We decided to give this pub another try after a very disappointing experience about a year ago. I'm very unhappy as we seemed to have the same problems. The food did not arrive at the same time to the point two people were finished while four were still waiting. even though it was ordered together. The taste and quality I would describe as below average.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Top notch pub food aswell, the pulled pork burger was amazing!!!

Used to be nice in 2023.
Parmas have halved in sized.
Seems to be a new chef.
Twice now chicken well over cooked.
Staff seem like they don't want to be there.
Staff member rolled her eyes when we rang bell after waiting for a few minutes.
Junkies in gaming room.
Been there over 20 times last year will not be returning.
What a shame Waa my favourite in the area.

The food was good and well presented however the service has honestly been terrible.
Not sure if I’ll come back.

The food was absolutely perfect, 10/10! The new head chef has done an amazing job! The floor staff also doing a great job! :) we will back again soon for lunch

The food and service were well above average ‘pub/bistro’ expectations. The staff were friendly and welcoming which wasn't surprising as Lorraine at front of house/manager was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

The Club Hotel at the corner of Burwood Highway and Ferntree Gully Road (right opposite Mountain Gate shopping centre) is one of the better local establishments offering typical pub meals. I usually eat well here, having been pleased with their steaks from the "Graziers" menu, and the Salt and Pepper Calamari. But I have also been disappointed: this last time ordering the Fish and Chips let me down as it tasted as if it was frozen food microwaved. The service is always quick and the staff rather friendly. Worth a stop for a stop for a meal.

Staff in the venue are absolutely fantastic here. Super friendly and accommodating. Been a regular here for many years and the staff have improved significantly. Keep it up whoever is hiring!

Roast beef was tough as nails. NasiGoreng was too dry. Bruschetta was missing balsamic vinegar, which made it fairly tasteless. Despite there being only 6 people in the bistro, nobody had cleared our empty plates for 1 hour, so I had to get them off our table. Would not ever go there again.

Outstanding experience and service at the Club Hotel. Staff went out of their way to ensure I was looked after and felt welcome. On top of that the burger I ordered for lunch was sensational. Couldn’t recommend more.

One of the best steaks I’ve had in a while for a decent price. Cooked perfectly and the vegetables on the side were fresh and not over cooked too. I was surprisingly impressed so much that I had to speak to the chef and tell him how much I enjoyed my meal. Chef Sam was friendly and appreciated the feedback greatly.

My family and I had Christmas Day lunch at The Club Hotel this year (2022). From the pre-preparations to the actual day, we couldn't fault the service or the 4 course meal. As someone who suffers with food allergies, I'm often limited with what I can eat. However, the Manager Aaron went out of his way to ensure I was able to have something in each course. A week before the event, he went through the menu with me to discuss options and alternatives. On the day, I was not disappointed, the food was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of it. The staff were fantastic and we all had a wonderful day. We are hoping to do it again next Christmas. Thank you Aaron and to the staff at The Club Hotel for making our day so special.

It was all a bit meh... The food was average. Small servings, and average tasting. It has an RSL-type vibe going on. This was a Saturday night, too. Nothing about the experience was terrible, but nothing about it lures us back either...

I have not dined at The Club Hotel since February this year. As I was so disappointed with the quality of the food. And don't plan to return. The menu needs more variety and a change rather then the same thing all the time

Had the sunday roast .. I left all the meat on the plate...was tough and tasteless and inedible. vegies were good, gravy nice but the meat was an absolute disaster .... frozen roasts meat from lite n easy better than this. Extremely disappointed, definitely the worst Sunday roast I have EVER had.... kitchen needs to pick up their game significantly... was my first time here, FANTASTIC bloke with the beard working out the front and nice traditional atmosphere but the food was an embarrassment and based on that, I dont think I could go back to try it again

Had Dinner here with my parents and 3 year old daughter. The playground is good for young kids. Otherwise when we walked in the place smelt of actual sewerage and the food was bloody awful. Genuinely uneatable rubbish we will not be back

Had a family dinner with 15 people and had a great experience. From the great meals to the fantastic friendly staff. Drove over 100km to get here as some family live near the club. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Great service with friendly staff on Thursday night even thou short staffed. Normally you receive snappy women serving with attitude. Prawn Spring Rolls are a killer, must try people , they are a winner. Family of 5 fed well. Hopefully they bring on some offal in winter. Eg , crumbed brains, sweetbreads, lambs fry, black pudding, etc.

Great food and atmosphere any night of the week, friendly staff and the manager is always keeping everyone safe and really helpful. Always walk away having had a great experience! Thanks guys!

Food is always nice but there are never enough employees so the ones that are working are overworked. Usually only one person covering the bar and food ordering section. This needs to change.

First time eating there. Very typical menu of pub grub, but very tasty and well done with really nice flavours. Got quite busy, as Saturday night, so best to book. Easy online ordering via QR code (allows for tipping but adds a small surcharge) or at the counter. Friendly service and a nice vibe and setting. Definitely worth going.

Exemplifies customer service and an elite dining experience. The Nasi Goreng was authentic and the cheesy garlic bread actually had an even amount across all four pieces, a rarity in these times. Overall, a crisp and clean experience, looking forward to another evening out!

Amazing and welcoming staff. Compliments to the chef on the beautiful pork belly and vegetables as a main and entree mixed dipping platter delicious. We will definitely be back with the family thank you so much.
