We ate here on a Tuesday night and were very disappointed. Firstly, there's the view of Timezone, then there's rarely a staff member to be seen. We waited about an hour for our meals and it wasn't that busy. A table of four ladies next to us had to get take away containers to put their meals in as soon as they arrived because it took so long. The prices are also too high for the quality of food. There was also no water on the tables and no one came around and offered us any during the wait for our meals. A bad experience that could easily be fixed if management is so motivated.

Used to love coming here for cake and coffee, the cake was always a nice slice and now I can hardly see it on my plate, very slim pieces, maybe profits before keeping patrons. Go back to how it used to be please.

This is a pokies bar so my expectations weren't high to begin but the steak was so overcooked and tough I was tempted to bring home steak to turn it into a leather strap.

The service is awful. The worst I experienced is this blonde older woman around 60 yo full of attitide and rudeness. Many times I waited to be served at the bar while the staff finished their chat avoiding looking at you. There are a couple of staff who are attentive and pleasant, I remember who they are because they are rare around the place. But you don't know what you are gonna get. This business needs competition and the staff needs retraining or be replaced. After the encounter with that woman, I decided not to go there again. The proverbial last straw.

The food is average pub quality-gravy was like water. Atmosphere from the bistro is pretty average unless you like listening to arcade games next door. Service unfortunately is pretty poor- -we previously booked and we were pointed to the direction of where our reserved table was and left to our own devices. -got to table and had to go up to the front desk to get more menus -they had also set too many chairs up on our table so we had to remove excess chairs out of the way to even to sit down. The excess chairs remained in the bistro main dining area and were never shifted the entire time we were there. -went to order meals and drinks at the main counter but was told they could only process the meals in the line we were in so I had to line up again at the bar in the same area less than 2m away to get drinks. -I ordered 4 drinks- no help offering by staff to take them back to our table -No service on our table, not even tap water offered.. Overall terrible service given the number of staff on a Sat night- no wonder they were quiet.

Pokies den In the Sports bar they don’t turn the commentary on or even know what live sport is on , the tv is good though It operates purely to run pokies Menu has not changed ever The Parma and the ceasar salad are safe if you need to eat there, steak is like leather, farmhouse chicken is rubbish , pasta and risotto is out of a can because I can’t explain why it is so bad , butter chicken please avoid. They have beer and cold drinks which is a bonus and hard to stuff up

Overall the food was alright. It was a busy night so staff were flat out. The thing I remember was that the seniors meal was small. One small piece of fish. Salad and chips were fine. Good for watching sporting matches. Shopping centre parking is ample.

On website it says that they have vegan options, when we got here there was nothing marked vegan on the menu. We asked the service staff if there was anything on the menu that was vegan and the response was "nup" and "maybe we can do a side salad with no cheese" attitude was awful... There were 4 vegans in a party of 6, we walked out.

Nice venue to watch live sports with bunch of mates. The only pub in the Eastern Suburbs to show English Premier league Live soccer match. If you want to enjoy a Live football match, have pub foods and drinks with mates , this is the place to be.

My partner and I have been regulars for roughly 4 years. Our go to order is the Parma, it’s always been consistently delicious! Recently, the Parma has changed, the quality of chicken and chips do not seem the same. Possible management or chef change? The atmosphere is great, lots of different areas to sit for a different vibe. There’s a massive TV screen too, great for you sporty people.

I’ve been visiting for years. But their prices are very expensive now. $5 extra now to swap a side of salad for vegetables. When they came they were barely cooked. The corn was wet and soggy and the carrots were tough. Timezone is nearby making the bistro noisy. Won't be back anytime soon.

Great space to chill and have a pint. I went there whilst my son was going bowling with mates as I had to kill a few hours. The tennis was on (mute). Beer is very good value, burger was solid and great chips! I worked on my laptop but noticed they were playing poker. Nice respite place.

Great quality small pub. Food is decent quality. Prices slightly higher than average of equivalent venues. Still had a new and vibrant feel. Staff are friendly and attentive. Medium sized sports bar / tab area. Small to medium sized gaming area. Great game of poker on Sunday evenings.

Good food , good price and amazing service. One area to improve is to have more staff for Saturday night. They were so understaffed that the security guard had to wait tables.

Good could be better. Had the chicken parma seniors serving and it was so oily and overcooked. Lady next me who I came with and the gentleman on the other side of me also complained about the schnitzel being over cooked and hard to cut. have had better meals at other hotels.

