Wow! Very impressed! Big improvement from 12 months ago, nice food and very friendly service

We went there last weekend for lunch. Food and service ok . Bought two cheesecakes at $22 to have with a cuppa in the arvo to find they were in eatable. Never had anything like it . Rubbery , hard base that you had a job to cut into . Wasn’t much flavour , it was between banana and bubblegum . Called the York and they were ok and were going to send a voucher out for $25 to which I didn’t receive. Called back this afternoon and was told the manager would call back at 4 as not in until then . Still no call . A relative also complained of a different cheesecake from there was pretty ordinary. I think for $11 each it would want to be pretty spectacular. I was told it was made fresh but we thought maybe had been frozen . Not great customer service if they tell you one thing and do a other . Be wary of the cheesecake . Last time we will be going there

We’ve been to York Hotel twice now in the past few months. Both times we had a friendly greeting and taken to our table. The staff even accommodated us having our baby in the pram and gave us a table where we could sit the pram next to us but not block the walkway. The food was delicious. We have two children who are fussy eaters and they didn’t complain once about their meals. The prices are great for the quality of the meals. Will definitely be returning again in the future.

Went there twice. Beer was nice & cold after a long trip. Had a meal on 2nd visit, my mother & husband enjoyed their meals, my steak could have been a little less cooked to be rare it was more a medium

Went for a birthday. Meal was very nice. I got Garoic Prawn Parmi with Veg. Sauce on top of parmi was nice and cheesy. Didn't stay in any rooms, not sure if they have any.

We love coming to The York, best pub with excellent service. They treat customers like friends, that’s why we’re regulars. The food is excellent always.

This has always been a favourite place of mine to eat. I recommend this venue to my work mates to go to last night and they were super happy ! I was there again tonight for another booking I'd made and recommend. Happy faces at our table! Staff were brilliant and the owner (Mark) is consistent every time.
I will continue to give this small but awesome place a recommendation! FOOD WAS AND IS ALWAYS AMAZING! Thanks to all

The very first time I've been to The York Hotel but it won't be the last time! Staff were excellent, extremely friendly and able to have a laugh with.
The food was very nice, I had 3 courses and the starter was oysters kilpatrick followed by the main of BBQ honey chicken wrapped in bacon with chips, gravy and creamy garlic mash. I personally wasn't a fan of the mash as it was more of a paste, for dessert I went with the chocolate brownie and icecream and boy oh boy was it nice!!
Overall it was a great experience, not to crowded and not to loud.

Service was excellent they came to your table and explained about all the specials. Very friendly kept checking to see if you needed anything and asking if everything was all good and to top it off the meals where very good.

Often drive past and wonder how this pub keeps going given its somewhat remote location but went there tonight on a friend's recommendation and now know why. The staff are wonderful; they're friendly and funny and just terrific. The food is fabulous and well priced. It's kind of like a sports bar and dining room thrown together and there's a buzzy atmosphere and there was a lot of little kids there who were having a ball! If you haven't been then go. We weren't disappointed. Well done guys!

Nice little place. Came here for dinner and I ordered the 400g steak done rare, with salad and mushroom gravy.. and it contained LOTS of mushrooms! 😃 the meat was perfectly cooked, I can honestly say it was one of the best steaks I've had. Very happy, thank you all so much. cheers! 🍻

My mother, father and I all had some great meals here. I've also been back several times with my wife. The food is great and portions are large. It's important to book in advance because they quite often book out! Loved my meals there.

My friends Kobi, Sean, and I had an absolutely amazing time at The York Hotel! From start to finish, the atmosphere was lively, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. The drinks were fantastic, and we may have indulged a bit, resulting in an unforgettable night of fun and laughter. The York Hotel is definitely the go-to spot for a great time with friends. Kobi, Felix, Max, Billy, and I had an epic time at The York Hotel! From the moment we stepped in, the lively atmosphere and welcoming staff set the stage for an unforgettable night. The drinks were exceptional, and we may have taken things up a notch, resulting in a night filled with laughter and great camaraderie. The York Hotel has become our ultimate go-to spot for a fantastic time with friends. Big shoutout to the friendly staff and the fantastic ambiance that made our evening truly special. I can't get enough of this place! Whenever I'm craving a juicy steak, it's my go-to spot. But it's not just about the steaks – their spaghetti and other dishes are absolutely mouthwatering too. It's become my comfort place for whenever I need a delicious meal to satisfy my hunger. Highly recommended for steak lovers and anyone who appreciates fantastic food!

Had dinner here for the first time based on a friend’s recommendation. Was surprised by the quality and quantity of the food, as well as the prompt service from the staff. Really enjoyed our meal. Will go back. For some reason there was no water provided, not sure if it is self-serviced.

Great place for lunch. Had the seafood basket for $21. Good price and very tasty. Big serving of great chips. Grandma ate the veggies and she loved it. Well priced and good value! Lovely drive out there too!

Great meal for dinner. Busy time but we were early so meal didn't take long getting to us. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Menu was varied with great options.

Don't go there for a good meal, go there for a great meal. The food was cooked and tasted well.
Friendly, courteous, staff. They remove finished dishes promptly to keep the table clear from clutter. They checked to make sure everything was satisfactory.
If it has been a while since you were last there go again soon.

Clean and bright, food was good and reasonably priced. Great and friendly service.
Disabled access available.
Easy and free parking.
My only complaint would be that the burgers were served on a wooden board, considering hygiene, a plate would be better.

Best pub you will go to for a meal. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and provide a 110% service to its customers. The food is extremely good and the chefs deserve a raise I've never not enjoyed a meal there. Every single meal I've had has been bought out like peice of art on my plate and it tastes amazing.

Best meal I've had in a very long time. Staff were extremely nice and friendly. Decor and dining area well presented in a simple yet modern setting. Great family friendly hotel. Must go to see how good their meals really are. I will be back

Always happy with our lunch here. The only place I'll order vegetables as they're not PACKET veg or soggy... they're always fresh and seasonal. The Garlic Sauce is also amazing.. everywhere else is like milk lol. The York is amazing and great prices.

Absolutely enjoyed our steak main meal! Although disappointed in the Danish dessert - we go out to experience things we may not be able to do at home, this was a very basic over priced dish, I truly believe you could reinvent this dish and make it your own! Service was on point with COVID restrictions, great friendly atmosphere - I Look forward to visiting again soon.
