About Thurgoona Country Club Resort
Casual escape with an outdoor pool, a golf course & a gym, plus unfussy rooms with fairway views. Set on an 18-hole golf course, this casual resort and country club is 11 km from the famous cartoon Ettamogah Pub, and 12 km from the Albury Botanic Gardens. Simple rooms offer Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Upgraded quarters add kitchenettes and sofabeds; some include fairway views and/or whirlpool tubs. A 3-bedroom apartment features a separate lounge area, a kitchen and a private garden. There's an outdoor pool, a hot tub, 16 tennis courts and a fitness centre. There's also a restaurant/bar and a cafe. Breakfast and conference facilities are available.

We were picked up by the courtesy bus, and the driver was very polite, chatty, and careful. The service at the bistro and main bar was excellent, and the girls were efficient and friendly.
Our food was delicious and came out quickly for a busy night.
I'd recommend anyone to come here for a relaxing meal and drink.

We stayed one night in the motel section and were perfectly happy. Good value (ie cheap) but very clean and well-presented. The aircon was nice and powerful, bathrooms were renovated, nice outlook over the gold course.||||We didn't eat in the bistro area but had a coffee and a beerr, and again proces very reasonable. The bar and front of house staff I interacted with were very friendly.

We have stayed here before and were really impressed. The location we really like, the staff at the motel and the golf club were very friendly and the meals were great, unfortunately our room let down our stay as the carpet had lumps under it everywhere plus two seater lounge was worn and stained.

We booked for a 6 night stay through Agoda and it was a nightmare from the very beginning. We were bounced back and forwards like a tennis ball in a 57 shot rally between Thurgoona Resort and Agoda. Neither would admit fault with the booking which was messed up. Thurgoona said we had to contact Agoda and when we did Agoda said they could not change the booking without Thurgoona's permission. Avoid both of these businesses at all costs. Ruined a holiday we had planned for 12 months. Never book with Agoda and we will never stay at Thurgoona ever!

Was on a golf trip with 3 other mates, Great location and good accommodation, as for bistro meals I would not recommend, poor service and average food

Very clean and tidy rooms. Beautiful view of golf course. Beautiful huge meals in the bistro. Everything we needed for our stay. The shower is AMAZING! Perfect pressure and consistent warmth.

This is the second time we have stayed at this very good motel. It is away from main roads, so isn't affected by traffic noise at night, backs onto the golf course, so has pleasant views, and some rooms even have spa baths. Staff are both friendly and efficient.||Rooms are meticulously clean and contain all the basics. With a coat of paint on the brick walls, some accent colour on the plasterwork and a bit of a furniture upgrade, this place would easily become a boutique hotel. The only negative that I can write of is that two bottles of water are placed in the fridge, but there is no warning that these bottles are not complimentary and we only discovered this when we were billed for water after leaving. Having said this, we will definitely return to this nice little place.

The staff seem ok.
The food is good.
Parking is excellent.
Slight confusion on booking a room .
Offered an upstairs room for an elderly,disabled lady but changed when the issue was mentioned.
Useful if you need a motel when travelling interstate.
Unfortunately a foul odour emanated from the bathroom,shower,toilet area and persisted all night .

The room was very good, upstairs, but that was ok. Bed comfortable and clean, nice shower, we had a nice little balcony and were able to have the door open for fresh air overnight. Only negative the tv was difficult to tune.|We also dined in the bistro, great value meals, drinks etc. Bistro staff were a bit unfriendly though. Parking good, reception staff nice too.

The room here was really good for the price, Basic but also very neat and tidy. The bed was pretty comfy and there was a good view from the balcony of a little creek. I found the service in the bistro / bar area to be a bit casual but friendly. The breakfast we had was quite good I'd recommend eating here.

Stayed here on a stopover on the way to Mildura. Late check in at the bar inside the club which was easy, closed at midnight so I knew that there would still be someone there when I arrived. Good size room, lots of bench space in the bathroom, large towels, good size fridge, kitchen utensils with kitchen bench, comfortable warm bed, parking at the front of the room. Overall really happy with the accommodation. Could see the other facilities (pickleball etc) but unfortunately our travel plans didn't allow us to use them. The only negative I had was we were upstairs right near the stairway so had a few noisy people walking up and down the stairs during the night. Not a complaint about the resort, just the inconsiderate guests.

