We went to the Rutherford Hotel at 11:45am for some lunch, there was just the 2 of us, there was only roughly 6 people in the restaurant at this stage maybe less.
We ordered our meals at 11:50am it took a few minutes to even get served. We sat down and we waited till 12:45pm to get our meals, almost an hour. There were 5 people working in the kitchen. The meals were ok, nothing flash. We won’t be back.

We went for my Grandsons birthday. The staff are so good with him, he is autistic and can be a bit loud, but they always stop and chat with him. Very friendly staff and food is worth repeat visits.

We found a new favourite. (Don’t tell anyone about the Sweet Chili Prawn Skewers). Superb!!

We absolutely love 'The Ruddo'. Give the mega schnitzel a go if you dare. I tried but failed miserably to finish it. Fantastic value at $30.00 and so delicious. All other meals are fantastic too. We've never had a bad one. You can't (and shouldn't) go past this fantastic Hotel. Enjoy!

Typical pub style thing but they just released an amazing Vegan menu which is going to be changing from what I understand. We had a delicious meal the other night, they cater really well to Vegans and the chef who happens to be vegan as far as I'm aware is a lovely dude. Go here and support change.

Typical pub menu with popular meals like, burgers, snitty with a choice of toppers or lamb cutlets. The service is great even on a busy thursday night. The food was ok, nothing great but nothing bad either.
Looking forward to seeing the renovation complete with a warm cosy atmosphere

They seemed under-staffed, but the girls who served us, as well as the cooks made our food In a timely manner were polite and always smiling, food tasting amazing and the atmosphere was great. Will come again and would recommend.

The two piece band "dynamite" troy and Aaron Was fantastic singing great songs from his repertoire of hundreds to choose from. Michaela served us most professionally catering to our small whim.

The food was amazing. Highly recommend the Sizzling Chillie Prawns with rice. It actually sizzled when it arrived at the table and had a good kick to it. Also the staff were very friendly and the service was great. The barman remembered our drinks order after the first round. Will definitely go back there again.

The lovely lady (sorry I didn’t get your name) that took my order was the most lovely lady. She did everything to help me out with our dietary requirements and honestly was the best service.

Terrific $15 steaks, good value, tasty and served quickly. Nice (but surprising) that it wasn't crowded with people.

Staff are the highlight here, always friendly, attentive and plenty of them. Food is great, wait time is short, beer is cold, prices are fair especially for the food.

Really nice pub with straightforward food, cheap prices and generous portions. The dessert and chef specials were really nice. Roast of the day on Sundays is excellent for groups and families. Can't wait till I go back.

Pepper sauce is always the best at the Rutherford Hotel. We ordered Chicken Snitzel with chips and salad + Pepper Sauce.. I've never finished my meal when i dine out, but i did tonight. Beef Nachos is also delicious. Staff was always there to ask if everything was good.

Not one to right bad reviews, however this place is a sweat box! The Airconditioning has been broken for months now and the owners refuse to fix it. In addition, the place is in need of major renovations, however the owner again would rather just waste money on buying other pubs and putting money into them. Time to sell up and get someone in there who doesn't neglect the place.

Netty. Was. Here. I was absolutely delighted at the $14 Midweek Lunch Specials! What a great selection of meals for the ABSOLUTE cheapest price you will find in any pub restaurant.
My meal wasn’t without minor issues which personally I wasn’t concerned; what was a stand out for me is the incredible staff member who approached me to check on how my meal was going.
I wasn’t going to say anything but the friendly, open and approachable lady made my meal and quite possibly my day.
She was so open to suggestions, willing to compensate or replace for my fairly minor inconvenience. What a committed staff member who needs to be recognised for doing such a good job!
I had the Salmon Patties; with a bit of tweaking this can become a favourite for all of those that have a special memory or person connected to such an old school type dish.
I’ll be back.. absolutely! I’ll be here to taste test the whole menu and at these prices, I think I’ll be able to afford to bring my whole family.

Lunch time $12 specials, the schnitzel and wrap was really good and large serves with complimentary sauce. the barramundi was pretty average. The service though was amazing especially for a pub, greeted when we came in and shown the specials and they brought out an ice cream for the kids. Had a great lunch overall we will be back

Edit: Rutherford Hotel now has new owners. No longer has vegan menu. That chef has now moved to the Kent Hotel in Hamilton.

I have never done a bad review. If I don’t like a meal I normally keep it to myself and just don’t go back. Not today. The lamb cutlets my wife and I ordered were the most horrible meals we have ever been served. The cutlets were so tough I could not cut them with a steak knife. The crumb was as hard as leather and the meat was old. It was not fit to eat. For the first time in my life I sent the meals back and requested a refund. The lady behind the counter was very nice but could only offer a voucher and we had to wait for the manager to come back to approve it. I felt sorry for her as it was not her fault. No thanks. Couldn’t get out of there quick enough. Was very worried that the little bit we did eat might make us sick. Will never go back.

I don’t normally leave a bad review about any Business. I originally wanted to order from Bradford however as usual phones never get answered so I went to Rutherford hotel since it’s the same group. I Ordered takeaway on a Saturday night. Got told to arrive at 8:05 for collection only to be asked if I wanted the rice for my Garlic prawns heated or not, then got told to wait for the garlic bread…. 20mins later waiting on kids nuggets… there was two ppl in the restaurant. On top of all this got charged $8 extra for it being takeaway… Not happy. Nothing but a kids icecream offered for the stuff around. Won’t be back.

Had a delicious Chicken Snitzel with Seafood topper chips and Vege. Prawns and Squid were very generous. Highly recommended. Only $24

First time in the Bistro. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! Started with garlic, cheese and bacon bread - yummo! A mixed grill and plenty of it, asked for medium-well for the steak and it came out perfect. The lamb cutlet was a generous size. Seafood Linguine, what can I say? So fresh, a beautiful mix of flavours, excellently cooked pasta. We will go back! Oh and they don't charge you for the 'doggy bag'.

Attended restaurant for first time after positive feedback from friends. Was an easy process booking a table online, restaurant has its own direct entry from the car park, Staff were friendly, was quiet when we attended so not a long wait on food.
The Schnitzel's here are really nice as was the chicken burger. Wouldn't recommend the pasta however or the godfather topper. I was disappointed the meat on the topper wasn't cooked more and predominantly consisted of cheese.
