Wonderful experience, barman very welcoming. We didn't eat but the menu looked great with awards for best steak etc. Craft beer as well as standard beer. Great sports bar. And very nice smoking area.

Went for lunch, they had $12 lunch specials. Food was good, nice size and tasty. Usual pub selections with a specials board as well. Staff and service was outstanding. Surrounds pleasant.

We had dinner at The Mark last night the food was very good . Had to wait a bit for our meal but it was worth it .Staff very friendly. Will definitely be going back

We had a tasty late lunch at The Mark Hotel on Sunday, their kitchen is open continuously from 12pm-8pm. It's a modern, open plan hotel with delicious meals at reasonable prices. I recommend the Tempura Fish with Chips and Salad for only $17 and The Mark Burger (which has the lot!) & chips for only $21
Mon-Thurs they have meal specials, Friday Happy Hour, Live Music and great cocktails, Try the Espresso Martini. Great for small or large groups. We'll be back

Was a regular diner there up until about 4 or 5 months ago. The food (and service) has gone right off!! The first time it wasn't good I thought it was just an off night so I gave it a second chance a few weeks later. Still disgusting. I ordered the prawn pasta both times and both times it wasn't good. The pasta was dry and undercooked and the prawns were really tough and overcooked. It tasted like they'd stuck it under the grill to keep it warm and it dried out. The cutlery was NOT cleaned properly and placed the wrong way up in the cutlery holder. When someone mentioned it to the kitchen staff they were extremely rude!! Won't go back in a hurry.

The staff are kind, quite during weekly lunch. Schnitzel is a bit small but the chips were perfect pepper sauce excellent. Definitely try coming back here for dinner in the future.

The food was great, salt and pepper squid was fresh not rubbery. Nice options for drinks! Service was okay. 3 stars because the manager had an awful attitude towards young people. Definitely don’t work there

✨👌 Really nice!! My first visit & I'm impressed ☺️ Finally somewhere I can go to dinner with friends & not have to yell to have a conversation! And the meals OMG!! Soooo good!! I had the barramundi with veggies - delish! Others at out table devoured the most sumptuous looking beef ribs I've ever seen; a mouth watering lamb pizza with a sweet potato sauce as the base and another enjoyed the pork bites entree👌😋 I saw a poster that on Fridays 4-6pm there is wine tasting with a free cheese board that I'm keen to check out too. This hotel is a little hidden gem💎

My wife and I waited 50 mins for our meals (chicken schnitzel and chicken wrap), when we received them the chips were cold and I turned my schnitzel over to find it was burnt AF as was my wifes.

Lunch at the Mark was really good. Comprehensive menu AND a lunchtime specials menu. The salt and pepper squid was great. Staff friendly and attentive

I had wonderful time with friends and family. Calamari was cooked perfectly, once your mouth took a nice chew into the crispy but tender squid it made you believe that calamari was a delicate not a throw out ‘meal’. My steak was cooked medium rare to a high standard with beautiful chat potatoes and with tender and crunchy brocolini. My partner and my friend’s partner had the salmon, the salmons skin was crispy but fish melted in their mouth, believe me I tried the salmon myself.
The other partner had meatballs, plenty of meatballs with the pasta to match, felt pretty authentic especially when I’ve spent time in Italy myself. Beautiful venue good beer with a variety of craft and domestic beers
Steve and Bronny couldn’t do enough for us. It’s great to find a place that provides a good feed but also a good service

Had dinner there last Thursday night. Got late so missed out on playing bingo. Steak special with Salad was perfect. Salt & Pepper Squid and Snitzel were also very good. Service was very good, staff very friendly

Great pub, friendly atmosphere, the restaurant has good value ten and fifteen dollar meals with specials on different days of the week. The tap beer is best in Newcastle with a different craft beer every month. The staff are always friendly. Overall one of the best spots in Newcastle without the inflated prices that are common these days. Highly recommended.

Great new renovations! The new menu is amazing and large selection of beer wine and spirits. Can't say enough about the friendly staff who go out of there way to make your visit extra special ,,, THE PLACE TO BE!

Great lunch....lambs fry & bacon in a delicious red wine gravy and boscaiola fettuccini washed down with an ice cold beer. Lovely staff. 😁🍺

Good pub food at reasonable prices - even their chicken schnitzel is delicious. Also, the new staff in the kitchen give great service. My daughter has a food allergy and they were very accommodating although at first we didn't think there were many options inn the menu. Then when a dining companion accidentally contaminated her meal they replaced it free of charge, although we made it clear it was not their fault at all and offered to pay.
We had some trouble here with former staff in the past, but these new guys do a great job!

For the price it was ok.. just ok.
Not clean at all, our sink was clogged and I wouldn’t dare try to lift the piece to understand what was clogging it
Our blind string was broken so we had to get on the very unstable chairs to climb up to reach for the blinds.
Our tv remote was held together by some duct tape which I’m sure had more bacteria than the bathroom.
Thankfully the bedsheets were clean.
The kitchenette was clean enough.
The smell of cigarettes and weed filled the air despite the “smoke free” signs on our room door.
The laundry area was overflowing with trash
I recommend the owner or management get the cleaners to do a deep clean on the rooms and use some automatic air fresheners

Fantastic service and spot on with their Covid safe measures. The $15 lunch menu servings were a generous size and also delicious. Also had the Lemon and Lime cheesecake which at $9.90 wasn't the cheapest dessert I have seen dining out, but tasted great. My friend commented how good the coffee was too.

Excellent pub great service and food was excellent,nothing is a problem for the staff in particular a girl named Emily what a wonderful asset to this establishment a very hard worker with a pleasant very friendly personality . I ordered a cocktail which wasn’t on the menu she googled the recipe and was happy to make it for me and didn’t even charge me for it as she wanted to see if she made it good 👍 Would definitely recommend and have no hesitation in visiting again if I’m ever in the area again .

Beautiful meal this evening. Thought we'd go "pub food" for a quick dinner. Both the Thai beef salad and the Thai squid salad were beautiful. Fresh, crisp salad, tasty dressing, well cooked beef and squid. After a great meal, a refreshing ale and with friendly, personable service we went home very satisfied.

A nice family style hotel, one for the whole family. They have a decent, bar area with plenty of TV around to catch all the sporting actions. And the bistro is very good value with a good variety of meal options. Was there for lunch, and the portions was very good.

Absolutely love The Mark Hotel. We attend weekly for the Trivia night and always arrive early to have dinner as well. The new menu is excellent. Well priced, generous meals that are beautifully cooked every time. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the entire atmosphere will keep us coming back every week.
