We stopped here for lunch. This place is pricy for what you get. The food looks very nice, but it's missing flavour. I ordered a medium steak, and got medium rare. The staff was overall quick and polite. However, there was one guy at a bar who definitely needs to improve his attitude.

We love coming here for the Sunday Roast. But was told they are taking Roast dinner off as they were going for summer menu.. why??? We eat roasts in summer. Some people don't like soup in summer. Just leave the soup off and please continue to do the Roast
The Chef is a woman and it is like eating the best home cooked meal.

They were kind enough to let The art of the minds, hold the Surf Coast song contest and the Big Boys Breakfast it's was Parma night that was delicious

The two stars are because the staff were lovely. We arrived on a thursday eve to make a booking for Saturday as friends were to visit, and the view is nice. "Steak night" was on. Alrighty then. Coupley steaks it is. Well...ive been to some pretty ordinary barbecues in my 43 years but this has to have been the worst piece of porterhouse i ever tried to eat.
Cancelled the booking for the saturday.

The seafood chowder was very nice decent sized. Overpriced for a bowl's club. Don't order eye fillet tough chewy full of tendon not worth $5 nevermind $48

The chicken parma was good. Fish of the day that my wife chose (grilled) was very bland. A little seasoning can go a long way.

The bistro is a lovely spot to have a meal with an amazing view and delicious food. They have great options for those gluten or dairy free!!

Sorry but no atmosphere here, extremely limited menu and that's it on specific nights. Ordered the Salmon expecting what was stated, was served with chips and lettuce.
Positive note: Staff were great, Chef was a gun.

Sorry but food was poor. Would not recommend , seniors meal was tiny and seafood chowder was average at best . The meals here used to be great but now are very ordinary.

Seafood chowder tasted like vinegar. Was told after we complained, they had dumped the chowder as it wasn't right!! No refund offered a replacement meal was, not hungry by that time.
Scallop pasta was average.
Will never return.

Recommended by a local and did not disappoint. Last minute lunch plans and the pork wontons were fantastic and the curry was beautiful. Definitely worth stopping for a meal.

Rang and made a booking for 6 o’clock. Asked if it was steak night, told yes! Got there at 6, no booking! Ordered 4 steaks which ended up 39.00 each. On querying, sorry we are not doing steak night anymore. Changed the orders to senior meals and literally got a piece of steak that you see had been cut in half. Left hungry! Not good enough. Bowls clubs are filled with seniors, they are your bread and butter. Don’t treat them like this. Not good enough! Won’t be back!

Me and my family love this place! Something for everyone. It’s got a beautiful deck overlooking the ocean. The prices are reasonable with a good food selection. I think there’s a new chef or at least a new menu and we were all very impressed with the quality. The staff and managers are very accommodating. It can be a bit tricky to book for food as there’s no online portal but often you can just turn up if it’s not a big group, or just try calling them back/leave a message. We had a sit down meal for 18 people and it was great. It’s very welcoming for all ages and family friendly. Thanks to the staff for all the hard work, it was a busy night! A good vibe all round. And a nice relaxed place to go. With definitely the best views of Torquay!

I had a good meal here. The rolled Pork Belly I devoured was well presented, cooked how I liked it and had crunchy crackling. The accompanying mash, prawns, limited veg and puree hit the spot too. The size of my dish was more than adequate but could have benefitted from having a few more vegetables. I could have bought an extra side of veg, but when you're paying quite high prices for main dishes in the first place it seems like double dipping to charge for a aide of veg. Which brings me to why I only went with three stars for my rating: price. What I ate was great but wasn't worth the $35 I had to pay. For that price, I shouldn't have had to contemplate a side dish to complete it. Yes my food was enjoyable, the venue was lively and enjoyable and the beer hit the spot but overall I didn't feel I got value for my money.

Highly recommend!
Last minute dinner out with 2 little kids was made easy.
Delicious food, great cocktails, kids activities and the ocean views.

Had enjoyable afternoon. Beautiful oceanic view. Had beef Wellington which maybe could have been rarer but that’s personal taste. Apple strudel - beautiful. Two glasses of wine all for deal of $65 for two people which was great. Great deal and nice staff.

Great place for a meal . Great views of the beach ‘ fantastic outside seating on a hot day. Beer was ice cold. Staff were excellent ,good car parking. But the food wasn’t quite as good as expected. Maybe it was me.

Great food great service, not badly price meals. Had the Chicken Parma and others had Chicken Snitz. Come out in a timely fashion and the service was great with a friendly smile. Must go and try to anyone in the area looking for a relaxed atmosphere . Kid-friendly friendly with wheelchair access. Clean and well maintained

Great atmosphere akin to a traditional pub. Good prices on the alcohol. Pool table is an added bonus. ONLY $1 PER GAME.
Owners work the room like celebrities and ensure people are happy. Very charming place.

Awesome staff and venue position. Meals are a rip off mainly due to portion size. If you’re a senior or a local, I’d less so suggest eating here if you’re on a budget.

Atmosphere was brilliant as they had a 70`s music live bands. Staff were the best.
