What a wonderful Hotel!
Food servings were not only a decent size- you wont leave hungry at all. !Reasonable prices, amazing & friendly staff. Fantastic atmosphere. Such a nice vibe. Will be returning next time I'm in Bendigo.

Went here on a Friday night, fair few people in but they got a us a table quickly. Super nice staff. Nice pub.
We had the salmon and the plum Parma.
The salmon was a nice dish but fish was overcooked.
The plum Parma was a ok dish but the snitzel itself was very small and only about 2mm thick of chicken, one of the smallest I have ever been served. It was also just warm when it came out.

We celebrated our wedding at The Rifle in August and had a wonderful time. Leanne and her crew were fantastic at organising and setting things up and Sunday who coordinated everything on the day was fantastic. We all enjoyed our meals and the service was excellent. Thank you all so much - Stephanie and Christian 🇦🇺 🇩🇪

Waiter was rude and seemingly unhappy to do the bare minimum. Out of the six of us I was the only one happy with my meal. Meals took 45-1hr to come out with no communication from the staff.

Very tasty parma with thick cut chips. Kids menu was also great, my boys enjoyed the fish and chips.
Wife enjoyed the calamari dish.
Will come again when back in Bendigo

Up for the day in Bendigo and decide for a light lunch in this Pub. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommended.

Top spot for a social catch-up or a meal. Excellent staff and atmosphere were fantastic. I enjoyed the aranchini balls and a Moscow Mule mocktail, which I highly enjoyed and recommended. I also love the area where it is situated close to the art centre and museum.

The waiters were amazing food was fast and very very tasty
Steak was huge and spot on!!!!!

The staff were great but the food was a little underwhelming.. I had the vegetarian lasagne with a friend who had the same & we both felt it was pretty average. The boys had burgers & weren't overly impressed. Desserts were ok. I won't be in a hurry to eat here again though, especially when there are so many other quality eateries in town

The Caesar salad was not as good as I’ve had else where. The chicken was just cooked but pretty flavorless. The serving size was small.
The steak was really good and the chips were very crispy.

I've had extremely good service here and average service. I've had meals come out quickly and others take forever. Overall it is a good pub serving good pub grub with many different areas / spaces to enjoy.

It was ok, service was prompt, the vibe was busy but then might be Ive got used to been in lockdown 😆 , if anything ( this is why my 4 star rating) I expected my wife's mocktail served in a nicer glass🍹 and not just in a common pub glass with no catching eye detail 🍓other than that keep the good work up😉

It is a nice place to meet friends and family, very accommodating and a good variety of drinks, and has many non alcoholic options also.
Good salads, the beetroot and fig one was on point.
Service is prompt and friendly.

Held out Engagement party upstairs there and it was amazing! The staff were amazing and so very accommodating. We had about 100 and had the entire top floor to ourselves and got compliment after compliment on how beautiful it is up there!

Great hotel, the atmosphere was so warm and inviting, we ordered the vegan pizza, and it was chockers full of veggies , There was a heap of staff on the floor , and they all had a genuine smile on their faces, it was apparent that the Rifle was a very good place to work., well done we will be back.

Food was great the lady who served us was great but the lad who grabbed all the water glasses off our table told his coworker he wanted us to leave as he went around the corner. I was so looking forward to coming back as the portions are huge but when you have entitled brats working there I'll go somewhere else!

First pub I've tried in Bendigo and it didn't disappoint. It was rather busy given it was Friday night but the foods were served quite promptly. Both dishes were generous in portions and tasted nice. The staff members were also friendly and added to the good vibe of the place. I'd make a reservation next time, however, to secure a table.

Excellent, professional service and a diverse Menue made this an amazing experience.

Decent outside courtyard for an afternoon session. Let down slightly by the very odd music choices. Nothing but hours of weird war themed songs. Each to their own I suppose. It was a pleasant afternoon regardless.

Booked a week ago but had a small table for 2 pushed in a corner. Got sick of waiting for table service to order our meal so went to the bar after that a different waitress asked if we were ready to order. Told her we just had. We hadn't finished our entree and they brought out the mains. I had the Veggie burger not great no sauce with the chips.

Being a school night I thought yee olde Bendigo would be a bit quiet, but not at the RBH.
I was at the Visitor Centre and they recommended this place and Im glad they did.
I did walk in with Zip and they weren't too sure if he was allowed, but ultimately we got a pew in the corner and everything went, pretty much, tickety boo!
I went the crumbed lamb cutlets, why wouldn't you 😁 and before I could pop a punt on the next race to jump - it was in front of me. It was pretty good, just a tad dry - but overall a nice pub meal!
It was lively - and many a different punter was there - whether in groups, couples or just friends enjoying a drink and meal - it's seems it's the place to be.
Hmm, unsure, but it must have some Elvis connection as quite a few pickies of him up - but I wasn't 'in the ghetto' 🤣.
Oh, a bit random but have popped in a photo that I found when Googling it - thought it was pretty amazing to see what it used to be like. Ya welcome heh heh

Beautiful hotel and restaurant, nicely decorated and very clean. Food is good and authentic. Good atmosphere, good parking space and outdoor seats.

A very good selection of beer and cider is to be had here. The food menu has a good variety (we tried the vegetarian gnocchi and gnocchi carbonara- both 5/5). There's plenty of seating, and the service was excellent. Give this pub a go!

Always been a great pub. Great meals and good service. The steak was the best I've had at a pub in a long time.

Actually blown away. Totally different from my experience a few years ago. Selection of meals was superb, service was friendly and professional. The meals for our large group arrived timely and hot. The only minor quibble is the large room we were in was an echo chamber so conversation was not easy. Maybe a few wall hangings to suppress the echoes. A friend had an open souvlaki and the lamb was a well cooked backstrap! We will come back for sure. Again, totally pleasantly pleased

A bustling pub but was quickly attended to and a table was cleared for us . Food was very nice , and came quite quick - it's a reasonably noisy venue close to the bar , but obviously still very popular.
