About The Windsor Castle Hotel
Relaxed pub offering straightforward rooms, as well as dining & regular live music. Set on an intersection in a residential area, this laid-back pub with rooms is 10 minutes' walk from Victoria Street Station and the Maitland Gaol museum, and 1 km from Stockade Hill Heritage Park. The straightforward rooms have en suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and minifridges, as well as tea and coffeemaking facilities. The relaxed gastro-pub serves wood-fired pizza and features pool tables and regular live music. There's also a drive-through liquor shop, a conference centre and a banquet hall.

Went to the Windsor Castle Hotel for a nice lunch yesterday. The food came out cold and not to order. We took it back and they just seemed to reserve the same schnitzel and steak with new sides. The chips were soggy and just warm, the steak so overcooked and the schnitzel dripping in oil. Its the worst meal I have ever had there. Been going to the Hotel for over 45 years.

Went for lunch with friends we had a very nice time. The food was great. The beer was ice cold

We had a nice night, the other 3 enjoyed their chicken schnitzels although my salad was ok, pretty average to be honest and I didn’t eat it all. Was pretty much onion and lettuce.
The options for non meat eaters and healthy was next to nothing enticing.
The salmon had a sausage with it and when asked if could have without the sausage was told would have to be picked out as pre made.
Then I asked if could add fish or salmon to a salad or swap the meat on salad for salmon and was no go either.
Wasn’t busy yet otherwise wouldn’t ask. Would have been nice if more accomodating with simple requests.
Garlic bread was lovely. Over all a nice night just wouldn’t rush for me to eat there.

We go frequently for lunch with the kids. Its food is amazing we have never had a bad meal. Staff are always helpful and friendly.
They have very inclusive areas for kids with a great playground that suits toddlers and older kids. They also have an amazing set up inside for kids to play with.

We came here for Sunday lunch and was quite surprised when our meals came out. The presentation was really good and the food was delicious. Didn’t need dessert, we were so full. We will definitely be coming back here, even though it’s an hours drive.

Waited in line 25 minutes to order lunch today. Waited about 40 minutes for basic meals. One dish in the order was wrong, schnitzel came out covered in white sauce not gravy. Kitchen staff did offer a pot of gravy when discussed not offer a fresh cooked schnitzel as originally ordered. Food below average. Clearly needed another cashier to assist with orders. Wouldn't recommend this place.

This is a huge thankyou to the lovely young lady that help me out today,after enjoying an amazing lunch my friend became very unwell, you were very helpful and we both thankyou for help and kindness, you are an amazing person,we will be back,we highly recommend this fabulous hotel to everyone

The Windsor hotel is a lot bigger than on photos and a lot nicer. Staff were great. My meal buzzer stopped working, and they called order over the speaker to collect. All the meals that came out were looking amazing, which made it hard to order what I wanted. Food ended up being really tasty.
Rooms are a good size. Comfortable beds and good showers.
I know I and my work colleagues will be staying here again

The interior and size of the facility was large, spacious and modern. Renovations good even outdoor dining in an atrium area plus a kids play area outside. But the food… terrible. None of my family ate even a third of their meals. I ordered the chicken breast with vege. The chicken was fried and very very dry. No mash? What hotel/pub doesn’t have mash? The potato bake and vege tasted like they came straight out of the freezer packet. Not fresh at all or heated up long enough. Would recommend Bowling Club down the road for meals despite the ‘family’ atmosphere.

Stayed at the Windsor Castle when catching up with mates for a boys weekend. 3 of us stayed in rooms at the motel, all were happy with the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms. The Hotel itself is an absolute ripper with great sports bar, beer garden and restaurant, along with a great front bar. I had 2 meals there and both were delicious and I found the staff friendly and very attentive. Great venue and look forward to attending again at some stage

No impressed! We booked a table and was seated in front of a big screen TV. Fine. Waited for the food which wasn’t too long and the reason was clear. My partner and I both ordered burgers which were ok. He ordered chips which were soggy. I had salad which looked like it had literally been thrown in the basket. It was fry with no dressing. Ordered a Tequila cocktail but the bar person didn’t know how to make it and had to look it up. Needless to say, it wasn’t the best. Won’t be going back.

