We go here occasionally for a quick $13 steak for lunch as it is close. Last time we went they had sold out of steak so this time we rang ahead and they said they had ample - turn up and no steak. Went to Harbourview instead - cost us more - better quality steak with a view and way worth it. Hate poor communication and the place is depressing anyways. 🤷‍♀️

We enjoyed our meal here. Snitzel, lamb shanks and 3 meat burger were all very tasty. Service was good and staff were lovely. As we weren't locals we asked directions and they were happily given by a staff member. Would go there again when we are in Newcastle

Was waiting on bus connection after train journey. Lunchtime and saw this was only 7 minutes away. Had luggage walked in. Staff friendly. Ordered from the days blackboard special. I chose chicken snitty. I elected mash veggies and gravy instead of fries. Had a lemon lime and bitters. The snitty came quickly. It was like having a good home cooked meal. The LLB was the best I've had in years. It was actually tasty. They didn't try to rush me and I enjoyed a leisurely meal and rested in the warmth before going for my bus. Sunday so began to fill up with the Sunday sports bar watchers. Recommend for a good pub meal. Thanks I'll be back when returning from my next o/s trip and on my way home.

Upon arrival you are greeted by a wonderful duty manager full of Cheers and eager to help you. The rooms are clean and comfortable the shared bathroom facilities was clean the shower and water pressure are excellent. Beds are comfortable, kitchen facilities are also available for your convenience. Down stairs is a fully licensed restaurant and bar and pokies. The quality food is outstanding, service of exceptional calibre. All in all I'd go back and stay again

The venue was quite run down, and messy inside, especially on the tables which sat for ages before being cleaned. There were lots of people, which meant that we had to wait over an hour for our food (which we are generally OK with, but this was longer than they had told us to expect). They had run out of some of the basics like kids chicken nuggets, which was hard to understand, that kind of thing should have a big stock in the freezer. When the meals did come, they were presented well, but they all had something missing on them - it very much presented itself like "we're busy, we'll give them 90% and that's close enough" - ie bruschetta was missing the feta cheese (which they supplied when we queried it), beef burger was missing the beetroot, missing sauces on the kids meals, etc. Simply not good enough - we won't be back.

The room smelt like wet socks, the bed was on a lean so you rolled to one side. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, you share it with other rooms and it's not cleaned regularly at all.

The kitchen has changed hands & the wait to receive your food was well over an hour. Then no one person at our table liked their meal. Very over priced & disgusting food. Disappointed big time.

Really disappointing experience. Ordered a medium steak with salad only, but get a piece of well-done extremely chewy beef and vegetable with no dressing at all and heaps of chips. They can't even meet my basic requirements.

Place doesn’t have a very good feel at all. Two of the staff were foreigners who said they couldn’t pull a beer and we had to wait for an Aussie bloke to do it when he returned from somewhere ? Why are you working in a pub then if you can’t pull a beer ? It’s not rocket science ! Actually I did hear that it’s owned by Nepalese? !

Paid $138 for a king size room with ensuite, it did not look like the room we had in the pictures, the singles room was same size, the doona was stained a horrible yellow colour, the drain in the bathroom smelt really bad like it had never been cleaned. For the price we paid we are not happy. Will definitely not be staying here again. Apart from that... The pub itself is a great venue that my hubby and I are calling our new local... Great relaxing atmosphere and great bar staff

Nice small Aussie Pub with a more intimate atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and super helpful. Jenny in the kitchen is lovely and the meals are delicious and good value. Love the potato chips.

Nice food, I got the steak and it was amazing. Melt in your mouth. The staff are friendly too. The decor might need a bit of attention but it’s nice nonetheless. Good variety of beer. I don’t have anything else to add.

My local pub, convent spot to have a quick beer and nice meal. They have some really good specials and always impress with the portions. There is a really good games zone for the kids out the back with free arcade machines and all sorts of other bits and pieces to keep then amused.

I work in Broadmeadow and the Premier Hotel Pub is right behind where I work. I frequently visit the pub to have their cheeseburger lunch special with fries. Absolute BANGER, the fries are spiced so freakin well and they are PERFECTLY crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. There is not enough emphasis in the WORLD to really put across how out of this world this meal is. HIGHLY, I mean HIGHLY recommend this joint. 👌🏼

It was quiet. Meal was tasty. Charged a different price for drinks, than was on the menu. Should have asked why but didn't. Also, there was a surcharge for any credit card transaction. Disappointing as contactless purchasing is being encouraged but this was not encouraging. So, take your cash for a tasty meal.

Had the scotch which was cooked to perfection, complements to the chef 👌👌 Customer service by older floor staff in the bistro was A+ as we were asked several times if we needed anything during our meal. Four star review today with a suggestion for improvement being : the older friendly staff should train the younger bar staff customer service as we almost left within minutes of walking in due to no engagement or friendly greeting upon entry and ordering drinks.

Great accommodation great price very clean and modern everything you need for an overnight visit or even a longer stay. Bathroom may be shared but it is clean and modern your room comes with towels and toiletries. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And the meals in the pub are great and at a good price. Also as a woman travelling alone I felt safe here. Oh and if your coming in by train very close to the station.
