moderately packed but not full to capacity. Mostly local business workers here for a drink and lunch on a Friday before the weekend. Management haven't tracked the need for more staff at peak times. All areas needed, no, screamed for more staff. 2 bar staff taking all drinks and food orders, 2 wait staff and 2 kitchen staff was all there were available and they were slammed during peak lunch for at least 25+ ppl. The food were ok, it looks good and tastes ok. Nothing that makes you go wow. Portion size are ok if it is not the advertised specials. Those are smaller than expected. The Shoyu Pork belly ramen is what my wife ordered. It is ok, bit small and not much. The noodles are not ramen noodles, they are rice vermicelli instead. I ordered the southern chicken don and upsized it. Didn't really like the salted egg yolk sauce. Chicken was good, better without the sauce. The Rice don needed something pickled to help with the heaviness of the sauce and provide extra freshness (along with the spring onion, chilli and seaweed).

"I am delighted to share my experience of dining at this establishment. The cuisine offered here not only delights the palate but also pleasantly surprises with its affordability. Moreover, the strategic location adjacent to the train station adds to the convenience of dining here. In sum, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment for its delectable fare and prime accessibility."

I always eat here cuz the location is easy right across the train station and they have good food and pokies upstairs with free drinks and snacks. They got rid of the salmon don't know why but it's a pity cuz I used to order salmon all the time. Free water and toilets for the general public to use. Would recommend it.

Came here for lunch with the boys. The food were alright for pub food. However, I really like how fast their food comes out despite how busy it was during lunch time. Great place to come and grab a drink with a friend though.

Came for a quick lunch and ordered through the QR code, after waiting for 30min I get up and ask the waiter about my food, only for her to tell me the iPad wasn’t charged and they hadn’t received my order, not one sorry. After more waiting the food comes and the chicken has no flavour and a small portions of chips. The waiter again didn’t even bother to check and see if everything was going okay. They should hire people who actually want to work and care about the costumers, waist of time and money
