Cosy hotel & restaurant dating from 1887 offering live entertainment, casual meals and free Wi-Fi. Oopposite the Fremantle Markets, this cosy hotel and restaurant dates from 1887. It's an 8-minute walk from the Fremantle Prison museum and a 10-minute walk from Bathers Beach. Casual rooms with shared bathrooms feature free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, as well as ceiling fans, minifridges, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Upgraded rooms add air-conditioning and en suite bathrooms. Rooms are accessed by stairs only. Parking is free. Regular live entertainment is offered in the warm restaurant/bar, which serves casual meals, draught beers and wines, and features a terrace.

Went to the bar to order and just asked "havent been here for ages, so is it food and drinks with you or do i order food somewhere else' response was instant WELCOME BACK...and I can take your whole order....so I did feel welcome...hospitality 101 really isn't it.....and the food was excellent and beer was cold!!!!

Went to Norfolk for a beer and stayed there longer than expected. Not just a great range of beer but the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about the beers and area of Fremantle. A special thank you to Rosie she made our visit to Norfolk extra special a very friendly approachable person somebody that you can easily make friends with. Rosie went to great lengths to make our stay there very special….hence why we stayed longer than expected.
Highly recommend this pub for a great cold beer and good food.

Went for lunch and was most impressed. We had the smoked sharing platter, and everything was delicious. Service was excellent with kind and friendly staff. Superb selection of taps including three different hazy and two sours.

We had the best night celebrating my son’s 18th at the Northfolk tonight. Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful, and the food was generous and delicious. We are very lucky to have this gem of a pub in Freo! A complimentary drink for the 18 year old was also a kind touch. Thanks! !

We gathered in the Green room for a cocktail family luncheon of around 25 people. The staff were delightful and all the food delicious. We did a BYO for drinks at the nearby bar, and that worked well. We took a taxi, parking is tricky anywhere in Freo. We got a bus from just down the street to the Train station, so l recommend you use PT, or a cab to get you there.
Atmosphere was relaxed and happy.

Wandered in for a quiet drink and ended up staying for dinner. It was a warm afternoon and we settled into the outside alfresco seating. Good range of beers on tap, cocktails and wine list to choose from.
We ordered the charcoal grill mixed meat platter and sides which was ample for 2 people. All the cuts of meat were cooked beautifully with a real smoky flavour and the sides were generous. The kitchen. Menu has a great range of options to suit all.
Service staff are warm and friendly.
Great place to spend a lazy arvo enjoying a drink and outstanding pub food.

The best meal I've ev er eaten. The flavours were exquisite. Thank you Chef Lee. We ordered the Yellow Fin Tuna Poke Bowl and the Salt & Pepper squid both dishes were absolutely outstanding freshest ingredients and the finest of flavours blended to perfection. A beautifully balanced meal. Definitely rate it and can't wait to go back and try more specialty dishes.

Service was really good! Food was amazing as well. My family and I bought a lot 😅 bit too much food last night, but they did not disappoint! Definitely coming again! + thank you to the guy running the pizzas yesterday (25/02), he was really sweet to my mum and accommodated her really well. She really appreciated the great service from him!

Sat out in the beef garden for lunch, beautiful atmosphere & the food was great. Staff were all very friendly - Great spot to sit for lunch & enjoy the sun!

Party of four for lunch on a Saturday. Location great , outdoor seating area very nice. I ordered for myself and my wife, a pizza, a smoked brisket sandwich and a side of chips. I was informed that my order would be coming from 3 separate kitchens so may not all arrive together. The chips arrived, 10 minutes later the pizza arrived and by the time that everyone else at the table had virtually finished their meals, the brisket sandwich arrived.
How hard can it be?
I'd like to say that the sandwich was worth the wait but it wasn't. 1 slice of meat in a roll, packed with coleslaw etc. Not worth the asking price.
Everyone else enjoyed their meals but I felt cheated.
I won't b going back anytime soon.

My family and I spent one night in the clean and luxury hotel. The room was quiet and comfortable with some fancy facilities such as Nespresso and free drink vouchers, although the restaurant and bar was busy with live music. The hotel is in walking distance from the market and the seasides. The only important point is that accessibility of rooms is not as good as the aspects of the hotel. Sometimes I felt lost in the hotel corridors and behind closed doors.

