Historic 1890-built pub offering straightforward dining, plus basic lodgings and free Wi-Fi. Set in the town centre of Orange, this pub with rooms dates from 1890. It's 1.3 km from Cook Park and Lake Canobolas is 10 km away. Functional rooms (some with bunk beds) come with free Wi-Fi, desks and shared bathrooms. The Hotel Orange Reviews
We’ve been to the Orange Hotel twice since their reopening and we have thoroughly enjoyed their ambience, delicious food and friendly staff.
We love their veg pasta and pizza ( highly recommend them) . . hot freshly prepared, good portion size and loaded with veggies.
A nice place to hang out with friends and family .

Went for lunch had Caesar salad with chicken also spaghetti with meatballs which were nice . Started with Bruschetta which I felt was a little overpriced only two small pieces for $10 normally you would expect at least three for that price . Wine list a little expensive as well cheapest bottle was $28 but most were $30 and above. Have done a nice job with renovations and removed the gaming area from the hotel .

Thought we would try out the newly renovated and transformed Hotel Orange for dinner. What a wonderful surprise it was a quiet Tuesday night and the young man serving was attentive and helpful the food was delicious. Salt and pepper squid entree - best in the town. I had the oven baked barramundi with roast veg and everything on the plate was good to perfection (& and we eat out A LOT). Husband had the salmon gravy lax and seafood schnitzel and he too was raving about his dish. All I can say to you is give this place a try it is one of the best pub feeds in town now.!!! Well done to everyone involved- see you again !!|PS the wine menu has some good choices but the best ones are only by the bottle which was a shame I would like to see more options to the glass of wine list but that is all I could fault.

The food was fine, but there were a few issues.
1. We didn't receive our drinks until after the meal came out. Minor problem, but a little annoying.
2. The dining room smelt like pee. Made me feel pretty ill.
3. People smoking inside
Alright for your stock standard party pub, but wouldn't recommend it for food

The smell was definitely there. Did you wonder why we moved tables 3 times?
The smoking was definitely in an indoor area. Not my problem if you did not notice it. Just so you are also aware though, smoking in a beer garden (which by the way, you just admitted people were doing) is actually illegal. Under the smoke free Environment Act 2000, it states smoking is banned in seated outdoor areas while food is being served. Since there is seating out there and also being next to the kitchen, do you not think this counts as a seated outdoor area food is being served? But that's fine. I'm happy to contact the authorities as required.

The decor is nice and the staff is friendly, but I wouldn't come here if you were vegetarian - the "Orange's Special Ultimate Vege Burger" is $18 for what seems like a frozen patty, lettuce, tomato and tomato sauce. Better off making your own at home. Again, staff and decor is nice but in my opinion that's it.

Stopped in here on a walk back into town for a couple of drinks. Freshly renovated pub. We were here on a Tuesday lunchtime so it was quiet. the guy at the bar was great and made the experience that much better. ||I would return for a feed next time I am in town after the friendly experience. Thanks for the friendly atmosphere.

Recently i ate dinner at the hotel orange restaurant and i am so disappointed. The temperature was freezing and the service took so long. we lined up on the bar and waited for 20 minutes and got no service, so had to go over to the register to order drinks just for them to go over to the bar to serve us. Waited one hour and ten minutes for our food to arrive. Expected so much more from this place as it looked cozy but i will never come here again.

Rang earlier in the day to book a table the girl took our time and how many ppl but we had to ask if she wanted our name, anyway we arrive at seven they ask if we have a booking we say yes but it wasn’t written down. Not impressing us yet, the refurb is nice but menu is limited and fairly average, for example chili prawns and garlic with spaghetti the chilli wasn’t spicy and found no garlic so a bit boring, other meals were similar. They also need someone that knows how to make cocktails on the menu. It is nice would maybe go again but not in a rush

Randomly went here on a Saturday night. They definitely gear the place to the towns younger crowd on Saturdays with plastic cups and tight security. Night club vibe (or as much as you can have in COVID with no dancing etc). Bar Staff/Security were mostly on the young side too but really reasonable and friendly. Good service at the bar. Would happily go back - imagine the vibe would be very different at other times of the week.

Outstanding best pub experience with fabulous cocktail choices Liquid passion, Long Island ice tea must try with amazing food best schnitzel, pork ribs and lamb shank. Most importantly best beer on tap range Stone & Wood is the winner! Night club experience has been amazing over weekend.

One of the best place I've ever visited. All the members of the staff were polite ,food was so delicious and the environment there was very refreshing. Had a great time there. Hoping to come soon

My wife and I both ordered the ribs and they were pretty good. Order arrived quickly and was more than enough as quite a substantial meal.
The place was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return next time we're staying in Orange.

I went to your so called newly refurbished hotel Orange that everyone is raving about. To put it simply honest it’s a dive. Wouldn’t come back again. Your rest rooms are unhygienic and poorly maintained and you charge $22 for a pizza and the food itself looks very cheap. Long story short your health and quality standards don’t meet what is required as is what meant to be a restaurant

I used to look forward to Friday nights at Hotel Orange. I went there last week and was sorley disappointed. The upstairs bar/dance floor is only open on Saturdays, the DJ is downstairs which can be quite distracting if you're trying to catch up with old mates. Drink prices are very expensive, I understand they are trying to make a profit but $15 for a can of Jack Daniel's is a bit steep. With that said, the Staff at Hotel Orange are very friendly, they go above and beyond for their patrons. Especially the bar Staff, they are wonderful, their customer service is great.

Great ambience, beautiful venue and lovely staff. I was with my friends for dinner, food was average, great varieties of drinks. We were just surprised that the kitchen closes at 0830 which we reckon was too early for dinner. Anyway, we had a great time, we would definitely come back.

Frustrated city raver stuck in Orange on a wine tasting trip - I headed into the Hotel Orange in search of some nocturnal life & soul. I was impressed with the talented & energetic DJs, the friendly staff, and the incredible vibes from everyone there. Definitely worth heading in if you find yourself in Orange on a Saturday night!

Excellent food, surprised how quiet it is. Very much a hidden gem . I had meat lovers schnitzel and it very good quality. Others had pork ribs, and barramundi and were very happy. Definitely worth a visit

Been out a few times to party, on each occasion the DJ that was playing in the night club upstairs for the most of the night was bloody atrocious. Had no idea how to mix or fade, and could keep a consistent BPM. Absolutely dismal performance.

A group of friends and I from Sydney called into the Hotel Orange and we were very amazed at the high quality of food, great service and friendly atmosphere. We listened to great live background music during our dinner, plenty of dishes to choose from; we shall definitely be back.
