Worst Place! Can’t cook a steak!! Asked for Medium Rare comes out almost welldone! Not once but twice!! Waited an hour for steaks to he overcooked again! Shane the manager useless imbecile! Good luck dealing with him hasn’t got a clue what he is doing or what food even is! Avoid save your money

Will never be heading back to the lonsdsle hotel. After having dinner there tonight and the way the venue manager spoke to us. We had a booking for 14 that was booked 2 weeks in advance but they had only set it for 13. After highlighting this the venue manager and mentioning we were all crammed in because also up against a pole he began to get is back up at my partner after she said it was wrong and he claimed she rude. He became aggressive saying you realise its busy because its mothers day. All we were making was a simple request and trying to make room for all our family. His attitude was disgusting towards and his tone was totally out of line. We have enjoyed going here In the past . Will we not be attending any more and that also goes for everyone who was with us. One man's bad attitude had cost you 14 customers.

We recently moved from Sydney and this has become our local. We've had multiple amazing meals here! It's a beautiful pub with a gorgeous pavilion style eatery out the back that we love to sit in. Every time we've come the staff have been amazing, so friendly and always ensure the kids have a fun activity book to play with. The food is AMAZING! The serves are large for the price and always taste beautiful. Pictured a few of our favourite dishes. We can't go past the chicken caesar salad, southern fried chicken burger and of course beef schnitzel! We'll be back!

We order grilled flatbread and prawn cocktail.
I'm not a fussy eater but when it came out it absoulety smelt old, it tasted old had to put so much lemon on it to cover the taste, the prawns where undercooked.

Went out for tea last night 7th July, the food was excellent and plenty of it. The Staff could not be faulted they were courteous and obliging and the meals came out really quickly after we had all ordered. Thank you for the service it was my 82nd Birthday and two of my Grand Children's birthday, so very special. Myself and Family will most definately recommend the The Lonny for a good night out

Went for lunch on New Year's eve with Family. Service was good, but the roast of the day that I had was barely warm and lacking flavour. The meal prices tend to be a little on the expensive side for a Pub meal as well. Apart from that it still was a good experience.

Went for lunch (31st Dec ) and sadly we found our meals average at the best ..
The oysters were so small and the kilpatrick sauce tasted like chilli ,way too spicy to be kilpatrick . .Main meals came out and the gravy"s we ordered and paid an extra $3 each for were like water in consistency ,the chips were way too salty and the meals were just luke warm in temp at best ...The dining room was very quiet so we cant understand why our meals were so bad today ..
Overall a very disappointing lunch experience ,we have dined here may times over the years and have never seen the food this sub standard ,shame the food isnt matching up to the new decor /reno

We have been coming here for years and have never had any issues. The new menu for this winter has had almost nothing for vegetarians to eat. A salad or a cheese pizza. When I asked the staff about this I was told that they needed to make cuts to the menu to stop food wastage. I suggested that they still needed to have vegetarian options and was told that there were not enough vegetarians to warrant them having any options. I would think remaining an inclusive restaurant would have been a consideration but unfortunately not.

We are a large group here and arrived soon after 12.00 and at 1.45 still waiting for our meal. Drinks are over priced. Won't be coming again. Might I add that when the meal finally arrived after 2.00 pm it was good. They obviously need more staff when they have a booking for 50 plus people. Unfortunately when this happens it is not good for the business as most people will tell several more people and in this case probably at least 200 or more may hear of this.

This place has the best food around the south area. Great choices, reasonably priced, decent sized serves, awesome staff, nice decor. The Cove Hotel needs to take note, we drive past that to go here. It's my favourite go to in the area.

The food was amazing.
The steak was perfectly.
The carbonara was awesome and great cheese flavour.
The Brushcetta is beautifully presented and I wiped the plate clean with the bread.
The salt and Pepper squid was fantastic it was moist, firm and melts in your mouth.
The fish was great. Fell apart in your mouth and perfect.
The staff were absolutely amazing and very friendly. It was welcoming to dine there. Great atmosphere.
I love the dining area with the big TV to keep up with the Cricket scores. 😎

The food used to be nice as reasonably priced at the Lonsdale, but attended for the first time since the upgrades and it was absolutely disgusting.
The Beef Snitzel was undercooked and bland and just full of fat
The Meat Lovers Gourmet pizza was absolutely disgusting and Soo greasy that my son could not even eat more than 2 pieces. He literally picked the slice off and the toppings slid straight off
And the prices have doubled and so therefore will not be going back at all 😠

One of the best pubs down south! Always great service, food range is great and big serves which is great as all the menu options we've tried are superb. Great range of drinks too. Highly recommended by our family 😁

Nice place nice staff but totally disappointed with my meal I had the thai green curry it was very watery and way too salty inedible ☹️

Had lunch at the Lonsdale hotel today, beautiful, nicest seafood i've had for a long time, staff very friendly and accommodating, lovely and warm near the fire.

Great meals but serves are too big for some of us Seniors. Prices are quite high for many meals. Some enterprising Seniors shared large platters - smart move.

extermely poor quality food , chewy steak, oily salt and paper squid and runny tasteless creamy prawns sauce. wouldn't recomend.

Dined here last night with a large number of friends. I had the salmon which was cooked to perfection and was delicious. The meals were all large and there were no complaints. The prices were a little on the high side. The staff were pleasant and the food was served hot and not too long a wait. Unfortunately there was another very large group with at least 10 children who were loud and running around the dining room with no control from the parents which spoiled our night a little but all in all I would go back again.

Compliments to the chef! Amazing food!! Extensive menu. Great, friendly service. I ordered the prawn & blue swimmer crab linguine which was superb, way better than other places I’ve tried. Generous servings and timely delivery to table. Open for all day dining is a bonus. A quiet place to meet with lots of seating choices.

Came for dinner tonight and could not complain. The meal was amazing. Fresh, crunchy and delicious.
The service fantastic and the place is looking amazing.
Found the guy working to be super efficient. He even noticed we needed a take away container without asking, just bought to our table when collecting plates.
Have to have take away, the meal was huge
10/10 we will be back!!

Best pub in the south for quality, reasonably priced meals that is also kid friendly. The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your experience.

Attended there 12.30 on 12/1/24 for a group lunch booking made 3 weeks prior. The dining room had plenty of empty tables despite our group of 50. All meal orders were in by 12.40. Only 3 meals had been served to our group in just under an hour later. No explanation, no offer of free drinks. My wife and I left in disgust at 2.00pm having obtained a cash refund from the dining room manager. At that stage, no other meals, other than the 3 brought out earlier, had been delivered to our group. Meanwhile, other patrons who had arrived after our group had ordered were being served their meals. It is my understanding meals were finally being served to our group at about 2.15 pm.........
If you as a licensee have X number of tables in your dining room it means you are saying you have the capability to be able to prepare and serve meals within a reasonable time of them being ordered. This is particularly the case when you were given 3 weeks notice of the numbers attending. If your circumstances had changed you should have had the common decency to say so on our arrival.
A delay of 95 minutes without any explanation is just an insult. Appalling lack of communication and customer service. Never again.

Absolutely amazing experience from the staff to the food it was top quality and to the bloke who gave us a free desert becuase the food was late absolute legend couldn't have asked for a better experience would rate 10 stars if i could
