Basic rooms in a laid-back pub with a Thai restaurant & 3 bars, plus Wi-Fi & breakfast. Set in the town centre, this laid-back pub with rooms is a minute walk's from Westfield Hornsby shopping centre, a 5-minute walk from Hornsby train station and 16 km from Lane Cove National Park. The 10 straightforward rooms feature partially exposed brick walls, private bathrooms, Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Continental breakfast is available. A casual Thai restaurant has covered terrace seating, and there are 3 bars offering live music, pool tables and betting facilities. There's also a drive-through liquor store.

Went in on a Wednesday night with a table for two. Ended up waiting 45 minutes for meals and to get a drink was a wait also it seems like they do Uber eats or a delivery app like that. If they maybe prioritised the customers inside the restaurant then the people at home I would be going back other than that the food was good.

Very good food at the inn.
Not many vegetarian options, but boy were they delicious.
Hoping they expand the vegetarian menu as the chef is very good

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Paid $434.70 through Expedia for two nights accomodation only to be charged again $304.50 which I was assured by the manager wouldn't happen. The room had Mould in the Carpet there was dust on the top to the toilet, I couldn't shut the bathroom window, kept bouncing back up. There was a hole that had either been kicked or punched in the bathroom door. The place stuck of cigarette smoke. I wouldn't let my dog's stay in a place like this.

The staff was really nice! Room was clean and the cleaning staff was over the top perfect 👍 hotel is right by the train station and by a big shopping centre. The beer downstairs in the pub ist also great 👍

The staff and service was fantastic. Room's could be upgraded a little bit.but clean and tidy. Very close to Accor stadium buy train seeing Pink..no complaints at all. Linen very crisp an clean. Enjoyed stay. Close to shops and restaurants..

The room was small, but comfortable with an ensuite bathroom. The fittings were aging and had some damage, but functioned. I found the room too warm. The price was a shocker. I'd have paid half that and thought it reasonable, but I needed a room for the night and took what was offered.

The publican was loud, arrogant and had no consideration for his guests - a bit overpowered by his self-importance. I was pretty disappointed when, not knowing that he was in charge, asked him to try and consider the guests in the establishment.||||Given his conduct I wouldn't stay here again if he paid me.

The inn is a nice local pub, conveniently close to the westfield and station. Great for a feed and very kind service every time i go! This is just a nitpick, but i wish they had more options on tap. No ciders, ginger beer or even Guinness!

Stayed the night in Hornsby for a concert at Olympic park
The Hornsby inn has a great atmosphere and decent pricing. staff go above and beyond with their friendly service
Wish I had of got to try the food.
Will definitely be back again.

Quaint location with a bit of taste for all. A quiet side bar is tucked in-between a dinning room and then on the other side a larger sports bar with frequent live entertainment on Fridays. The food is varied and fairly priced while also a great bite none the less. Good variety on tap with wine and cocktail too. Staff is friendly and welcoming as well

Placed an order for delivery, they accept and cancelled after 10 mins. The general manager who picked up my call lies to my face and writes it off to a technical glitch when they are clearly still open on Uber. Screenshot attached for transparency.

Location! Location! With in 1 min walking distance of where I needed to be. Shopping mall within the same distance. Friendly customer service on both days. Added bonus, enjoyed the food. Multiple down stairs sitting rooms for customers, a good stay.