Food was reasonable and the staff helpful. We were there with a group and service was pretty hurried but food came out in a satisfactory timeframe. The big downside was the gambling and pokies taking over most of the venue. It's not really a family friendly dining location even though it's right next door to Timezone

Beautiful meals, the butter chicken and carbonara were delish. They forgot the kids ice cream so we left. Not a kid friendly venue. Wonderful for seniors, good prices and portions.

As always this is a pokie pub and is reviewed as such. For me the service with a smile got me hooked. The food fitted my expectations 100% and the cake with coffee put a huge smile on the dial. As a bonus for sports lovers the TV was huge. I figure the perfect place to relax, watch sport and place a small wager .... in comfort.

Above forest hill shopping centre, this is a handy location to eat (esp as most other venues upstairs seem to be closed). Service is really fast though it's very noisy (from screens, slot machines and the timezone a few steps away). We asked for, and pointed to, a quieter booth but were oddly walked to another. Smell of cigarettes was also off-putting esp near the bar where you order. I ordered a cocktail but should have saved the $$ and gotten a soft drink as it tasted like a mocktail. A couple of us ordered salt and pepper calamari but it seemed to be missing both....it was also overly soft and mushy (like that tenderizing substance was used on it). Would also have been nice to be told my gf version would be missing the chips. I was served the same size salad and calamari for the same price as the regular on the same table. Was disappointed overall.

3 Strikes And You Are Out Chase Pub We have for years, patronised the Chase Hotel. A meal and drinks at least once a week, sometimes twice. We bring family and friends for meals when they visit. My wife loves her football and likes to watch it on the big screen over a meal. Some months ago on two occasions, we had lunch at the Chase pub with a group of friends. When my wife ordered our meal, for some reason, we did not know why, the lady taking the order (a woman of around 60 years old with blonde hair) demanded to see my wife's seniour's card, in an off-hand, rough, demanding manner. My wife is 76 years old, she's hardly trying to deceive anyone over a seniors meal. On the first occasion, the woman realising that my wife was with a group of friends who were aged from their 60's to late 80's, also demanded to see their seniors cards as well. The 2nd occasion, she only demanded to see my wife's seniors card. My wife, who is Chinese, was quietly offended but said nothing. She said quietly to me "Why when I am with a group of elderly white Australians, it's like she singled me out because I am Chinese." This 3rd occasion was yesterday. At around 3pm, my wife booked table 26 where there is a good position to watch the semi-final on the big screen, for 6:30pm. She also booked the same table for 5:30pm for the next night, Saturday, as we were bringing a friend. When she arrived at 6:30pm she was directed to a different table right up under the big screen and to the left, making it awkward to get a good view of the screen. My wife said "No, this is not the table, look in your reservations book." To which the staff member (a woman of around 60 years old with blond hair) said "We changed it because someone booked earlier, but it was not put in the book, so we gave that table to them instead." There was no apology, just a forthright attitude that this is the way it is, and that's that. I arrived about 10-15 minutes later and noticed that table 26 was vacant. My wife told me what happened, and I suggested that she go and ask the staff member now that those people had left, could we now have the table. Which she did. The staff member flatly said "No! You booked the table you are on." Normally, we let things like this slide, because everyone makes mistakes sometimes. But this seemed very unreasonable, and was now the third occasion that this staff member was just plain rude. I then went to the counter and asked the staff member if we could have now have table 26, as there was no one sitting at it. The response was a flat "No!" Thinking back, I do not know why we didn't just move to the table, as there was no one sitting at it. I then quietly and firmly asked "You mean, we booked table 26 but were removed from it, because apparently, someone had booked it earlier. And now that it is free, we still cannot have it?" As we were talking, a lady took the table 26 and sat down. She heard us talking and came to the counter and said to me "Sorry, did I take your table.." The staff member cut her off saying "No, that table was free, you are fine." The unflinching staff member then began to say that the out-of-the-way table we were given, was the table we booked, completely contradicting what she has said earlier. What, so it was free for someone else, but not for the people who had booked it earlier in the day and were asking about it when no one was sitting there? As you can imagine, I was really not happy about this woman's attitude. Not only did hotel staff make a mistake in the booking, and this woman gave no apology for it; but while the table was free, we were told we could not sit at the table we had booked. If that is how my wife is going to be treated, obviously we have taken our business elsewhere.
