We stopped here for lunch to see what it was like. The food was good, I had the lamb shank and hubby had the beef burger both were good and a peach cobbler for dessert it was good to. The staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't get to busy for lunchtime and Christmas. Will be coming back to try more on the menu. Highly recommend trying it. 😊😊

We came in 30min before they shut the kitchen and they were still very friendly and provided great service. The beef burger we bought for $20 was one of the best I've had and chips were perfect.
Also the security guy was friendly too.

Visited The Spotted Cow on Saturday night for dinner - fourth visit in a year. I think you can guess this is going to be a positive review. Food - excellent. Wine list - same. Staff - super attentive and friendly. Decor - tastefully updated. My only tweak would be to drop the lighting down a little so more intimate than bistro. But geez - that's a nit pick! Highly recommend.

Very pleasant dining experience, the meal is 10 points delicious and fresh, and the portion is full. Enjoyed red wine glasses there, and I look forward to visiting again

Very ordinary. My wife wanted the lamb shanks and pork cutlets, both were denied. Would make more sense if the waitress told us these weren’t available before we ordered.
I then requested the wagyu rump at 350g @$38. Asked for medium rare, with a side of mash and chips. They said they couldn’t do both even though both sides were available. Advised if there was an issue to come back to me. In the end i received , and the steak was sub par. Medium at best and dry. Hardly any mash or chips. Complete rip off for a $38 steak. Won’t be returning. 🤮

Think how hungry you are and if your willing to pay a large amount of money for a small meal. Also if you'd like to pay $10 for a side of hot chips. A pint of beer $10. Lastly if you use a silly qr code on the table which says your order is a success and never arrives.
It was a great restaurant a few years ago. Staff eating and walking around behind the bar in and out of the store room doorway making very loud clanging noises with not so happy faces. Service slack. Been and gone now. Won't be back..

Taking a long time for seating, ordering and getting food.
Ordered kids meal for my daughter but just got ice cream without topping even on the menu said it served with choice of topping.
Staff wasn't friendly at all.

Really great service and food. The ladies the served us were funny and had a laugh, the food was amazing. Would highly recommend this place

My sister and I had a great time here today! The hostess was super friendly and patient. We each got one of the weekday lunch specials and this was by far the best "pub" food I have had in a while. The music was great and at a reasonable volume and everywhere was clean and well presented. We even had a win on the pokies, so all-round 5-stars :)

My first visit and turned out to be an absolutely delightful experience. I was there with another family, kids included, and we all had a splendid evening. The service we received was impeccably professional, yet warm and friendly.
Our server for the evening, a wonderfully kind and patient lady, truly went above and beyond in taking our orders, her attention to detail leaving an indelible impression on us. She handled our group and our individual requests with a grace and professionalism that stood out and truly enhanced our dining experience.
Among the various culinary delights we ordered, I personally tried the dry-aged steak. The steak was a revelation, packed with flavour and cooked precisely to my preference. It was served with a side of fluffy mashed potatoes, a delightful pairing that greatly enhanced the taste of the main dish.
The ambiance, the service, and above all, the food at Spotted Cow were all phenomenal. Our visit was a memorable one and we left the restaurant with our hearts full and our palates satisfied.
I would like to express my gratitude to the team for making our evening so enjoyable. I cannot wait to return and sample more from your delightful menu.

It was not nice. Poor service. Well no table service at all! Had to order drinks from the bar, meals from the till. The barramundi was very small meal where the chicken schnitzel was ok. Went to another restaurant for dessert.

I thought I'd treat myself to a pub meal tonight and the spotted cow it was. I ordered the $42 Wagyu, asked for 3 sides, chips, mash potato and season vegetables with Diane sauce. I was sooo hungry and looking forward to trying some famous wagyu!
When my meal arrived, the plate looked a bit bare, the steak and sauce, it had some vegetables and the whole meal was warm at best and the mashed potato had formed a bit of a "skin" over it, something was missing... the chips. I went back to the bar maid and asked if the 3 sides had gone through with my order, she said that she ordered it but maybe the kitchen thought that my order was wrong. So I asked if I could order some more chips because i ordered chips. $10 for more chips! And when they came out over 15 minutes later they were warm, not hot. So now I finally get the meal I ordered, but the steak and veg are all now cold, but I've been waiting so long and so hungry I needed to eat.
The famous Wagyu I got was nothing like I had heard about. It was a bit tough to cut and had grissel at the end that took some chewing. The meal was tasty, but cold, like bringing it to me was an afterthought.
So needless to say I will not ever go back, the money it cost me for a sad disappointment of a meal only made worse when I think about how hard I had to work to earn that money to pay for it.

