Yeah nah....made the list. Will be a long while before a return is made.
Chicken schnitzel with pepper sauce. Was something funky with the sauce so that stayed to the side. Oil in the deep fryer overdue for change. Few scrappy scraggly chips unseasoned. Thank God for the vinaigrette dressing on the salad which gave the dish some flavour.

We were pleasantly surprised when we first had a meal here. We thought it would be a bit on the rough side, but it wasn't at all. Mostly retires having a decent meal at a good price. We had steak on a Friday night special and it was delicious. We will be back for sure.

Went here for the first time today.
Ordered a schnitzel parmigiana which was one of the best schnitzels I’ve had in quite a while.
The only issue i had here was that the people who smoke outside makes the smell come into the dining area and makes it a little unpleasant.

We eat out here several times per month and always have a good experience. Wonderful schnitzels, quick and friendly service, and lots of parking adjacent. What's not to like!

Very disappointed with food and service,far too slow. Waited for over an hr for dessert,still hadn't arrived,so asked and received a refund. Usually excellent in all ways, looked like wait staff/chefs
couldn't cope on this extra busy day!

The food is pretty poor. We had some pastas which were quite mushy and just a lot of cream.
The poker machine attendants seem really disinterested and some of them are just plain rude to the customers, as if we are interrupting the staff gossip session.

The Castle Tavern has had a bit of a makeover and their food has improved too! Great pub classics and very generous portions and good value for the family.

Ordered main fried calamari & it was tasteless & soggy, so disappointing. Mentioned it to the waitress but she didn't seem to care. An absolute WASTE OF MONEY. 😔

Never again. Went late jan, roast lamb had no pototoes, mixed grill they forgot egg etc, pretty slack from kitchens behalf. Went again last night 4 of us ordered the steak special tbone for $36 med rare , was so rare and grissley that i could not cut with steak knife, had to use my big one at home to cut up for my dog. Used to be great meals there, obviously kitchen staff changed, so many other better places around to eat we will not need to go back.
The other meals ( 9 of us in total) were average. It was schnitzel night, maybe the chef knew only how to cook them. Not good enough anymore guys for the prices charged.

Jules in the front bar is the best. Friendly, inviting and always knows what we are having. Everyone is pleasant. Clean and fairly priced. 👌

I've enjoyed a meal here a few times now at this local pub attached to a shopping centre. Always delicious with great service staff. Tonight's special - chicken cordon bleu with vegetables was exceptional. As always, well done to everyone in the kitchen and serving ... great job!

It was a nice meal salt and pepper squid , chips, salad, bread roll and butter free with meal and sticky date pudding was quite nice. Reasonably priced if you choose a seniors menu option. Nice staff, the chef brought the dessert to the table. My client enjoyed her senior meal and its quieter than usual taverns when dining.

Haven't eaten here for a few months, but it was convenient today, so we thought, why not!
We were quite disappointed! We ordered seniors meals, but the portions were so small, we both left still hungry.
What we had was good, but prices have increased, understandably, and the portions have definitely shrunk, even the bread roll was tiny. Much better value can be had elsewhere.

Had dinner here tonight and ordered roast of the day which is usually reasonably good standard pub food anywhere. Tonight it was chicken which was not cooked properly and when we advised the waitress she showed the chef who disagreed. Virtually inedible meat and very poor customer service response. Previous time I attended the steak was very undercooked also but they did put it back on the grill. Meal sizes shrinking and prices increasing same as everywhere. Very disappointing meal and will rethink any future return and will look elsewhere. Waste of money.

Great food and great service, the only thing i didn't like was that both myself and my friend ordered mushroom sauce with our food ,he got 1 slice of mushroom and i got none apart from that it was good

Food was delicious don't get me wrong, but I have never in my whole life seen a chicken schnitzel cut in half and served like that. 😳
The portions have also become considerably smaller since the last time I ate there for a senior's lunch

Depressing vibes. Food tasted like it came from an old folks home, which makes sense when you look at the clientele. Staff are nice although not all that helpful. Give this place a miss if you enjoy value for money.

Came here with family, they really messed up 3 of our simple orders (multiple times)
We ordered a coffee that we still haven’t received (40 mins waiting so far) we got told to wait for a replacement part of one meal which we didn’t end up even getting until finished. Food was also very cold.. never coming back again!

Been regulars for awhile now always had a very good meals WELL went back to chef and told chef he had forgotten half my meal he said it was senior's meal never had a meal so small here I had roast should have taken photo my friends had beef schnitzel was the size of a packet of cigarettes chips about 15 we just laughed FOUND OUT NEW OWNERS WE WONT BE BACK WE WONT BE RECOMMENDING
