Went tonight to try the 1/2 priced steak night. The waitresses were really good. Got a table easily and ordered straight away. Ordered the ribeye with creamy garlic sauce. Initially thought it looked alright. After pouring the sauce on the steak found the tiny bit of salad. Chips were good, but there was more than enough of them on the plate, could've been less chips and more salad. If there was more salad it could've had more ingredients in the salad than what was there. The garlic sauce was nice and the steak was cooked right. But don't think it was the normal cut they must use as definitely not the best piece of steak .... even at the half price value paid for it. Seemed like it was a piece of steak cut thinner to save cost or a budget piece.
Definitely had better quality and paid a fraction more than their half price.
But at least can say been there and tried it now.

We had a great night at the sporting globe.
We sat in the open area at the back.
Steak night never disappoints.
Fantastic meals at reasonable prices.
Drinks waiter came around when needed, it was a good night all round.
I would highly recommend. 👍👍

We had a family dinner for my daughter’s 18th birthday on Saturday 3rd February 2024. The food was delicious and not one of our guests had anything negative to say.overall it was a great night. Staff were very helpful and polite.

vegetarian (plant based) loaded fries are $30 wasted, unseasoned with no sauce and a small portion. Won’t be back anytime soon 😑. would rather spend $10 at maccas across the road

Typical sports bar.
Staff was not as attentive. We waited to be seated but went ahead to grab our own table as no one attended to us. Grabbed our own menus too. Probably they are short staffed but the restaurant was not full at that time as it was almost 2pm.
Food was okay. Good portion.

TSG is our "go to" bar . Excellent food, excellent ambience and excellent staff.
THE best in Geelong.
P.S. All the vegetarian options are Must Try.. super delicious ❤️

Travelled all day from Adelaide. We were hungry therefore stopped here to have dinner.
I love the layout of the venue, the staff were friendly and the food was fresh, taste, and exceeded our expectations.
My partner had the champion bacon burger and absolutely loved it. I had the chicken Schnitzel, so good and the salad was yummy also.

The TV screens at the tables don't work witch is half of the reason I go there. Meals took about 50min to arrive to the table, basic orders like wings and burgers for three people. Staff were slow and dropped food as they were serving. I would like to see a range of sports on the TV's, off road, rally, other sports etc. "Not as good as it used to be"

The chicken parmi and drinks were a standout for me, they tasted great and are relatively cheap. Tahlia’s customer service really impressed me! She was super friendly, professional, went out of her way to explain food and drinks for us, and came to check up on us from time to time - keep it up girl!
The place has a great atmosphere, so will happily come back again :)

Star review based on what this place is. A sports bar. Not fine dining. So everything was as expected. Loved the fresh greens in the salad but had to hunt for the other ingredients. A decent amount of food. Cocktail peach tea jug was great. Had to go searching for service but staff were very friendly and helpful. If I wanted a decent meal and drink watching sport it's a good choice

Sadly I would not recommend this venue. I have worked in hospitality and I understand venues recently have introduced having “time limits” however when booking my sons 18th birthday dinner I asked if they had a time restriction and was assured that they didn’t by the person taking the booking. Because my booking was more than 10 I called the venue. We only had 20 not a massive number. I called to confirm the Tuesday prior to our booking. On the day before our booking at 4.30 I had a missed call with a voicemail to call back and confirm my booking. I called back only to be told that we had 2 hours so from 6-8. I expressed my pure disappointment explaining that I had asked about time limits and was told there was not. I then asked if they had somewhere else to move to after dinner and was told no they were overbooked. I managed to book elsewhere and cancelled my booking but felt very stressed and disappointed in the whole process and lack of communication.

Paul and the rest of the team were wonderful, helped my elderly aunt with the menu as she is vision impaired, he was very patient and accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. Paul took the time out of the lunch rush to show us around as my aunt lived there when her family owned the pub. Mentionable experience for us all.