I went to the Northfolk Hotel for a quiet drink on at Wednesday. Wow what a venue! Excellent service, and open till 12pm what a Gem of a spot. I want to give a particular shout out to one of the servers Meg who was outstanding and her knowledge and skills are a level above, great to see quality people at quality venues.

It was ok to locate and to arrive at the Norfolk Hotel there was plenty of tables and chairs and so if you book you will be excited when you arrive to sit down and arrange to place a meal each and soft drinks cuppa's to.

I took my Aunties out for drinks, there was a bartender named Ken? Kenny? He was a champ, he told me about some restaurants I can take my family too. 10/10 recommend.

Had a great meal, the meat sharing boards and sides were awesome, the brisket was a standout. We then went into the bar and were very surprised at the range of spirits available. We were looked after by Sam who had a brilliant knowledge of the gins, rums and Mezcal we were ordering. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the night extra special.

Greeted by friendly staff upon arrival and directed to sit anywhere we like and order at the bar. Easily found a table, perused the menu, and went to the bar. Bar staff were equally friendly, ordered a pizza and 2 pints. Margherita pizza with prosciutto was good, but I wish the base had been a bit thicker in the middle as it fell apart easily. Good music and nice atmosphere. Enjoyable visit

Great old Hotel vibes with a mental amount of great food drinks and friendly staff. ||Stayed upstairs, had a no fuss checkin with Legend Anthony, perfect clean room, no noise, Aircon pre cooled in the crib happy days will be back when have more time.||Highly recommend!!!

Great location in the heart of Fremantle, great range of food and beverages available. Great array of food provided in the beautiful setting of the "Green Room." Perfect location for functions, hosted stepdad's memorial.

Fantastic!! I will definitely come back here. Beautiful old building which has been nicely renovated. Spacious clean rooms, spotless clean sheets, towels and carpets. Friendly staff who even looked for a scale for us to weigh our luggage. Got refreshing free drinks at the bar and even my 2 year old was happy with his chips.
Easy access to everything and although on top of the noisy live bar you wouldn’t hear a thing in your cozy room. A thoughtful common area with coaches and a library. Can’t recommend more.

Enjoyed dinner here with my husband while we were visiting Freo on vacation. Ordered from their specials board and was not disappointed!! Some of the absolute best elevated pub food we have ever had.
Will certainly be back!
Bar/serving staff were friendly and helpful.
The ambience in the restaurant was also spectacular! Loved all the greenery.

Don't let the James Squire sign fool you.
This place dominates with locally made West Australian beer.
Fantastic beer selection.
I sometimes forget how nice this venue is.
It's such a cool spot that evolves every few years with upgrades that keep it on point with the local scene.
Food is interesting, they have a few separate kitchens, and while the selection is generally good. There is hardly any vegetarian food... Which is odd for a pub in Fremantle which should be supportive of more environmentally friendly food.
The Tofu Baos were super good though.
And the vegetarian pizza was absolutely bang on.
So they do vegetarian food really well, but I'd love a couple more options.
If you're a tourist, yeah definitely check it out.
If you're a local, you already come here anyway because it's great.

Bit of a shame. Came rated as a good place to eat. Ordered along with six others. Every one else's arrived just not mine. 3 inquiries later with 3 different staff and was basically accused of lying. Wanted to know if we'd actually ordered. Showed them the proof and offered a refund. What food did arrive was good. Service was ok.

Been there for years! Recently came back after 2 years on the road! Everything is lost! The mood, the environment! There use to be way happier people working! Now feels kinda sad!
Also pizza really really disappointing! What happened guys?

Arty what a legend! This place rocks, the bar staff know how to smash out on point margaritas! The boss man smashes the cocktails, with graceful style. Arty just smashes crowd control, keeping the patrons knocking back good times.

Amazing brisket! My favorite part about it. The fried chicken and black pepper squid are top notch, and the vegetables are fresh. The drink selection is abundant, and the staff are super friendly.
