We were lucky enough to have our first Sunday lunch at the Family Hotel today and it lives up to its name! We were warmly greeted and looked after well, the service being excellent. The food was delicious and we are looking forward to visiting again.

We really enjoyed our visit for dinner. Lovely staff. Nice relaxed vibe out on the balcony. We ordered 3 burgers and a kids nuggets and fries. Burgers were great tasting and were a good size. My son is a chicken nuggets fiend and these passed the test with flying colours. I had a couple of delicious purple gins - elderflower I think it was. My husband enjoyed his dark ale. Great place, we will be back.

We have been going to the Family Hotel Maitland (aka Culture Club) too many times to keep count! From the cool vibe and the friendly team with fun banter, you’ll feel right at home with your friends or fam here. Awesome selection of craft beers with a rare spot in town to sit at the bar, it’s a great place to meet for a drink or dine in. Plus they make the best caramel espresso martinis in town! Nice variety of food on the menu that has gluten and dairy free options, bringing their quality from a former local fave Coquun to the pub scene. Love the beef brisket salad, barramundi and chips and was surprised by how delicious the salt and vinegar Brussel sprouts are! If you stop in for lunch, you can grab a coffee from the Bearded Cactus on your way out too. See you again soon guys!

We booked a night here on our roadtrip up north travelling with our 2yo. From the warm hospitality, the complimentary welcome drink, and great atmosphere we knew we landed in the right place. The hotel has Incredible old world charm tastefully decorated and was exceptional value for money. Definitely not a bland, modern hotel thankfully, an increasingly rare find these days. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates an historic space beautifully remodelled that's run by a fantastic couple.

The new renovation gives the place a chill relaxing vibe. Plenty of beers and cocktails available for selection which was nice. Menu is small and I was a little skeptical at a mushroom dish in the pub classics, but I'm always willing to give things a try. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the food. We all had something different and they nailed every dish. Prices are on par with other similar style pubs in the area. Staff were also very friendly. This place used to be pretty low on my list of recommendations for Maitland pubs and my brother had to really sell it to me to come here for dinner, but I'm glad he persisted as I can confidently say the food and service has changed my mind on coming back here and I'll definitely be looking to bring my friends back soon.

The new gem of Maitland dining. 2nd visit on Mother’s Day. The place was packed and meals were prepared in a timely manner. Great staff and host. Great selection of beer , wine , spirits and cocktails. The rump with lemon myrtle butter is sensational. Barramundi beautiful. Try the salt and vinegar Brussel sprouts. Great venue , a must to try.

The coolest, sweetest, most vibing little pub in Maito! Today was our first visit and we were so happy to find such a warm welcome and amazing atmosphere. Decor is super funky, plenty of plush arm chairs as well as regular bar stools, dining sets and picnic tables on the airy back deck. The food was yum, the drinks were cool and within an hour or two we felt like we were mates. New fave pub, we'll be back for sure 💙

Ok. This place is not what I expected. So good to go into a place where all walks of life are together under the same roof…and loving it! Food was delicious…brisket salad, a highlight. great prices. The Beryls were amazing…I really felt I didn’t deserve it. I would pay to hear her voice at the biggest venues, but here they were near Bunnings in Maitland. Lucky me

I went for an event there and absolutely fell in love with this place. It was super cosy in the back with the fire place and big armchairs. Staff was super attentive and lovely, loved the coffee shop in the back, apparently it’s converted stables. Food was amazing, I even took anotger desert to go.

I tried this place out recently. I knew it had had a change of ownership and was more family oriented, so I took my 6 year old granddaughter with me. It was a Wednesday night in holiday season, so it was steady, but not really busy. The ambiance was friendly and they had a boppy soundtrack going in the background. We sat outside on the covered patio at the back and it was pleasant, although there wasn't any view to speak of. There is a limited menu but it covers most of the pub favourites. I had a chicken burger that was dressed with cheese, cos lettuce, pickle, avocado and pickled onions providing the crunch. It was delicious. My granddaughter had fish and chips from the kids menu. The food was good and there are GF versions of several of the meals for the coeliac family members. For drinks, there's quite a selection of boutique beers on tap, but they had me at "A&W Root beer". Love that. The place and people are friendly, the food is good at a fair price, but on this particular night, the kitchen service was S-L-O-W. Don't know if that's normal but I almost did one of those ' do you have my order???' queries. I recommend you try it, but don't be in a hurry. Even then, they might surprise you.

I took my client with disabilities here today and the way they included him in the conversation and actually spoke to him was amazing not many places do this and we felt so welcome. The way they organised a coke in a takeway cup for him was brilliant We will definitely be back the food was great 👍 Thanks guys you're amazing and so welcoming and such a family feel pub.

Incredible atmosphere! The decor is eclectic yet well crafted. The wall of cultural icons, the mid century furniture, the incredible wine & food menu; This is seriously a place of culture! Whether you want to indulge in delicious food & beverages, or have a lil boogie on the dance floor this place has you covered. The staff are always super friendly, always up for a chat and are in general a total vibe. This is a step in the right direction for Maitland. Keep up the great work

I have driven past the family hotel for a few years and always wanted too try it. Can honestly say it is awesome. I got the brisket burger and it was F-ing amazing, I'm a truck driver and go all across the country and I can confirm it was one of the best I've ever had. Amazing service and very nice staff that have a great chat, swing in and support the locals having a go it's well worth your time and money.

I had dinner here with my family. My son is gluten and dairy free and there were so many choices for him. The staff checked everything he liked was ok for him to eat. The staff and the chefs were amazing. We bought a bottle of their delicious spicy sauce and we've enjoyed it in so many things. Highly recommend. Bonus, they play great music

Had an amazing night last night at the family. Bar staff were extremely welcoming and the service was incredible. Finally found a local pub where you can sit at the bar and chat with the friendly staff, definitely my new local. 😁 Love this place, it reminds me of how pubs used to be.

Dan and Leah have done it again. Their brand that everybody loves is now at the family. The work they’ve put into styling is huge and the results are awesome. The food was awesome and the craft beers on tap were great. This space makes sense for a regular visit for lunch, dinner and drop in drinks 🤌🏾

A beautiful old hotel with plenty of parking for the local or traveling patron. Great to see the changes since my last visit a few years back. Service was of high standards and the food was equally as impressive. Massive dining area out back, as well as some smaller rooms to rest quietly with a counter lunch and refreshing ale or lager. Great to see a hotel without pokies, still pulling a good lunchtime crowd. Recommend the Culture Club Salad with the pulled banana option... tasty, fresh, healthy and nutritious. Excellent value food and friendly service. Well worth the visit if you're in the area or need a rest from the drive. 50m off the New England.
