We visit regularly for dinner as the food and service is always superb but the pub itself is old and tired and in desperate need of a good spruce up - nothing too fancy, even a coat of paint to freshen it up perhaps.

Well liked staff who were super friendly, the house was booked out so they were busy. We will go back there.

We had such a beautiful afternoon/evening in the beer garden, listening to awesome live music, catching up with friends, eating delicious food (my burger was perfect!) and soaking up the country town vibes.
Owners were so chilled and friendly, it was like we’d known them for years
Will be back!

Very comfortable chairs, tables well spaced, air-conditioned, attentive staff, table service, seniors menu well priced and a comprehensive main menu. Couldn't fault it

Used to love having dinner at this pub. Don't know what's happened to it but after the meal I had earlier this week, I won't be back. Entrees were brought out with the mains - what's that about? Haloumi chips garnished with wilted, yellowing (& in some parts black and slimy) microgreens that were difficult to pick off. Garlic prawns (for some reason heavily crumbed), served with half-cooked crunchy white rice & a congealed sauce that had no garlic flavour. Minimal vegetarian options - they used to make the most delicious field mushrooms with pesto & feta. Such a shame. Was really looking forward to a night off from the kitchen & eating something better than I can make myself.

This place is a great country pub in the Adelaide Hills. I stopped here for lunch on my way back from Adelaide, great hospitality and Quick service. I had the roast lamb and veggies and tirimasu for dessert, it just melted in my mouth . Would definitely recommend this hotel and I will be definitely back. It had a very warm homely feeling about the place I give this hotel a big thumbs up.

Sunday lunch 3/3/24
Called in as it was on our way for a drive
Good experience, 3 schnitzels perfectly cooked, I had lamb roast ( $22 ) !!!! Roast was huge.
I think owners were the ones running the bar , taking the food orders … what more could you ask for tbh .
Older hills pub that still does what it should … good food , cold beer and good service .

So good! The meat was cooked to protection, the mushroom sauce was heavenly and the chips are great! Also the burger was delicious!

Popped in on the way home to get a meal. We had a chicken parmy and beef schnitzel with gravy. Really happy with the meals. They were good quality, fresh salads and good size. Beef schnitty was huge! The pub is what you’d expect from a normal country pub, but could do with an interior refresh at some stage.

Nothing was too much trouble here.
We were looking for some lunch, and the kitchen had officially closed, but the cook was willing to do something for us.
The person who waited for our table was so good she blows her score way out of the water. If I could give her 12/5, I would.
We only met one manager, but she was outstanding also. The cook made sure that the meals were perfect. I highly recommend

Met the publican, who was extremely friendly and a good old style pub. Plus the bonus of having a good supply of my favourite stout,and the occasional appearance of Gidget the Great Dane. But it's always worth a visit for the service and friendliness of the Woodside Hotel.

Love the new renovation!
Went for dinner on a Saturday of the long weekend, it was busy but we still got a table! The staff were fantastic, service and food came out quick!
Great options for all, including Gluten Free!! There was also live music, which was a bonus! Fantastic and worth the drive for a nice meal and good vibes!!

It's good to know that some things never change. I walked into the bar expecting not to recognise it but it was just the same as 30 years ago. Like a mini time capsule. I loved it! The publicans were friendly, the wood fired heater warmed us up and the beer was cold. They even had a juke box in the corner and I haven't seen one of those in years. They supply meals in the dining room but we didn't eat. I'm really happy to have visited and found it just the way it used to be : )

It has a great Hills Pub TAB bar... it had everything you would want including Keno.

Great pub in the Adelaide Hills. Go there if you want a good old fashioned pub lunch.
Both the quality and size of the meals was amazing. It’s so nice to go to a pub that still provides table service, which seems to be disappearing from city pubs. The staff were friendly, service was quick and the food met all expectations. We didn’t have desserts but the ones served to the table next to us looked delicious. The menu had plenty of options.
The open fire is a nice touch in the dining room.
If we had to pick anything, the decor needs a bit of updating but overall not too bad.

Good old school country pub full of locals and authenticity. Simple bar service, a few pokie machines out the back and great outdoor space undercover or in the open.
Pool table and TV off the side (although pool table is too close to walls and window).

Finally had meal in this wonderful Adelaide Hills pub. The table service was awesome and friendly. The old charm in the dining room is great to see. The food was superb and well priced. I had the Woody Burger which is the best burger I've ever had and my partner had the chicken parmi which was tasty and a good size. We'll definitely be back for another meal soon. The front bar is also a favourite of ours as it's relaxing and the owners and staff are super friendly

Fantastic. 8 of us had dinner and we all loved it. From the Halloumi fries, the perfect burger, the roast Turkey, the Rendang Curry, excellent.. AND it was cheap. Wow 👌

Best country pub meal I've had for ages. The better half had the Atlantic Salmon and holy batfish the skin was perfection!! I had the porterhouse schnitzel and from the golden crumb to the melt in your mouth meat, the whole dish was superb! Fantastic table service that paired excellently with the precisely timed delivery from the kitchen. The Woodside Hotel is one of the hills best kept secrets.

A great spot for lunch - we were travelling through the Adelaide hills and decided to stop for lunch here. The menu was good Aussie pub food with a few other options. Seniors menu was quite extensive for those who qualify! The service was friendly and efficient and the food was tasty.

1st time dining after movie fundraiser in Mt B. Open fire going ✔ simple decor . Service was quite good, meals OK. Would dine again. In Ent book ✅
