You’ll get no help trying to book a table but once you get there, you’ll be pleasantly surprised - especially on a sunny day. The beer garden is definitely one of the best you’ll find anywhere in the world. Kick back and stare out to sea whilst drinking a beer and chatting with your mates. A few share / grazing plates would be a nice addition to the menu.

What a great spot to hang on a sunny day. Food was missing salt and flavour in all the dishes we got.

We turned up with a group of 14 seniors and Jack one of the staff quickly organized tables for us so we would not have to navigate stairs. He even helped with food service when the buzzers went off. Great service great value . Thank you to the kitchen staff for the free bowls of Chips. Made for a great end to our group outing. Thank you thank you.

This place might not impress you from the outside, but don't be fooled – the beer garden offers some unbeatable ocean views. It's the perfect spot for a cold one on a scorching summer day. We tried the signature snapper and prawn pie, and it was enormous. The pastry on top was both fluffy and crispy, and the filling of cream, onion, snapper, and prawn had a great balance of flavors. Although, we would've preferred it to be a bit thicker; it felt more like a soup than a pie. As for the casarecce pasta, it turned out to be quite average. The downside here was that the prices were on the higher side, roughly $30-35 per main dish. One thing to note, if you decide to sit in the beer garden, you'll need to take the stairs back to the kitchen to grab your order yourself.

This lovely location boasts stunning shoreline vistas and plentiful parking. Keep in mind, it operates seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with final food orders typically accepted at 3 p.m. and bar service until 4 p.m. The scenic ambiance includes a terrace and a spacious outdoor area with ample seating options. Additionally, it welcomes pets, so bring along your furry companions. While the menu offers a limited selection, the quality of food makes it worthwhile for a relaxing experience while enjoying the views.

There is literally nothing more I could ask for from a pub style restaurant. The food was incredible, the service was on point (never had an empty plate or cup on our table for longer than a couple of minutes) and friendly, and the view… my god the view. Not only do they offer a 10/10 view, but the way they’ve organised their seating, especially their outdoor space, is perfect. There’s plenty of seating but no one is on top of one another. A variety of table sizes. Umbrellas to shield you from the sun. And a completely unobstructed view no matter where you are, somehow, I don’t know how they do it. Would never hesitate in recommending this place and will most certainly be back. Would literally drive the hour from my house just to come here for a few hours and enjoy the atmosphere with a good feed. Decent selection of beers on tap, too. Parking is fine, not great, but not bad. I’d say you’re sacrificing more parking for a larger outdoor space and more view… which is worth it.

Stopped here for lunch after a walk across Sea Cliff Bridge. Very good seafood and an idyllic outlook over the ocean. Good choice of beers and wines made it an excellent choice

Ordered a none alcoholic lime daiquiri $17. taste like a glass of overly sweet cordial with a slice of lime. The grilled barramundi pretty boring with what looked like chips from a frozen pack and some tartar sauce for $33. A long way from the quality I expected.

Nice view and food is ok. A bit difficult to find the parking during the weekend. Also we have to wait a long time until our dishes are ready. And we have to pick them up ourselves

Nice simple pub with an amazing waterfront view, heaps of outdoor seating but not too much inside. Nice food with fairly standard portion sizes. Friendly staff.

Loved the view, food and the quiet atmosphere The only thing behind 4 stars is grabbing our food from the server to where we wanted to sit, especially when we had to go a few times to get the drinks first, then the food and finally water. Other than this, the overall experience was great.

I was extremely disappointed with the food at this restaurant. After waiting for a table, we ordered two servings of fish & chips. Unfortunately, one of them was not edible. It tasted very fishy, and the meat was tough, as if it had been sitting for a few days. I sent it back and received a refund, but by that point, I had lost my appetite. It was the worst fish & chips I’ve ever had. Both dishes were soaked in oil, and the batter was heavy. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place; there are plenty of other restaurants with similar or better views to choose from!

I understand that you come here for the view and not too much else. The food here was ok not too bad but quite expensive for what you get. I'd come here for a quick stop or drink and then keep going. I've heard weekends here are jam packed but we came on a weekday and the sparkling lot next to it was quite busy already.

