Wilma or The Pearl Hotel? That might be the first question coming to whoever wants to visit this place for the first time.
Wilma bills itself as a progressive Asian barbeque restaurant and The Pearl an Asian-inspired cocktail and “snax” bar. The sisters – one formal and one casual – entered the Canberra dining scene in December 2021. So simply put, Wilma is a formal Asian BBQ restaurant whileas The pearl is a casual bar even though you can think of them as two names under one resaurant.
The vibe was great especially on weekeend nights. The food was more than palatable. It indeed has a lot of Chinese/Asian concepts in the dishes. As this is a bar, you expect the serving is on the small side.

We visit Canberra sooo many time but It’s the first time for us at The Pearl. Randomly walked-in and been serve by Mike. He’s so good with what he’s doing. We can feel that he has a passion and so friendly. Make us feel comfortable.. Definitely come back!! 💥

Went to The Pearl as it usually is a great spot for a few good drinks. The service from the Friday afternoon bar staff was abysmal. They had no interest in serving people, blatantly ignoring us while we were waiting to order. There were only a handful of people at the bar, yet the bar staff ignored us for a good 15 mins while they just chatted amongst themselves. It was just strange and awkward given normally this venue has great vibes and service!

We had a great night at the Pearl! We tasted a few different cocktails and loved them all. The oysters were amazing and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. Definitely recommend the Pearl for a night out.

Was served by the kindest staff so considerate and helpful - made a unique specific for my taste! An experience like no ther. The bar tender Charlie was great, if she’s working you can trust you’ll have a great night.

Visited with a large group, Jesse and Mike were fantastic! They were really helpful & patient, explaining the varieties of whiskies they had. The atmosphere was safe, welcoming and inclusive - we had a chill time. Recommend for a night of fun!

True to its name, The Pearl is just that, a pearl of Canberra.
From an excellent selection of drinks to the excellent bar staff ( shout out to Jesse and Dylan), the Pearl never ceases to impress.
10/10 must try

I had the pleasure of being served by Mike during my recent visit, and his exceptional service truly stood out. As a server, he went above and beyond to make my dining experience memorable and enjoyable.
Mike's attentiveness was remarkable. He anticipated my needs and ensured that I had everything I required throughout the meal. His friendly demeanor and approachability made me feel welcome and well taken care of from the moment I walked in.
What impressed me most was Mike's knowledge of the menu. He was well-versed in the dishes and drinks, providing insightful recommendations and answering all my questions with confidence. His genuine enthusiasm for the food and drinks on offer was contagious and added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Mike's attention to detail was evident in the way he presented the dishes. Each plate was served impeccably, and he took the time to explain the components of the dish, making the dining experience not only delicious but educational as well.
His ability to handle any requests or special dietary needs with ease demonstrated his professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction. Mike's dedication to ensuring that every guest had a fantastic dining experience was evident in his interactions and service.
In conclusion, I can confidently say that Mike is an asset to the establishment. His exceptional service as a server made my visit truly delightful. If you're looking for a server who goes the extra mile, Mike is the one to ask for.

The place was verry nice, neat, and cosy. Beers were great particularly their black lagger. And their staffs were friendly and courteous especialy Ty.

Such a lovely atmosphere with fantastic, friendly and jovial staff. Abbey was an absolute joy, gave us all the recommendations (which were 100% on point - for veg veg vegetarians) and looked after us more than any other host I’ve had in my silly anoint of years going out and about - boss person: give this lady a raise/promotion!!!!. The food and drinks were amazing. 10/10 will be back here again!

Slow service. We came first but the staff decided to serve the people that came after us.

Jesse…what can I say. Since our eyes met we have been inseparable. The mango weis you laid upon my grip set in motion an everlasting friendship. Thank you for everything you do. If you do nothing else in your sad and monotonous life, come and drink a cocktail at “the pearl”. Mashallah

I went to the Pearl with my girlfriends for a last minute dinner. Charlie provided excellent table service and had great knowledge of the menu. She recommended some house and classic cocktails all of which were delicious. Thanks to all the staff!!

I went to the pearl for an impromptu dinner with my parents. I was able to be seated in the bar. Charlie went above and beyond in her service, ensuring that we ordered enough food and recommending cocktails. 100% would recommend!

I was bummed when kokomos closed down as I loved their food, even though everyone only went there for the cocktails. Glad to see the venue has kept the quality and high level of service, though pricier. Loved it all - the Yuzu cocktail, chicken salad, market fish, wagyu and pork belly.

Great venue for the work Xmas party! Food service was great - catered platters with great portion sizes, drinks service at the main bar however was very slow. And a surcharge on the drinks menu for the weekend was a surprise. Thank you Kyle for hosting us!

Absolutely blown away by the food, service and cocktails. Came here for dinner in the evening, and the staff were amazing, catering to us and our young son and making sure we were all looked after. The food was delicious too, and couldn't fault it at all, and it arrived promptly even though they were busy. Special thanks to Evie who absolutely smashed it with absolutely fantastic service.

Abbey’s personal table service was the best! She was friendly and engaging and a lot of fun. The bespoke coconut margs were delicious and the bar staff were also heaps of fun. It was lovely to be somewhere where the staff engage with you and have a conversation. I love the Pearl!!