Stayed here and loved it. everything was good. well priced for what you get. comfortable rooms with super nice renovated bathrooms. bedrooms were generous in size with a fridge and basin. the food over at the club was great for the price. breakfast very cheap ,dinner too. even cheaper with a club membership ! nothing special but good food fairly priced makes for a great stopover and i'd highly recommend it !

Staff could not pour a beer and they tried to talk us into becoming members. We waited far too long for our lunch, considering there wasn't too many people there and when the buzzer finally went off the food was stone cold.
Do not recommend.

Rhonda and Debbie the cleaning staff went beyond and above and met my needs.they deserve a pay rise in my eyes thank you so much thorgoona golf resort 4 having me.would most definitely come back

Our 2 nights on a stay and play package was excellent. The room was very comfortable, overlooking the course and was thoughtfully finished with utensils, microwave etc. Staff were all great in restaurant and bar and a terrific golf course.

My partner and I were staying at a caravan park. The manager gave us a voucher which entitled us to 'Members' rates for a meal. We both chose roasts. I had the pork and my partner had the beef. Everything was delicious and plentiful but not very hot (temperature).
We were thankful for an economical meal. Thank you.

Lovely resort with friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are spacious, with basic tea & coffee amenities, however installing microwaves in the rooms would be a really good idea. Room service offerings are excellent, provided you don't require any food outside the resort restaurant's service hours. Top floor rooms have good sized balconies overlooking the golf course, ground floor rooms rear access opens straight out on the course, so it's really lush and green right outside your room.

I played golf here and was pleasantly surprised. Great layout although a little dry at this time. Worth the trip for the golfing enthusiast.

Great Quiet half way spot to break the drive between Sydney and Melbourne. Great roast every night. Great big Breakfast. When it is recommended by Uni students, you know it is great value for money

Great meal with plenty to choose from. Sunday night raffles were good, but the caller really needs to move it along. I think people were bored with the slow manner. Pokies played for our dinner. Barstaff were excellent.

Good service, very kid-friendly with a family atmosphere. Food is familiar classic pub food, with some gourmet stuff like the aisan tasting Platter. Service is good, but slow to grab plates from table, and food service is also quite good. Would recommend to families going out, or making a weekly night out of this place

Excellent affordable accommodation. Staff are super friendly and the meals are very reasonably priced as are drinks.|Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner 7 days a week and you won’t find the quality of meals anywhere to match them.|Stayed at this venue on numerous occasions and never been disappointed yet.|Highly recommended.

Came to the Bistro for dinner. Had looked up the menu on the website before coming and the prices were quite expensive so I had fairly high expectations of good food and was sadly deeply disappointed. This is more of an overly family friendly, cafeteria sort of place. They give you beepers which beep excessively loudly when your food is ready so there is a constant background piercing ring noise the whole time.||My mum has a severe allergy to chilli and capsicum which we told to the waitress and yet her food was served with capsicum and then when we returned it and asked for a replacement with no capsicum or chilli it then came with chilli and we had to return it again. ||I ordered a carbonara pasta and it wasn't any good. There was way, way too much cream and very little bacon.||I wouldn't come back here again if we could avoid it. Expensive, poor service and poor food.

Beds, shower, toilet clean. Walls layered with dust, corners of the rooms filthy, don’t look too closely at anything! Walls are THIN. You will hear every step the neighbouring guests take, along with every time a tap is used.
On site restaurant is nice in theory- way too expensive, no microwaves in the rooms and a barely working fridge, so you’re almost forced to spend the money there anyway.

An excellent motel in beautiful, peaceful surrounds.|Not on the banks of the Murray, but a golf course.|Fresh, clean, excellent beds, good shower, extra chairs to lounge in, good value for the area.|Check in is via the Resort, 100 metres from the motel. dining is via the excellent dining room in the Golf Club.