I stayed in room 4. Firstly, I had booked with Booking.com but they indicated no room available for my last night, so I booked my last night of 5 at another hotel, which was much less convenient. On arrival, I mentioned this to the check in staff who confirmed that a room was available, so I booked the last night there as well and cancelled the other hotel.||Check in was fast and friendly.||Then the stairs, oh the stairs. I have a bad back and my legs are not much better, so I hauled myself up and down the stairs for the week I was there.||The main reason for choosing the Hornsby Inn, was it's proximity to my mother's old flat that I had to prepare for sale, proximity to the rail line and proximity to the main shopping area of Hornsby. This was an excellent location for all of those things.||The room was basic, a double bed and a single bed, a table and chair, TV, in window air-con, a small fridge, and bathroom/toilet with towels and basic toiletries available. The staff cleaned it every day, so the room was well presented. The shower was very good, with a flexible shower head, and the towels were full sized, a big plus.||One issue was when the curtains were drawn, you couldn't use the air-con, but there was a ceiling fan that did the job nicely.||Air-con for the main building was fairly loud during the evening, but shut down latter at night. I wasn't really bothered by it.||The room advertises that it comes with breakfast, but that is all in the mini fridge, tea and coffee with electric jug and toaster, two types of cereal, milk and some spreads for the toast. I purchased a box of my favourite cereal and a ltr of milk at the nearby supermarket and used the crockery provided by the hotel.||Meals at the Bistro downstairs are patchy, but there are numerous restaurants within walking distance so that wasn't an issue for me.||All in all, this exceeded my expectations and I spent a very pleasant week there. I thought the price per night a little high, but due to the above mentioned advantages, it was well worth it.

I really enjoyed getting food and playing pool every afternoon when Nathan was security. It was a great atmosphere. Since the security has changed, I am not the biggest fan and don't think I will be coming any longer to be annoyed constantly.

I had a key issue coming back to my room, but an employee Jake helped me out. His kindness, positive energy and overall politeness made my night a whole lot better and my issue a lot less annoying. GIVE MY MAN A RAISE

Had a meal here for the 1st time in a year. I was in a group of 8 and found all meals were on point for what we asked for. Serving size was great. Prices were reasonable and the meal deal of the day with a beer or wine was great value.

Great for meeting friends for a drink or a nice meal, pool tables and live music on certain days. The steaks are amazing and ive found my new favourite Diane sauce.Nice place to have a bet on the poker machines while having a beer , complementary coffee or soft drink.

Great experience here- one of the bartenders, Daniel, was incredibly accomodating and provided some great drink recommendations. Can't recommend him enough, will be going back!

Good selection of beers, friendly bartender. As for food I ordered the Schnitty, it was ok, a bit over cooked and that made it dry. Feel like this place deserves another chance on the food.||Great place to go for a drink though. Several different areas to sit.

Disappointing, never again.the bedding was ok but a big stain on the folded blanket at end of my bed..the bathroom was filthy ,hairs on the floor in the ensuitie,shower floor brown with ingrained dirt(it was suppose to be white tiles)..the hotel in need of long overdue reno

Came here for dinner with the family and have to say It Is the best pub feed we have had in the area in a very long time. My steak was cooked perfectly and the mash and veggies were beautiful. The kids meals were great along with the ice cream and hubby got the drunken muscles which he wished he got more of because they were so good. The food hasn't disappointed the last few times that we have been since it changed over. Highly recommend 👌

Asked to swap chips for mash on an order and was charged an $6 which was the full price of the side. Why not just say, menu items are not negotiable? And tbh what’s the issue swapping chips for mash? But when it came the food was copious and amazing! And definitely worth the extra $6

A regular who was taken aback with the weekly specials tonight. The menu clearly states a schnitzel, sides, and choice of sauce are included - yet the kitchen has imposed an additional $3 tax if you want the included sauce, a clearly deceitful scheme

Additional - a Sunday night (21/4/24). Tills taken before 9:20, pubs in NSW close at 10 pm. No "last drinks" warning. The staff seem have their own agenda. Service industry, not here. Fairly quiet night, but we are locals. Lift your game. Should've stayed at another place. DISAPPOINTED
Can be very short staffed in evenings during the week. Quite possible to wait minutes for bar staff to get to the bar. They are no where to be seen at times (not even picking up glasses). If you miss happy hour cut-off because of missing bar staff, tough bloody luck.
On the flip-side, a great selection of ales & spirits. The bar staff are personable. I haven't tried the food, but by all accounts nice and tasty at a good price. Food specials most nights.
