Yummy lunch, clean tables and friendly staff. My rump steak was very tough but when I mentioned it to the lovely waitress it was replaced, no questions asked. The next one was perfect. Great customer service and looking forward to dining there again. Great customer service!

Wonderful atmosphere, the live music is fantastic. It’s a ‘must do’ in anyone’s Airlie Beach trip. The food is delicious with generous proportions. The wings were amazing and the steak was to die for. I was very impressed with their extensive range of wine/ champagne/ cocktail & beer. I also noticed how clean and tidy the tables were. Staff are helpful and friendly. Perfect venue if hubby also likes to watch a game or two like mine does.

We ordered the lamb Souvlaki, fish and chips, Parma and the vegan bowl. The food is average and overpriced for what it is.
Vegan option was good, it was better than the other meals. Not a place I will be running back to anytime soon.

Waited 45 min for a medium rare rump steak. You can judge from the picture. Eat somewhere else. Good for drinks with live music.

Update 3 years later- Fantastic, fantastic! Cannot fault this place from the service to the food. Massive lunch crowd from the cruise ship handled perfectly.
Food was great! Seafood was awesome- fresh bugs and oysters. Nice atmosphere.

Tried to politely approach the staff about a $41 steak that was supposed to be med/rare but came out charcoal black. Waiter argued that he thinks it’s fine and refused a refund.. I eat steak out at least once a week, I know a med/rare. Gave us a voucher instead? We aren’t even from here to use it and if we were we wouldn’t want eat here again..? Just give the money back or at the least don’t be so rude about it.

This place is IMPRESSIVE to say the least. Lucky for us it wasn't busy season. The staff were super friendly and the selection of drinks is OFF the charts ! Like just WOW. Could defo see any game grand finals here etc be an electric atmosphere. Reallly liked this place. Will go again when next in town.

This establishment is quite expansive, encompassing a hotel, pub, Fish D'vine, tobacco and bottle shop.
It is notable for its cleanliness and maintenance. The staff diligently clean the outdoor seating area every morning, leaving it looking fresh and inviting.
Speaking of food, I have dined here twice for lunch. The BBQ chicken pizza topped with pineapple (appropriate for our Queensland location) is a fantastic combination.
They have their own BBQ smoker for cooking their meat. This led me to try their lamb salad, which was my next choice. The lamb was tender and flavourful.
It is a wonderful spot to unwind on a sunny afternoon, especially after an active day out on the water.

The food and place is great. Staff is friendly and well mannered. I enjoyed listening to the band, they provided excellent music.

The atmosphere was great especially the outdoor area, staff and service was good but food was terrible. The Parma looks like one of those frozen meals, the rump and ribs was over done and we could barely cut the meat with a steak knife. Half the food was left on the plate. For the prices your paying for the quality of food I wouldn’t recommend.

Okay. Let's start with the food. The Pan Fried Salmon I dined on was okay. The skin was crispy, the flesh was tender and the mash it sat upon did the spud world proud. Pricewise though, it wasn't worth the $45 I had to pay for it. Especially as I could get the same meal a few kms down the road for $10 less with no drop in quality.
However, the dining experience was ruined by the STUPIDLY loud music that is constantly being played in every corner of this place. There are no quiet areas to sit and dine in, so you have to shout to be heard. That is not conducive for a relaxing dining experience. My friend and I literally had to shout our conversations out, which we very quickly gave up on as it's not sustainable. We just raced our food down in order to get out of an environment that was more nightclub than restaurant.
This place just tries too hard to be too many things, and does none of them very well. Music fit for a nightclub and pricey cuisine are not good bedfellows.
If you're after a relaxing dining experience, don't dine here.

My partner and I are on holidays and decided to grab dinner at the pub. We had high hopes and were prepared to treat ourselves to a nice/pricey dinner. Unfortunately we were really disappointed with our meals. We got the buttermilk chicken tenders as an entree, which was like boiled soggy chicken with three pieces of 4 leaf mix from Coles. I was super excited for the calamari. Unfortunately this was also soggy on the outside and cold in the middle… Had two pieces before I decided not to eat it because I was honestly scared I could get sick. My boyfriend insisted on the loaded fries as a side. The cheese flavour reminded me of American yellow cheese from the pump bottles, and the bacon was really chewy with an intense Smokey flavour. However the drinks were great (cocktails are $27…) and there was live music.

Loved it. Celebrated a birthday here. It was great. Live music on acoustic night was excellent. Food portions are huge.