I ordered the Signature Snapper and Prawn Pie for $32 - but there was a "venue surcharge" on top of a “credit card surcharge” and the total ended up being $37.35. My meal was ready quickly as we got there early, and looked well presented, with large chunks of fish, but unfortunately that's where the positive comments end. There were only 2 sad looking prawns in a very watery bland soup-like sauce - and it did not fill me up at all! I was with 2 other people and their meals (prawn vermicelli salad and the cheeseburger - which looked like it was from the kids menu) fell well short of expectation. When we raised this with the waitress, she was gruff and pretty much said ‘well you still ate it’. I ate it because I was starving and was not willing to wait at the back of a long queue! I found it interesting when the adjacent table ordered the same meal and made similar remarks as me, but with the additional “I can’t eat this”. Very overpriced and average food at best. The view is the only main draw card. Unfortunately I won't be returning here anytime soon which is a shame because I had fond memories years ago. Very disappointed!!

I came, I saw, and I can't believe I'm writing this review. The Scarborough Hotel is like a bad magic trick; it makes your money disappear faster than a rabbit in a hat. My question though, does the view outweigh the terrible food? Well, let's just say you'd have a more satisfying culinary experience taking that $12 box of Chinese take away food to the local 'Lookout' spot and digging in. And about that $6.95 "service fee": I've seen more service at a self-checkout lane. If I wanted to collect my own food and drinks, I'd stay home and raid my own fridge – at least that wouldn't cost me a service fee! In summary, save your appetite, your wallet, and your sanity. Head to a local lookout with takeout, and you'll have a better meal, a better view, and a better chance of not feeling like you just got pranked. 🎩✨

Great views of the ocean. Backyard area is fantastic and really dog friendly. Prices are a little bit expensive, but I guess your paying for the view. Staff were lovely and professional

First time visit. Very nice views It is a limited space for a car park. Must be really busy on weekends. But what u get from this venue is the view and food quality. We ordered seafood pasta, seafood pies, beef steak, and fish. All of them were really good presentation and tasty. I'll recommend 100%. Price and cocktails are reasonable. It was waiting time were a bit longer, but when you see the view from outside, you can just wait and chill.

Fabulous views. Lovely garden setting. Dogs allowed in the garden area. Excellent for larger get togethers. Closes at 3pm on a Sunday😯 We just squeezed in and got lunch. 2 x Fish and chips and 2 x shandy = $91😯😯😯😯😯😯😯😯 I've definitely had nicer chips. The fish was really good. Yes, far too pricey. Staff were really excellent. Will I visit again, 🤔 maybe.

Came on a weekend around lunch and it was packed! Difficulty finding parking outside was an indicator. But it wasn’t long before we found a table on the lawn, which had amazing views of the ocean. I can imagine on a hot day these seatings areas would be unbearable. We ordered the seafood pie and Asian salad. Both were okay, but it’s simply pub food quality. You also need to collect your own food from upstairs, including getting the water and cutlery. This place had awesome vibes however, as you can bring your dog, it had a chill family vibe. Would recommend coming with friends or family and soak in the views over some nice chips and a drink

Beautiful views and that's what you pay for. I found the menu expensive and lacking. Small serving of Fish and Chips with a small side of stir fried Broccolini for $40 and a basic Cheese Burger with Chips for $31.80 There is also a venue surcharge of 11.5% and a card processing fee. Beautiful views and a Lovely venue that is also Dog Friendly.

Beautiful location on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon! It’s only one hour drive from Sydney, not to mention the priceless views. The fish and chips was delicious, it was soft and flaky, not too fishy at all. The beets and pumpkin salad was flavorful with just the right amount of dressing. Burgers, pasta, prawns and oysters were also on the menu. They have a great selection of items for everyone. A very classy place with great service! Highly recommended

Amazing views but overrated food. We had 2 meals with a side of garlic bread for $90 including the exorbitant $9 surcharge, especially considering there is no table service. Small portions by Aussie pub standards. Go for the view, not the food
