We had lunch but was very disappointed in most of areas overall. We waited so long to get seated despite being not busy at all. The food was very poor in both regards of portion size and taste. Way expensive for the price, I paid $34 for chips and salad as fish was not even quarter portion. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We had a wonderful 3 nights stay at Dingley. Location is wonderful and 5 minutes walk to Costco so for those who are complaining about bistro food, just walk to costco for a $2 sausage? 😉 JK We had a really nice stay here and will definitely visit again if travelling to this side of Melbourne.

We grew up around this area and The Dingley Pub Was all that was there at the time.. we stayed here in their accommodation last night and were very happy with our accommodation and couldn’t believe how much it had changed. ||We had an executive suite, room 208, a very big and spacious room with spa bath and balcony looking over a sort of park into an industrial estate but very quiet. ||The bed was super comfy and King size, easy to melt in. ||We went to the Bistro for diner that’s attached to the facility and that was also quite nice, great service and food was good, reasonable prices and only 20mtrs from the accommodation on flat ground for those with disabilities or walking issues. ||The staff were lovely, friendly and efficient. We would stay here again.

We didn't stay here, we dined. Food was delicious and service was great. I took my 92 yo mum out for a late lunch and they moved chairs to allow for her wheelchair. They also suggested a particularly warm place for her to sit. It was a Sunday afternoon and there was music which was lovely and not too loud.

very disappointed. give me back our money! sauna closed when we came for, restaurant not very good and 1 hour of waiting following an event... time to have the meals and eat them the kitchen was closed at 9 p.m. so because of their delay but had the time to have desserts. But even so much waiting for lunch the next day and this time no one. staff who clean the tables very slowly and who work in slow motion. lack of sign to explain where lunch is, you have to go out to the restaurant, order (no buffet).

Thursday before Christmas we had our work breakup lunch in the alfresco area and it was just perfect. From the delicious food to the yummy cocktails to the friendly service, we couldn’t fault it. Especially given how busy it was! Would highly recommend the Dingley Hotel and will definitely be back!

This motel is very clean and the reception staff are very helpful and kind. |The room was spotless and they provide soap shampoo and conditioner.|Breakfast is at the bistro very close by.|Dinners were reasonably priced and good amount of food. At the bistro. |The rooms are modern and they have foxtel plus the free to air.|It is very close to Moorabbin Airport and only a short taxi ride to the various hangers. |Air Safaris recommends this motel and I agree with them.

The hotel works for a quick stop and provides a good option when there isn’t any other options. Average hotel which meets the minimums. The room was hot and the pillows were horrible. The pool looked like a science experiment and was in need of some cleaning. The “spa tub” wasn’t working. The gym was out of commission due to damage “water damage” Breakfast at the bistro next door was great and provided an options for Vegetarian and others. The rooms safety lock was broken and the door didn’t close properly. Looked like it had been kicked in previously

The D.I. has everything going for it- service, staff, location, design and all usual pub attractions but is let down by the food. As locals we have dined here several times, each visit the food we order gets worse, regardless of what we order, and increasing in price. Our last meal here (quiet Monday lunchtime) was the rib fillet. Priced at $49 for 350g, it should have mentioned it came on the bone, bone weighing about 80g. Both steaks were tough, chewy and flavourless, apart from bitter burnt charcoal flavour. Neither accurately cooked.. Past experience of mentioning disappointment taught us you won’t get any compensation ( must be why you pay upfront - no refunds possible??), not even acknowledgement or apology. So we ate the chips and salad and left for the last time.

Room wasn't very clean. Cups and kettle were filthy. Beds stunk with body odour. Floors were very dirty. Foot prints all over the bed. Was supposed to get a call from management but haven't heard anything from them. It's been a month. So, here is the honest truth review.

Rooms were comfortable and well appointed, hotel staff were friendly, room service was prompt. The morning bistro experience wasn't quite so positive, although the coffee was fantastic. Server was grumpy, food orders were slow and many tables weren't cleaned from the night before. Hotel and function room experience five stars, bistro (a generous) three.

Recently stayed at the hotel for the Indoor Cricket National Championships and I have to say Julie and the team were very accommodating. The rooms were clean and spacious, the facilities were easily accessible. Thank you for taking care of our players. The meals at the bistro were delicious with perfect servings our favourites were the pizza and parmigiana. If you have time stop by for breakfast, the service from Agi was such a delight especially when you have an early morning start.

I went to The Dingley Hotel with my mates and it was an amazing night out! The sports bar is great to go out and socialise with your friends. I ordered a margarita pizza and that was the best pizza I’ve had in a long time! The service from the staff was great! Very friendly and terrific service from them all. I will definitely be coming back 😊

It was very delicious food but we all had to wait 2 hours for our meal. I would have given 5 stars if we got the food quicker.