Lively atmosphere, Steak n Ribs was more than enough for two, ordered medium rare steak (we shared) the ribs fell off the bone DELICIOUS and the chip's mmmmmm.yummy

If its your first time at Aurley Beach your not going to miss The Pub. End of the main drag with many tables inside and outside. GREAT place for a relaxing drink, great atmosphere, cold beer, goid food and live music at popular times. It is very modern, clean and has a vibrant feel. My group preferred the high tables outside for the ambience and view to the beach under the trees. You'll see what I mean when your there. Being a tourist dependant town this place can be packed, especially at popular times. The food was good with a snack menu operating all the time as well as a noon onwards menu which is more restaurant type bigger meals and some include the buffet. The meals that include the buffet are value. My sweet tooth was satisfied with a bowl of ice cream topped with heaps of soft jube lollies. There is an extensive bar with quick bar service. Easy to order food which was prepared timely and delivered professionally by staff. The staff were friendly and engaging. The food was good size portions, reasonably priced and tasty. We visited The Pub several times on our visit. Lots of eating premises nearby but I bet you end up visiting here at least a couple of time if you stay at Airley Beach. Can highly recommend knowing you'll have a good time having a quiet relaxing drink out the front watching the world pass by. Plus you be on holidays.....how do I know that....because your at Airley Beach.

If I could give it a 0 out of 5, I would. I ordered the Morton Bay Bugs in garlic. The bugs were slightly dry, and the sauce was just oil with garlic. It did not match the description, in my opinion. I accepted that I was disappointed with my meal, which was way overpriced. We define else seemed happy with their meals. We were disappointed with the buffet selection of veggies salads and deserts. A drink of coke cost $8.50, very overpriced.
Later that night I woke up feeling very unwell. I had food poisoning, which caused me to vomit many times until it was all gone. I will never go back there.

Had three visits to The Pub for dinner on our holiday...
Every meal was amazing,, the quality, quantity and atmosphere were top notch. Well done to the front end staff who managed our complicated orders... Loved the Steak and Ribs;meat lovers pizza, salad bar and chicken wings.
We also loved the Shania Twain tribute show, great sound, and the music was amazing..

Had dinner last night (Monday). Menu has so much variety. I got the salmon and it was awesome. Partner got the 300gm rump and enjoyed it. Pizza was nice to take away. We also had the bonus of the buffet. Atmosphere and venue are great and has everything.

Had a very uninspiring experience here - no ales on tap (despite having multiple taps), slow service, high prices and mediocre food.
Paid $38 for a chicken parmigiana (yes, $38 for a parmy) that was entitled “the big bird” - some time later a small piece of relatively dry crumbed chicken arrived with a handful of chips on the side…

Great night with live music.
We set by the bar and the bartenders were super friendly.
The food was average, like pub food. We had the ribs and the calamari which gave us access to the buffet - which was lovely for he ice cream at the end.
For the food it's a 4, but for some chilled night with drinks I'd recommend it.

The worst food in Airlie Beach. We order Chicken schnitzel ($27), fish of the day (Barra) (approx $35) and vego spring rolls ($22) . We have not experienced such disappointment in the food before in our life. Oily, spongy and what not. Please see below photos and make a decision. We should have listened to the people who were saying us not to go there to eat.

Boom! Smashed it! Great variety of food to choose from. With the option of the buffet with most meals you will not leave hungry and you definitely get value for your money. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Had a great night!

As part of my Whitsunday Adventure I was keen to get started on some holiday beers. It was a Good Friday and it felt like Airlie was gonna be a sleepy hollow BUT thankfully I heard some high jinx (laughter and music) and dropped into the busiest place in Airlie this day. It was good craic!
There is some archaic law of having to have food with alcohol on a Good Friday in QLD - but these guys weren't forcing that law down my throat (like other places) ... and I was gonna have something to eat anyway, so no wuckers!
Anyhoo, I was lucky to find a place near the bar (post moving a chair from another table) - bar staff were cool with this and it ended up a great afternoon.
Got into the beers and cocktails - and the band 'Geed Up' were a riot. Apparently, The Pub (which is part of the Airlie Beach Hotel) gets really good acts in and these guys and girl delivered! They did have a strange predeliction of taking their shirts of to show their ripped rigs heh heh - almost got Magic Mike on us - but all good fun!
Overall, it was really good- security were cool, bar staff friendly and the Louisiana Chicken Wings pretty good too.

Arrived at Pub at 1145am to eat lunch and was told that there was only a snack menu until middday. Went back at midday to order food and the queue was 40 deep to order lunch. Terrific pub run by bafoons. Never will I be walking in these doors again take your patronage elsewhere where people appreciate your business and some prior planning has been attempted!

Absolutely outstanding food, the location was great. We had the rump steak cooked exactly to order, pork belly pizza which was massive and salt and pepper calamari which was cooked to perfection just melts in your mouth. The buffet is a nice bonus for some salad or something sweet for dessert. Great place for a feed and few lunchtime beers.
