What a great find. We parked our van for the night & walked up to the pub for a drink, watch the footy & have dinner.
The staff were cheerful, friendly & welcoming & the locals made us feel quite at home.
The generous sized, ‘home cooked’ style of food was very tasty & wait time was minimal- well done kitchen staff.

We thought it important to leave a review of our visit to the Royal Hotel Tiaro, as locals to the area, it’s easy to overlook things and completely miss out on others.
It would seem that we were very close to missing out on this experience.
We spent an hour in the main bar waiting for the kitchen to open, the bar was clean, tidy and staffed with lovely people, our beers were cold and poured well, we felt comfortable and respected.
After the kitchen opened we ventured into the very cute and quaint dining room to order our dinner.
Our server was helpful and accommodating, we ordered almost $300 worth of meals and starters. The timing, presentation and quality of everything we ordered was perfect. Good old fashioned “home” made EVERYTHING.
Thank you all so very much for making our New Year’s Day food hunt a wonderful experience. You will be seeing us again and we WILL be sharing with our customers, friends and family.

We stayed overnight at stopover van park and went to Hotel for dinner. Wow ordered nachos the best we’ve ever had. Thanks to the chef Kev for fabulous meal, great value and generous serve. We always stop there on our travels and order nachos, and enjoy talking to Kev and his crew.

Went here for dinner. We sat ourselves, helped ourselves to the menu, waited in front of the kitchen until someone saw us a young female staff. The food we ordered were generous servings, fresh salad and actually delicious.
One comment, could do better with actual customer service like welcoming people maybe or making sure the orders were satisfactory and not make customers wait by the window and help themselves.
It is a perfect venue as it is metres away from the rv place.

Went for dinner last Friday night and all our meals were great, Tony the chef cooks my husbands steak perfectly as he is very particular how he likes it cooked
Me and a friend had the fish ,chips and salad and as always were great

Well i like to support the local bottle-o even if i can get cheaper beer in town. If you want to discriminate your loyal customers over their vaccine status then we will buy in bulk from the drivethrough in Marybourough. 9 beer drinking adults live on my property we will take our business somewhere else

Very clean & tidy pub. Great service. The meals are incredibly flavourful and extremely generous in size that's for certain.

Used to high quality kitchens, stopping by this pub was one of the best choice during my road trip. Free camping area next to this pub, serving good quality pub food and Felicity at the counter was the bonus of the night. Good on you little one you'll go far! Very impressed, thank you!

Typical rural pub. Efficient and fast restaurant service, generous portions. Well supported by locals.

The lady from the kitchen was so nice. She bought my pizza out to me as l had my furbaby with me and even let me pay out front.

Stopped in on way home from Rocky to Sunny Coast. Wasn't expecting a lot at 6pm on a Sunday. Had a great meal. Fish was delicious, parmi great and portions very generous, especially the nuggets and chips.

Stopped in for lunch at the Royal and was a little past 2pm but the new kitchen staff were only too happy to cook me a feed. When the food came out and i was super impressed with the quality and portion. I recommend this stop, Kim you amazed me and i look forward to stopping in the next time i am going through on the Hwy. 5 Stars well deserved!

Staff friendly and the service was good. The cook, unfortunately has no idea how to cook. Chicken Parm was inedible. 1st came out undercooked. The cook offered to make another which came out overcooked and the crumb was so black all I could taste was charcoal. We got there right on 12noon, so no excuse for rushing. Would not recommend.

One of the worst t bones I've had , one side was well done , other was blue . Waited 30 mins for sons gravy after asking 3 different staff . Beer was good tho 🍻

Nice cold beer served in the Bar, then on through to the Dining Room, serving meals 5-8pm, had a very nice steak and kidney pie served with french fries. Nice friendly staff serving cold beer and lovely meals. Worth dropping bye.
I will of course come back.

Have been here for dinner twice in the last month. 1st was an overcooked chicken schnitzel the size of a budgie and the 2nd was the worst T-bone steak I've ever had. It was like it was cooked in a microwave then thrown on the grill for 30seconds. Plain boiled veg both times. Would not recommend and won't be going back again.

Had a great meal. More than I could eat. Definitely no skimping on quantity or quality either. Friendly service. Was able to do it as takeaway. Would highly recommend.

Good ol country pub. The rump steak and pastas are absolutely incredible, and the mushroom gravy is possibly the best I have ever had. Nice atmosphere, super friendly people. Thanks for a great feed guys.

Delicious snapper, popped in for a beer and some lunch as we were passing through. Very fresh salad and yummy fries. Would come here again, expectations weren't high so I was pleasantly surprised.

Been here a couple of times for food. The menu is straight forward yet diverse with the selection of steaks, schnitzels and more. All of the food I've had here has been satisfactory and filling. The lady (Deb) who takes my order every time I come is excellent and has such a wonderful personality, she's also very helpful with helping you chose your food when you can't decide. I highly recommend this pub if you're passing through Tiaro on the highway during lunch or dinner time.

Awesome service, friendly staff. I’m a local and a massive fan of there weekly specials in the kitchen. Definitely worth stopping in for a feed or just a couple drinks and a sneaky slap on the pokies

A perfect lunch at a rural pub, great breeze, excellent food, friendly staff. The Royal Hotel is well worth the visit.
