Was having a few in the sports bar ... service was good from the female serving then a male served 2 groups before me even though I'd clearly been there the whole time ... the male bartender walked away muttering 'she's not from here' after I pointed out the positioning ... the guy who got served second actually apologised and paid for my drink for me ... the 2 men who got served first (and clearly not Australian going by their accent) didn't acknowledge their ignorance, arrogance and rudeness at all.
Very un-Australian barman.

Very nice lunch, thank you. Bistro was quiet and comfortable with soft background music. Perfect for us oldies. Seniors menu and more.

Very disappointed in the changes happening here. Has been our go to local for the last year. The staff in the bistro area are Super! The sad news that the bistro is being closed for more distillery nonsense is very upsetting. We will be saying goodbye to this establishment as will most other diners as we don't want to eat dinner in a loud, erratic sports bar or outside with the smokers on the uncomfortable high tables. Sad. It could've been so much more. Hope the staff don't receive too much backlash. They seem as sad and shocked as us.

Since last being there for a family members 67th about 3/4yrs ago.. Have upgraded the menu's on table and choices to eat..so much better..looks so much neater inside.. service was great and friendly..food was great serves..more than I was expecting..cash/cards..easy access if wheelchair or walkers..great parking out front.. drive through to the side..🙂

Nice little place. Great service.
Meals on Thursday were a little hit and miss, with two of 5 having to go back (two specials).
One replacement was great, and the other was not.
We've eaten there before without a problem, so we will just put it down as an unlucky day.

I went back to this pub for the first time in 30 years about two weeks ago and had one of the best steaks I've eaten in a long time. Just in case this one visit was a fluke, I went back again a week later and the result was the same. Fabulous food and great service from an older and a little dated pub.

I'm reviewing on behalf of a family dinner we had here tonight. I want to express my gratitude to all the staff on tonight as they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Unfortunately the gnocchi I ordered wasn't available - but the chef went out of her way to make a lovely veggie linguine dish for me, asking what I would like in it etc. As a vegetarian who's received my fair share of dining exclusion over the years, the effort was much appreciated! The quiz night was great too. The hosts were so friendly and kept the vibe of the night super fun and light-hearted. Looking forward to coming back again!

I liked the service, food and staff, but you need to bring back the pensioner meals back as I really miss these meals, as all other meals are much to large, and you wast so much food.

Have been going there often. 2 weeks ago, no seniors meals,(cant eat a whole meal now), no tea or coffee to finish off your meal, our meal was just warm, they were not happy to take it back and heat it up. Big guy behind the bar very full of his self inportance. Not going back again.

Had to stop for a cold as Heineken here , had a pizza and chips, very gud thy were, bar lady was orsum and a gud laugh, went outside and meet sum friendly people, well worth the stop

Hadn't been for a while but finally got down for the Parmi night, ended up tempted by the rest of the menu so tried a good variety of meals along with a parmi, thoroughly enjoyed everything and the service was super friendly and efficient, the staff are definitely a credit to the place. Always great to have a good local see you again soon.

Had no complaints about food or service as both were excellent. As there were nine of us they gave us a long table by stage. The floor and stage are the same colour with not a lot of room in between. One of our group tripped and fell banging her head on the stage, she now has a huge black eye. This hassard needs to be addressed.

Had a great night last night at The Thornlie went for dinner and the Quiz night. Dinner was awesome the meals were cooked well, freshly made and very well priced they had a curry special for $15.00 and it was delicious my husband had the garlic prawns and he was very pleasantly surprised by how many prawns he got and he said that the flavour was spot on.
The quiz night is free to attend and the quiz master Terence made everyone feel so welcome and at ease. Terence made sure everyone understood how things were run and added lots of humour through out the night. I would definitely attend again as the quiz night was lots of fun which is something we all could do with especially at the moment
All the staff at the Thornlie were very polite and friendly and customer service was great.

Great wee pub.
Nice cold heineken on tap, was refreshing after a hot day out and about.
We ate at the bistro. We had the hot hog pizza and a bowl of fries.
Pizza was absolutely delicious, very well balanced with lots of stringy cheese 🙂.
The fries were hot & fresh, $10 for a massive bowl with sauces.
Highly reccomend this pub for a hearty pub feed and cold beer.
The staff here were a great laugh and friendly 😁
Will definitely be returning.

Cheap and cheerful! Went for the quiz night on Tuesday and was stoked. Dinner special was great, everyone's food on my table looked amazing. Was served by Liam- who was fabulous. Liam was friendly, focused and was looking after everyone. Will be back.

Came with a group of friends on a Thursday night for dinner and karaoke. Food was good as was the service. Staff went out of their way to move tables into the sports bar for
us for karaoke.
This pub is very popular with the locals, a lot of whom come to sing.
Recommend as a fun night out.

Bloody good food.
A friend and local invited me to lunch here. Now I was a bit hesitant given the reputation of the local shops, but wow it was so nice inside the bistro. A warm and intimate atmosphere, great food and affordable prices.
Wednesday was steak sandwich day which is $20 and Includes a pint of selected beverage.
I will be back!

Absolutely an amazing feed at a really good price on two occasions. My first two visits. The steak sandwich faultless and my seafood platter was brilliant. I'm a great cook and a fussy customer. The staff also absolutely beautiful and friendly,great at what they do...many more visits coming