Nice place with really good discounts for great meals every night. We came on a Tuesday and had a Steak with chips and salad for half the price. The steak was cooked to perfection. The pepper sauce was quite nice and the chips were also very good. Overall a great experience.

My partner and I went for our date to TSG Geelong and we were so thrilled by the amazing food. The menu had a great options.
Best place to eat vegetarian food too.
We tried Plant based korean fried chicken burger, cauliflower popcorn, chicken parma, sweet potato fries with different with yummy mayo/aoli and Mocktails too.
Mocktails were a little bit let down coz they were less of Mango or watermelon syrup and more of Sprite or lemonade, but how can I expect a good mocktail at a bar thats why they were fine.
But other than that... friendly staff, great and fast service.
Will definitely come here again and bring my kids too.
Keep up the good work team TSG.
P.s. Not a lot of parking closeby this restaurant. So be prepared to walk to reach here incase you don't find a spot anywhere close.

I've had the calamari salad and only got 5 calamari piece on very large bowl of salad. The menu has gluten and dairy friendly, the only thing that is gluten and dairy free is this calamari salad on the menu.
Don't bother coming here if you are DF and GF variety is not the best.
Calamari is nicely cooked.

I ordered a large serve chicken bites which I have ordered from other locations numerous times. The bowl was tiny (see photo) when it arrived definitely not worth $27.90! I spoke to 2 wait staff immediately. The first one said it looked like a regular and took it back to the kitchen. It came back minutes later exactly the same. He said it's actually a large. At this point I called over the Manger and ask him. He literally said "that's definitely a large" and walked away before we had a chance to reply. To make things worse we then waited 40 minutes for our dessert which only got rushed out because we wanted a refund. The dessert was a cookie that was still frozen and no cutlery was given to us.
Our plates were not cleared for 30 minutes. No one checked on us at any point during the experience despite the fact we were clearly unhappy and upset from the moment our food was served. I'm furious and utterly disappointed with the lack of service shown by Sporting Globe Staff. There was no apology at any point either. I will not be returning to any Sporting Glove Franchise moving forward.
If I could rate it less than 1 star I would.

I love love the vibe of the place - went with some folks the day after lockdown since usual place wasn't open yet and what a lovely sporting pub lol the seating with the sun in the back was great, hope F1 gets shown here too if the timing is right!!! would be amazing to watch with other fans lol had the nourish bowl and it was yummm will have to try the other vegan options <3 friendly service too :)
Also it was a wed noon so was happily surprised that there was a half price off promo combo to be had haha great value
Vegan burger is yummmm!! (Bottom one lol with french fries and the dip is also very 👌👌👌👌)
Update: came back in a group and service was phenomenal+ delicious vegan Parma!!

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service we received at your restaurant last night. My girlfriend and I waited over 35 minutes for someone to take our order, and even then, we did not receive the physical menu until I asked for it. We noticed that other tables around us were being served, but we were not.
I understand that it was a busy night, but it was disappointing to see staff hanging around the kitchen waiting for food to come out instead of checking on customers to make sure everything was okay.
I hope that you will take this feedback into consideration and make improvements to your service in the future.

Good Sports Bar with good service and food. I didn’t know this before coming as I was just passing through but they actually have decent specials on their website for half price Wings & Ribs or half price Steaks as well as other specials so check it out.

Food was decent, nothing too special on their new selection of parmas
however, it is very pricey.
Only worth if you visit during the special deal/price times.

Food is great and a good size , service friendly and efficient. A little on the pricey side but worth it ( one of the best parmys ever ). Atmosphere pleasant and clean , just not a fan of competing with the sport noise going on the screens. Yeah it's a sports bar but just turn the sound off in the eating area please. Would l go back ? For sure .

First time I've tried a Poke bowl, absolutely enjoyed it, wild rice, black beans, sauteed mushrooms, sweet potato, kale, corn, avocado, grilled haloumi, grilled chicken and spicy mayo.. Yum!!