I recently had a fantastic time at spotter cow. The cocktails were absolutely delightful, and the meat dishes were incredibly delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

I had not been to The Cow in 20 years and was completely blown away by the changes. The restaurant has been redone in a very simple but elegant way and this makes the dining experience that much more pleasurable. The menu was great and the food beautifully presented and executed well. We just expected a normal pub feed but what we got was more than that.

I had a great steak here
It’s recently been extensively renovated after a Covid shutdown in 2020 but the burners are firing up again to the delight of.visitors and locals alike!
My friend s decry th removal of the black and white spouted cows adnoring the front entrance previously which gave it a distinct feel
It is housed in a hertiage 1893 building that started like as a tannery
It would easily be the best pub meal in Toowoomba

Happened by chance.
Lovely clean facilities and a great atmosphere.
Staff were friendly (including chef and kitchen staff)
Definitely one of the best steaks we've eaten in a long time. Had the rib and the rib eye on the bone with a side of the delicious bacon. Both meals were perfectly cooked down to the last bite.
Not cheap, but what you expect to pay for quality steak.
Well worth the drive.

Greatest tavern food we've had in ages. Every detail of these two basic meals (parmi and fish and chips) was done to perfection. Brilliant cooking with fresh salad ingredients, very generous serves and excellent table service.

First time here and as I've heard, Spotted Cow now has a new owner and a new menu.
The first impression was that the menu items (likely to be the bup food style) are rather expensive. Though I was very impressed with the food and the presentation. Definitely the new management is leaning towards a classy pub with some casual-dining vibes.
The food was very well done and my roast chicken and veggies was far from a bowl of chicken and veg I expected and more like a very well presented fine dining meal. The burger also had a punch of flavour and a hearty paddy with jam.
Heaps variety of beers on tap, and a pool table in a different room. The service was very friendly and professional.

Fantastic place.. love the fireplace! Polite and courteous staff. Food is delicious. Very easy to recommend the "Cheese Steak Springrolls" made with pulled brisket.

Every venue needs a JADE !
Lunch was amazing a few weeks back when we first dined (and the new menu we tried on Anzac Day was incredible) but we would have eaten week old leftovers on toast if Jade had served it.
What an absolute asset to your team this young lady is.
Friendly without being fake, informative with regards to the menu and wines and clearly loves what she does.
100% recommend the Spotted Cow

Customer service was terrible. No smiles, server didn't even say a word when we asked for a table and got seated. Took over an hour to get our food, My mums coffee order was wrong twice, food quality was below average especially for the price. Very nice onion rings though. Don't think we will repeat.

Customer service was a bit average, lunch specials were ok. Lovely place though and beautiful dining room.
Management contacted me to discuss my experience. They were very pleasant and assured me that they would follow up on my issues with their poor customer service.

Can't request a rare steak, place feels super corporate rather then a country town pub. if it wasn't for the lovely service girl I would have walked out.

Came here to have a casual birthday dinner for 10 people. The cob loaf and arancini were okay. I ordered a steak and opted for the smashed chat potatoes and broccolini to go with it. The steak was a little overcooked to my liking but still enjoyable. However, the potatoes weren't even smashed or seasoned. They just gave me boiled potatoes that were baked in the oven. The crispy pork belly was good though. Decent food overall but not for this price.
The service was a bit of a let down. The server looked like they didn't even want to be there. We sat down at the tables for over 5 minutes with no menus or water given. We had to get our own menus. When it came to ordering food the same server told us to go order drinks at the bar ourselves because they couldn't be bothered to bring us our drinks considering our larger table booking and that it would be easy to get our drink orders mixed up (???). It felt like lazy service considering there were two staffed on the floor on a weeknight.
Ambience was great though, the restaurant had an intimate vibe despite it being plastered in pokies screens.

Beautiful pub. Great service, wait for food was 45-50mins around 12pm on a saturday. Not bad. Lovely cocktails & decent food! Was a little bit hot inside with no windows open… but was still comfortable enough.

Alcohol is very expensive ($24 for a Vanilla Espresso Martini) but also surprisingly weak??? I went on a Saturday night for a private party and there were only 2 people running the bar for a party and a very packed dining room. They should be rostering more people on for a weekend as the 2 bartenders seemed very stressed and we had to wait a while for our drinks. The private party I attended had platters ordered that had a wide variety of finger foods for everyone to nibble on.

Absolutely love the new menu the half chicken was delicious can’t wait to come back and try something different. Service was outstanding Jade was fabulous happy and friendly from the minute I walked through the door very helpful with the menu definitely an asset to the company.
