Worst food I've had out in a long time! I've worked in hospitality over 15 yrs and I eat out a lot and this is not an understatement.
Food quality was so so bad and when we asked to return it as it was literally uneatable- the staff were very annoyed. The ONLY thing that was eatable and nicely cooked was the garlic bread.
The first bar staff was nice to find us a table so quickly but all other staff were rude. 1 star is too much.

We were here for Mother’s Day. No table service, no access to spoons for coffee, no sugar, had to ask for spoon for the Parfait.
I did ask for extra bacon instead of fennel sausage which they obliged. Chef was nice enough to do that.
Overall a 2. Burned toast, Loaded breakfast. Overly soft banana bread. Parfait was frozen fruit, Eggs Royale was good, little Peaky was ok. Soda water with lime was good.

We went for a family dinner on a Wednesday night, and the food we received was inedible. We have dined here often enough to be quite surprised by the quality of the food we received. The seafood platter seemed to be entirely made from frozen seafood packages, as far as we could tell. The seafood was still frozen and watery inside, the steak was so tough and chewy that my knife flew from one side of the table to the other, the pork belly was extremely dry, and even the hamburger patty was also super dry. The kids' meal nuggets were also tough and chewy, among other issues. The only enjoyable part of the night was our drinks from the bar.
We wanted to complain, but with little kids with us, it being a weekday, and the fact that we were starving, we reluctantly finished all of our meal and felt quite disappointed and sick. I have no idea if there's a new chef or if the same chef has become uncaring about what they serve their customers. Reading other reviews, it seems many other customers have also experienced the same issues with their food orders and were disappointed and dissatisfied with their dining experience. Either way, we are very disappointed. Considering what we received and what we paid, it is definitely overpriced. Because of this experience, it will be the last time we visit the Peakhurst Hotel.

We organised a birthday dinner here and were taken back by how many different rooms to this pub. While booking even though given the option to chose a room of you have never been you wont know how to differentiate. We were placed in the middle next to the main bar, the food was served super fast considering how busy the place was. Fairly priced both food and drinks were very good, my biggest problem was this pub was a carlton free zone and was told only tooheys products were available yet old northern bottles sat in the fridge untouched. Plenty of parking and a drive through bottle shop, this place was just lacking that local feeling we have grown to love from a night at the Pub.

We have been dining here for Mother's Day for the last 3 yrs . We have seen everything about this venue decline each year . Even down to the decorations at the door that lots of people use for Mother's Day photos ( including us ) - there used to be a wonderful display of flowers but this year was a pathetic couple of flowers . Despite booking - our table wasn't ready we were told to go to the sports bar and wait for about 10 mins then come back ( ie no one came to get us to tell us table was ready or where to go ) We waited 40 mins for food ( at the 20min mark we were told 6 more mins - it was 20 more minutes ) Then the so called 'naked ' chicken wings were cooked in a sauce that was so hot that it was barely edible instead of having the advertised sauce on the side - this had to be returned twice to get the advertised sauce. But the worst was my daughter who has severe intolerance to Gluten and Dairy ordered a GF pizza with no cheese . It was delivered to her with Parmasen on it - she took it back for them to make a new Pizza and they called her to pick it up in a few minutes . She could see the remnants of the cheese that had just been brushed off . People have to realise that although intolerance to certain foods isn't an anaphalactic reaction it can still make people very sick . We don't pay to eat out to get sick . Then I left the table for a few minutes ( everyone else was still at the table ) and staff decided to clear our table despite all the empty tables that needed clearing and took my leftovers in the take - away container . None of our glasses / bottles were cleared for our entire visit and bar staff were standing around chatting to each other. We won't be back

Very happy with our stay. The double glazed window has been very good to cut the noise from the bar to zero!! Very spacious rooms. Be definitely come back next time.

Took a family member there from a nearby nursing home for lunch about a month ago & was very impressed with the food, although a little expensive for pub food. The food was really fresh, flavoursome, excellently cooked & good-sized servings. We shared between the 3 of us, two entrees, one of bruschetta & the other of calamari, both delicious. Next, for mains, all 3 of us had the surf'n'turf. The meat was cooked to perfection, the dish we couldn't fault. HOWEVER, the one drawback & disappointment were the cocktails. They were grossly overpriced, very poor quality, put into tiny inappropriate glasses & made by an amateur, could not taste the alcohol for which we paid the pumped up prices. We felt ripped off because of this issue.

The steak sandwich was delicious and the portion great for a big guy like me. Best I've had in all honesty. The chips were very crispy and well seasoned. 10/10 well done to the kitchen.
My wife's mousakka was equally delicious and our friends were very happy with their parmis. I regularly eat parmis at CBD pubs and i wish they were as big or as good looking as these here.

