We recently had dinner with you. I had the Angus beef burger which was so oily I couldn't eat it and it was falling apart. The Pattie had a strange taste and my meal was only just warm. The wait service was good, the place however needs a good clean. My seat was very wobbly.

We had dinner here the service was very good. Atmosphere was great. The servings were huge maybe too big. And prices OK.

We had dinner at this nostalgic establishment on Grand Final night. They were so busy and, as everywhere, a little short staffed but they made us feel very welcome. As happens at times our order got lost in the kitchen so we were pretty hungry by the time the food arrived….but it was worth waiting for and the lovely hostess generously made up ten fold by providing wine and beer on the house. Thank you. Your hospitality was fabulous.

We had a couple of drinks here and decided to have dinner as nothing in town was really appealing. Next trip we will drive straight through food average service average and the prices are ridiculous for a pub meal. My partner took her snitty back to our accomodation for the cat!!! Toilets filthy and just a dirty grubby feeling never again.

Walked past for a cold pint. Appears to be a watering hole for locals - lots of tradies and the bar in high vis. Didn’t eat but the atmosphere was good and the staff friendly. Beers cold - what else do you need? Thumbs up.

Walked in for dinner with no reservation, staff advised they had a number of walk-ins and that dinner would require a wait. We were not in a hurry, so happy to wait. The food was worth the wait! Good, honest pub food! Great menu choices, specials board choices also made for a tough decision on what to have! We settled on Fish and Chips for me - beautifully cooked Barramundi with a thin and crispy batter! ... and a 300g Scotch Fillet cooked rare ... with Garlic Butter for hubby! Local beef that was juicy and tasty! Would not hesitate in recommending The Stump! Staff were fabulous too!

This is the only pub open in town currently as the other three are struggling to get staff. They were very friendly and considering they were understaffed they were very attentive. We stayed for dinner the menu had a good veriety and simple at the same time. The food was well presented and really fresh tasting. Over all a great experience l would definitely go back.

The pub itself is iconic. A classic pub vibe and the staff were friendly and attentive. Food was ok, but nothing memorable.

Read reviews on TA and decided to give this place a go. Nice clean, welcoming pub with a nice wine selection and food menu (pub bistro fare, though we didn’t eat). Had a nice rosée sitting in front of the hotel, but there’s also a nice garden area out back. Great setting, fairly quiet from street noise and nice place for families and couples. Staff was friendly, engaging and helpful. Highly recommended.

Oldest licensed Pub in Victoria, the Public Bar is wonderful, friendly staff a real piece of Australian culture. Very good food for a Pub, if a little pricey but quality and well cooked I had a paella but wished I had got a steak after seeing others served! The beer was cold as well can’t go past Carlton Draft on tap.

Older pub with a not bad feel inside.. meal was definitely good and seemed popular with how many people went there to eat.. room was comfortable although was easy to hear noise from other rooms and traffic from road . Car park area definitely restrictive if all rooms full.

Hey Where the food in this place was really good, the noise was atrocious and I have to say if you’re over 50 don’t bother coming here and if you do switch your hearing aids off because it’s so noisy.

Good value basic accommodation at a cheap price.|PLUS POINTS: Clean and comfortable bed. Good location. Hot shower. |Had a very tasty meal in the pub (Pork Curry & Nasi Goreng).|MINUS POINTS: The towels were old and grey, one of them didn’t seem very clean. There was no hairdryer. The wooden frame holding the wall lights and radio seemed very dusty.

First, Can’t find the reception to checkin. No sign or whatever. Parking is full as there was a lot of customers in the “Bar”. Again, no sign too where to park for hotel customers. Hard to find where the hotel is. All you see is the bar & resto. Next, Room was not ready even though Agoda says checkin is 12PM and we arrive past 1. I showed the email confirmation & I only got a response to wait get back at 2pm. Says they don’t have a control over Agoda, do you think I do? It’s your business so YOU COMMUNICATE THAT TO AGODA if it is incorrect. Anyway, the cleaning ladies are kind enough to understand and they cleaned as fast as they can. Room is small with 2 beds and T&B. With Small table & chair, and hot water kettle. No microwave or toaster. Good for 3pax. Not for a big family. If you need a night just to sleep, this will do.

Fantastic location, but very basic. No iron, no hair dryer, shabby paint work. Carpet can't be too clean as walking around in my socks clearly reflected this. Otherwise, reasonably clean and very convenient location.

Delicious dinner. Had the Mexican Palmie. It was very quiet on a Saturday night, but it was the middle of winter. Friendly helpful staff. Reasonably priced. Obviously, it's a spot for the locals.

Charming Pub Experience at Caledonian Inn Although I didn't stay in the rooms, my visit to the Caledonian Inn for a cold gin and tonic left a lasting impression. The restaurant or pub area offered a fantastic range of food options, and the seating arrangements were perfect for both groups and singles. I found the atmosphere to be inviting and welcoming. What impressed me the most was the friendly service and the availability of outdoor seating. It's evident that the Caledonian Inn is a favorite among locals, as I noticed many regulars and tradies enjoying their time there. Whether you're looking for a quick drink or a satisfying meal, I highly recommend stopping by the Caledonian Inn. I'll certainly be back next time I'm in the area!

Basic, clean, convenient, comfortable. 1-star energy rating on TINY bar fridge so not very environmentally aware. TV had vertical line through screen which cleared up after 10 mins or so. No microwave or hairdryer. Cold bathroom with open window we could not close. Friendly staff. Atmospheric pub with good meals. All in all a bit below average in our experience.

Awful food and over priced accomodation We ordered the chicken schnitzel It was oily and rubbery. Couldn’t eat it. It didn’t have the texture of chicken at all.Generous portions if you could stomach eating it. Worst meal we had on our road trip.

As a group of 6, we ate here two nights in a row and were impressed with all the different main meals which we had to choose from. The specials were flying off the board at 6pm, and whilst disappointed we missed the ribs special on the first night, they made arrangements to have a serve ready for us the next night. Wait staff, particularly Andrea, were excellent and having a good laugh with us all making us feel very welcomed.

Absolutely fabulous evening in the restaurant! The meal was way above expectations, the service from Blaine was excellent too! Cannot recommend the Sri Lankan infused dishes enough- they were so delicious! Would revisit in a heartbeat!!