I could not recommend this Motel highly enough. From the spacious rooms, shower and everything else. We were travelling with Australian Air Safaris. On the very first night, my wife became ill. The lady at the desk called an ambulance for us and guided them to our room. She was taken to the hospital and had to stay a couple of nights. The staff at the front counter were exceptionally nice to us and were so helpful. In fact fantastic. We had meals at the cafeteria attatched to the hotel. Really nice meals. Great motel.

Had the worst “medium rare” eye fillet, burnt to a crisp on the outside, leaving a burnt taste in the mouth. My wife had the thinnest Parma, whilst the woman who ordered after her had the thickest we’ve ever seen! The onion rings were clearly cooked earlier in the day!!! Very disappointing, especially when there their pizza are amazing!! Best we stick to them moving forward!!!!! If we come back, that is 👎🏼

Had the bbq Parma for lunch came with cold and soggy onion rings Parma was also only just warm and looked like it was a week old Pizza was a bit better but cheese could have done with another minute or so in the oven Bar tender poured a beer which was 1/3 head and put it on the counter I thought she was going to fix it but just walked away and the other person came over after I said something and asked if she could pour it again Last few times the food has been below average Won’t go back for a while

Had a family dinner here yesterday. Everyone had gotten their meals except myself. After waiting 15-20mins, most of my family had finished half of their meals by now. I went up and asked about the last meal we were waiting on. Staff apologised and said she would look into it for us, she came over and gave us the printed docket, showing that we didn't order the meal I was waiting on, even though we definitely did. The staff said she would put it through now and said we can fix it up after. Another 15mins go by, and I see what I can assume is the manager, come out and explain, "Are we still waiting on one last meal?" I replied "Yep, just the Parma, the lady before has put it through." He replied "mmmm yeah, she hasn't and is waiting for payment before processing the order." At this point it had been almost 1.5hrs since we had originally ordered. I told them not to worry about it and we left as everyone had already finished their meals. I know mistakes happen but this was poorly handled and really put a damper on our experience at what is a nice looking pub hotel.

Few mistakes with the food where meals went missing. Beer selection is basic and it is so close to about 3 breweries. Food was fresh and well cooked but just bistro fare.

Due to Taylor swift concert weekend. We couldn’t find hotels in the CBD. We stayed at The Dingley hotel for 2 nights. Exceeded our expectations. Rooms were fairly clean and contemporary. Service at front desk was very good. The downsides would be the noise coming from adjacent rooms as the rooms were not soundproof. We could hear people talking and water running from their showers. And the beds were too soft causing back pain in the morning. Food and wine from the bar were very delicious. Overall we were impressed and will recommend this hotel.

Cocktail was very expensive ordered Long Island Ice Tea $21 and I couldnt taste any alcohol in it Ive had this Cocktail at many venues and you can taste alcohol strong when drinking it .after speaking to bar staff they told its suppose to taste like Coke???? Then staff spilled my drink on table by accident They got me another Long Island ice Tea which tasted even more watery! Awful experience! The lunch ordered Lemon Pepper calamari was also a very small portion I was quite shocked as it cost $27 and I was still hungry after the meal..I havent been to Dingley Hotel for a while but it use to be a great place for food and drinks now my friends and I will not come back ..Ill stick to Dandenong Pavillion great meal portion sizes and cheaper alcoholic beverages with actual alcohol in their cocktails!

Chicken BBQ Parma was not fresh. Staff were great but food just average. Had a football team come in and you could tell meals were made well in advance.

Came to Dingley today for lunch and to also listen to Nat Blazyn - table had the ribeye, chicken Parma and carbonara pasta - all meals were out in a timely fashion despite it being busy. All meals were absolutely beautiful too - best steak I’ve had in a while with fresh chips and a fresh salad. Customer service was to a point and everyone was so pleasant and polite and attentive also. Manager Brad was also very helpful too. Also currently have table meal ordering with QR codes which is handy. Will definitely be back again.

Bistro review Waited almost an hour for food after ordering through qr code at table 7.35pm and had to ask staff at 8.25pm where was our food. Apart from this, quite good. Friendly staff.

Bistro Review Dined at the Bistro for dinner, with my husband and my elderly parents. My parents ordered meals off the Seniors Menu, and they were amazingly generous in size and also came with a free drink! I ordered the lamb risoni which was a small serving, bland, and had hardly any lamb... this is the first and only time I have been disappointed with my meal here. Booking process was easy, ordering process was easy, service was very quick and the bistro inside was very clean and warm and had beautiful decor.

Bistro review. 2 meals purchased. One rib eye steak which was not great. Very chewy. Second meal seniors steak which was the cheaper option was better. We gave our feedback to staff with no apology or any offer for another option. Disappointing. Good reason not to come back.
