Went to the Bistro to get some tea (food). I ordered food , got a ticket with a Number. (Hamburger). Wait ing waiting. 35 minutes later got my food. Not as if they we busy. Waitress kept givig out food to who ever. Not the right ticket numbers. Forgot about me, just kept giving out food. Until we complained. Wouldn't recommend going to the trots. Hardly any people there, poor service. No TABs open upstairs, only down stairs . No facilits open . Very poor. No wonder the crowds aren't there any more.

Today's meal was the nail in the coffin for me as far as supporting this local venue. I had to wait 40 minutes for our meals, when it finally one meal was barely edible the other tasted like the meat had gone off.
The person I feel the most sorry for is the cook as she was the only one on in the Bistro (serving, cooking and waiting on tables), the food she had left for her by the alleged Management must be one step up from animal quality.
I would not and nor will I ever be recommending this venue to anyone in the future.

This place would be great if the food was!
Staff friendly and kids loved to see the horses and run ans roll around themselves on the grass hill area. The food just really lets this place down! Waited 45 minutes for raw fish to be served to us, and 25 minutes for a raw fish replacement, and another 20 minutes for a schnitzel replacement as the wait for another raw fish to be served I could not take, had to take the risk that hopefully the schnitzel would cone out cooked.. which thankfully it was..
Really need to hire a new decent head chef, expand the menu to more than 5 items... at least for race days.. and this place could be a really nice place for families and punters alike!!
Message to stakeholders and managers, Build it and we will come!! Potential is there to make this place a real hot spot for all! Spend the money to vamp it up and keep it great and word will spread.. until then this place will continue to let people down and customers like me will not come back..

Super Friendly staff and Great meals in the bistro restaurant at reasonable prices.
Highly recommended for a great night out when trots are on, kids and family friendly.

Really happy with the service and good quality food. We had a group of 12 and all got our food in good time. Everyone was happy with their dishes. Salad bar was ok, maybe cook the potatoe a little longer 😊. Will return soon

Pretty disappointing. $35 a head. At 7.00 pm buffet was empty. They half filled it eventually. Ran out of prawns, green salads and desserts. No vegetarian options. Steam burns from looking for dishes under lids covering bain marie water. Unsafe. Food that was available was reasonable but not worth the money. Do not recommend.

Not a bad venue for a beer and a punt. Pokie machines are there, if you're into them. Staff and patrons are friendly enough. Definitely a better bar than the hole of a venue a couple of km north. Beer is well priced and they have happy hour, so you can have a few extra shillings in your pocket. Only criticism is that it's quite dark and the floor is uneven in one area.

It was ok but one thing I didn't like was when the meat raffle was drawn 5 of the meat trays were won by the bar staff 3 of them were won by the barman doing the raffle.
I don't think the staff should be allowed to enter when the meat tray raffle is for patrons not the staff working.

I like it here for a quiet beer n punt.
It doesn't get super busy. Great night out when the trotts are on.

Bistro Food was ordinary, tasteless offerings from a venue that should be far better. The higher price does not reflect the quality, that should be there.