The food was very disappointing.
We had the lamb rump and pork belly.
The lamb was raw and had bled on the plate. It was that raw I couldn't eat it. The potato croquettes were over salted
The pork belly had dry sections and the skin wasn’t crunchy.
When returning the plates to complain all I got from the lady on the customers side handing out the meals was sorry about that and turned her back on me.
First place I’ve been to where I couldn’t get a schooner of lemon lime bitters.
As a whole customer service left a lot to be desired

The food was excellent the service was also good ,location? The need to put up a big signe at the back making it more clear that this is the place. Overall It was great.

Sunday Afternoon it's busy I get it. It took 1hr to get a margarita pizza. When asked how long it would be cashier responded with " your ordered 1/2hr ago or will take at least 50mins"
Which wasn't told to me when ordering. Cashier's were having an argument amongst themselves about a particular order, however we are standing waiting to be served.EVENTUALLY got served with " what do you want?".
Your paying $10 for a bowl of chips with these kids being precious and forgetting where they are and what they are doing
The establishment probably won't care however, how annoying is it going out on a Sunday with some friends to have a bite and catch up only to throw your money to these ungrateful, disrespectful money sucking pub

Second time eating here and only went to accompany friends. I’m a local but after my last experience, I don’t even consider going we had a group of about about 10 people and were taken out to the back for seating. A lady sitting on her own was moved on even though there was plenty of room. . This time my medium ordered steak was cooked well done. Come on, it wasn’t even near medium and it’s not hard if they took pride in satisfying customers. Cooking a meat that much makes it dry and flavourless. A child ordered the cheeseburger and it was extra pink on the inside. A cut of meat can be cooked medium as the bacteria is on the outer layer, mince and sausages must be cooked through, especially if it’s served as akids meal. I was going to return the meat and burger but didn’t want to be there any longer. Again…. Plates were hot and no trays, I was offed a serviette. Twice since it opened Is enough to workout that it looks fancy but food/cooks are rubbish.

Quite out of town. It's more of a club and the restaurant is always full. The hotel rooms are upstairs and so can get noisy till late. There's a joint kitchen area for tea and coffee as well as microwave ànd toaster. Free WiFi. Free carpark.

Love my Monday nights, great food and awesome company. We are there every week for Quizzame Trivia which is an absolute blast. Trevor the host makes it entertaining and fun, lots of laughs is had by everyone. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, I look forward to going after a busy weekend.

Just a little more than a Motel, no reception, a few rooms above a restaurant/sprts bar, which is nice. Room quite small, no amenities, no gym/pool but clean. Position is far from city center.

I went for dinner lastnight and the place wasn’t too busy. I would have expected the food to be hotter and cooked to order. I had the chicken burger and it was warm and my partner had the peaky burger and it was dry and over cooked it seemed like it had been sitting there for a while.

Held my baby shower here over the weekend.
Food was delicious & event manager Mandy was fantastic. She went above & beyond for us. Very grateful for her assistance.

Had a function their on Saturday night. The food and service we received was outstanding. A big thank you to Jaime and the rest of the staff for all their assistance on the night which in turn allowed the night to run seamlessly.

Great spot 🤩 Pool tables and lots of screens to watch sport 🏀 Definitely a go 💯 Gets very busy so get there a little earlier before lunch or dinner 🍽️

Great place to go and have a few drinks with friends and to watch some sport and the pokies are alright also! I think they should change them every now and then! It's the same old machines over and over

Friday night dinner with my girls- ordered a chicken burger with chips $26 and a chicken schnitzel with chips and salad $29. Cut through the schnitzel and it was very pink. I called the waiter over and showed him and asked him politely to cook it a bit better. The manager returned with the same chicken and proceeded to give me a lesson on how well-cooked chicken should look. I thanked him for his commentary but replied that I would not eat it like that and he could keep it. HOW DISAPPOINTING! NO APOLOGIES, NO OFFER OF A REFUND, NOTHING REMOTELY COMFORTING TO A PAYING CUSTOMER!
On the upside, the chips and salad were good. BUT I WONT BE GOING BACK!

Food was not the best and for the price I did admittedly expect more. The pastas were incredibly oily especially the Asparagus Risotto. The Fettuccine Boscaiola definitely was not an office hit and ended up being discarded. The Cesar Salad had no taste and felt there should have been a lot more egg added to the salad.
The rib eye rump however went down a treat and the staff who ordered the steaks did enjoy them.
Personally I wouldn’t order food from here again but it is definitely a nice place to hang out with friends and colleagues

Raphael’s pan fried barramundi was superb.
The nicest I’ve ever eaten by far.
The flavours, techniques and textures were phenomenal, alongside visually pleasing to the eye.

Don’t bother coming here. Workers think it’s a 5 star restaurant whilst delivering 1 star service. Kitchen staff are quite rude and suggested that the food is taking longer than usual because my pregnant wife asked for her pizza to be cooked a little longer… I’m generally okay to wait for food if it’s good but 30 minutes for an average cold steak with bad sides isn’t worth it especially given the price. Better off somewhere else, you’ve been warned!

Beautiful bathroom! I wanted to take it home! Lovely service from the lady at the front desk, full escort to your room, I havent had that level of service since my gold coast BnB days. Recommended.