My partner and I had lunch at the Windsor as we saw it advertised and went there especially. We live in Karuah. We were disappointed in the food to say the least. My partner had nachos, the meat on the nachos was very sweet bolognese sauce NOT Mexican. Please check how the chef is making the nachos, taste the meat to make sure it's Mexican not Italian. It tasted wrong. I had the cutlets which was very ordinary, nothing special, (obviously crumbed by the butcher) the gravy tasted like Gravox not home made. We thought the Windsor's food would be a cut above, not to be, disappionting. The staff were wonderful.

Lovely hotel, stayed in the annex which was fine. Beds extremely comfortable,|Pillows were amazing! Room was clean and we asked for more milk around 11.30 pm when we left the bar and it was brought to our room within 5 minutes. Staff are extremely friendly. One little gripe was breakfast…… food amazing but service was not the best. I do not like the idea of having to eat breakfast in the bar area so you have to carry your food from main restaurant through the main entrance hallway to bar area. We had to do one journey for orange juice go back for our food. The bar area consisted of high tables and bar stools to sit at or low arms chairs and tables I do not feel either are appropriate for the age range of people who will be paying approx £200 for B&B. Not enough staff serving breakfast either. Even down to us not having a simple tea spoon . ||Sorry for the moan, other than that very nice stay we would return.

Loved this place! Friendly staff, yummy food, the Sticky Date dessert was amazing! They had a kids section set up with all sorts of activities to keep the little ones entertained. Definitely recommend this place.

It’s a shame they changed their menu recently & now my favourite meals there are no longer available. Lunch menu is very ordinary now also since they changed it.

Had a catch-up lunch with old friends there on a rainy Saturday. Very spacious & not too noisy. Beer was cold & the food was hot. Staff were pleasant & onto things

Great Vibe, Great customer service and Great food. A playground outside and a little corner indoors for the young ones. I recommend the classic cheeseburger. Great for families and for young and old couples and friends.

Great quality food at reasonable prices. Clean and well maintained dining and bar facilities. Good selection of wines and beers. Very friendly staff.

Great menu with an option for everyone. Consistent quality of food and generous portions. Staff very friendly. On one occasion I needed to expand my table booking by 3 people. The staff were more than happy to help make the request happen and they didn't make me feel bad even though it was last minute changes. The staff are interactive when placing orders and even polite and interactive with my children. Facilities are also great. Play areas to suit all age ranges, designated gambling areas and large eating areas indoor and out.

Great Hotel, excellent modern rooms with new en-suites. Super helpful staff, great food, ice cold beer. Only a short walk to the railway station. Will be going back again

Great affordable meals, excellant service, easy parking, clean and mordern interior indoor and outdoor kids play area. This is an example of what a good pub looks like

Food is great. A lot of pubs these days that are going down the deep fry everything route as they can't get the skilled staff. Glad to say the fresh Salmon I had was beautiful and well cooked.

Everything is done properly. I had lamb cutlets with Diane sauce. Lamb was cooked perfectly, Diane sauce was the smoothest I'd ever had in my life and delicious. All the pizzas looked stunning for a just a pub. You could just tell that the people in the kitchen cared about the food they were giving to people. All the service staff were super nice and just really helpful. Great pub.

Barman was very rude and unhygienic, with using his hands, no tongs or gloves.
Very bad unskilled barman. Wouldn't employ him.
Bistro Meal staff were good and friendly though.
I wouldn't rate it at all. Very pour . Other places are better. Won't go back.

Animal petting day for the kids under 13yrs with face painting as well. It was such a beautiful day for the kids in the school holidays this week. At a great pub in east Maitland. It's always full of people enjoying lunch & dinner. The food is really awesome n yummy. You need to make reservations as they're full most of the time!! Great place for birthday dinner partys as I've been to many. & They have a happy hour, not sure what time thow Yes they do have rooms available just not sure how many. & Has a bottle shop. Plus a great play area for the children. Staff are really nice &friendly. They also have drink service to your chair whilst playing on the poker machines.... They don't have any entertainment ie band's if they did it would be a full house. My granddaughter had alot of fun. It's very family oriented for a pub 🍻
