What a fantastic place for a feed with the family. Great kids meals, fresh ingredients, meals out quickly. Really happy and would highly recommend.

We went to The Dava Hotel for lunch today. We arrived about 12.30pm and ordered by 1.15pm. Our order obviously got lost somehow - tables of people who arrived after we had ordered, received their meals well before us. We queried when we could expect the meals to be told they won't be long. 2.30 the meals arrived. We realise the dining room was busy, but on a Sunday I'm sure that would be a fairly regular occurrence. Another customer who also complained was told - 'well this isn't a fast food restaurant' - he got his money back and left. The food was good - but it would have been nice if we were told that as it was very busy the meals could be quite a while. Certainly won't be going back in a hurry or recommending the hotel to others.

We loved our experience here. The pumpkin soup was outstanding. Great flavour with just the right amount of heat. The accompanying bread was nice too. My roast lamb was faultless. Perfect amount of meat and veggies perfectly cooked with a lovely gravy. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her osso bucco ravioli too.
The service from the young severs was terrific too. Efficient and polite. We loved not having to wait around forever too. The soup was brought out quickly and we were asked if we were ready for our mains. We thought the meal prices were most reasonable too. I’m not sure what the story is with some of the negative reviews here. This is a classic Aussie pub experience and a very good one.

We had dinner at the Dava last night and 3 of us ordered the lamb biryani from the specials menu. They were pathetic! They were entree sized and we each got 3 pieces of dried lamb, there were a couple of bits of carrot and maybe two bits of corn. A total rip off for $27.

We are usually happy with the meals here. Today my meal of fish, chips and salad was terrible. The salad okay, the fish, what there was of it was alright but the batter was so thick I couldn't eat it. When I took it off and put it on a napkin the fish left was minuscule. Never again, the waitress noticed and said oh wow the batter looks so thick and others walking past said guess we're not having the fish. So disappointed this time. My husbands senior meal was lovely as was our daughters vegetarian nachos

Was visiting family first time in the Peninsula area.We went here as a family and loved it ...great meal.
Returned a few nights later,and sad to say extremely disappointed.We ordered the crab and mussel chowder.The atmosphere here was lovely,nice glass of wine...great service.
Then the chowder arrived.
A complete disaster.Milky,runny,mixed veg and hardly any seafood.
So disappointed.
Maybe a new chef would be a good recommendation for this place.
I did complain,but not to want money back etc but to offer feedback.
You really need to do better.

Was a great atmosphere, great food, but service was 3 out of 4. Reason being, 3 of our meals came out & they ate 3/4 of their food before I got mine. Bit disorganised.

This place is a disgrace food is basic for top price most of the young staff are pleasant this one older think she is head of staff dark frizzy shoulder hair is absolute disgrace to the place with a bad attitude , rude and needs to take a good look at her self the way she treats people going in to that place, we won’t be back because of her!

They have added live music to the rooftop bar dining area service. Amazing atmosphere when mixed with the bay view and delicious food.

The ABBA concert on the 29th of June, 2024 was the best night. Can’t wait to see more concerts/bands at the Dava. My friends & I WILL be there. Well done Dava ❤️

Thank you so much to the Dava Hotel for being a wonderful venue for our son's 4th birthday. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful from booking the event to their service on the day! It's so difficult to host a Winter birthday that doesn't cost a fortune and the fact we could book a large space, free of charge that also entertained the kids was perfect! Made for a great day for the adults as well because we were able to chat easily and enjoy a meal - highly recommend and look forward to another visit :)

Sitting in the restaurant area, nice pub food very friendly staff, the kuds always live it.
the screens were on horse racing, looked like it should have been a menu screen or specials even. I dont go and eat a bar meal in the public or the TAB.

Service was exceptional, however pricing of the chicken parma was a joke. $32 is a robbery, highest price max should be $28, and if so $32 at least give a decent serve of chips. NOT HAPPY JAN

Really good Chicken Parma in the sports bar. Came out really quick, juicy chicken and good portion size. Only constructive criticism would be that it needed more Marinara sauce. Great service, friendly staff.

Nice place. Friendly staff. Impressed with staff commitment to keep the place Covid safe. 2 staff keep wiping tables and bar down. Food wise, fresh prawns and oysterd, flavour combination is unique and tasteful. Steak done well as medium, might be one of the best among bistros that I gone to. View from the deck bar is good

New menu is very good. Reasonably priced, good family fare. Lots of new flavours and old favourites too. Steak was cooked to perfection. Starters were delicious….cheese pizza bread, prawn spring rolls, huge bowl of wedges. Burgers, pasta and chicken parmas were very good. Staff were super friendly and helpful…nothing was too much trouble. Very, very good!

My family has been coming here for 30 plus years it’s great pub
My son wasn’t happy with a special meal and mentioned it to a waitress
How quickly the manager Jeremy came and organised a new meal no fuss no incrimination
We will be back hopefully for another 30 years plus 🍻

I went to the Dava a few years ago and was not impressed. I heard it had changed hands and was now a great place to eat. I've been 4 times in the past 4 months and I can't believe the change. Really nice venue, excellent staff and top class food. This is a good example of how to turn a business around.

It was a lovely experience. We had lunch there one Sunday, sat at a table on the deck with the beautiful sea view. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Food was great. Definitely recommend, see ya next time! Thanks.

I didn't like this place. Bad service and we had to ask for parmesan cheese. There was no sauce on the pizza. The lemon lime bitters looked like orange juice. We also had to fetch our own water. This place should be refurbished and the atmosphere was bad. Won't be coming here again! Bad start to 2024 🤓

Honestly the best rooftop local! But the food is just awful! $35 for a share plate that was extremely dire!! Have always wondered why it is not busier at the best spot in Mornington!

Home cooked kind of meals. Portions not so big. Atmosphere and staff are good. Good to try. Had the chicken curry special. Maybe it's what I ordered. Not sure.

Food was really tasty! Service was great even with my large family who dined. They gave me a delicious cake slice for my birthday which made my night amazing!

Excellent on a busy long weekend. We had a big table of 12. Staff were brilliant, meals well sized and wait staff nothing was too much trouble to do. Thanks for a great night

Came for lunch with Our Torana Club -: Aussie Torana Legends Social Cruisers inc. we would in courage families and clubs to attend, it was a good place to attend highly recommend

Booked here for a change as it had been 10 years since our last visit. There was no atmosphere to this place at all, which isn’t how I remembered it 10 years ago as this place was a buzz with people and atmosphere. I ordered the linguine marinara and thought I would see more than the 1 prawn that I got for the high price of the dish which was more an entree size serving. Another guest in a party ordered a margarita pizza which was smothered in cheese minus any sauce. Honestly for the price, spend your money somewhere else. Very disappointing and won’t be returning.

Been here slot over the last 30 off years. I must say it one pub that has never let us down. Meals always spot on and drink prices are reasonable
