Wow this place has gone down hill
Seafood platter missing items when came out no oysters or king prawns
Steak meal was missing the Dianne sauce asked for it was told not charged then they charged $5 for sauce not $3
And the salad yeah if you could call it a salad.
Watched other patrons send food back and another leave a whole pizza and only touched one slice.
Also just watch the kitchen staff very interesting food hygiene or lack there off
Very disappointed has definitely gone down hill.
Maybe go to Maccas instead

We went New Years Eve, expecting it there to be an extremely long wait for our meal and long lines at the bar. We were very pleasantly surprised to get our meal within half an hour and although really busy at the bar service was well organised and not to long of a wait.
Well done Torquay pub, we had a fun night listening to good music and enjoyed our NYE 2024.

We had lunch at this hotel located on the Esplanade opposite the beach front park. My first time having a meal at this dog friendly venue. There were actually quite a few diners with dogs and the dogs were well behaved. Our meals came quite quickly and the serving size was big. I had the Chicken breast with avocado and my friend had the prawn cutlets with calamari. Both meals tasted very nice.

Watched the barmaid spill an almost full pint of guineas from under the tap to over a patron's arm resting on his spot of the bar. That was impressive!!
Mess still there when we left an hour later. We felt sorry for her workmates.

This is just your everyday pub. Food coming out looked ok. However, ordered the Thai beef salad. But putting a sliced steak, bean sprouts and half a bottle of sauce on a garden salad isn't Thai. Try something else.

The customer service from the waitress is awful. It seems like customers are an inconvenience to her. I get that people have bad days etc. but this is the 2nd bad experience spanning over several months.

Stumbled across this place by accident whiles staying at Hervey Bay.
BEST ACCIDENT EVER!!!
Staff were super friendly and helpful, venue has a great location, beers were cheap and ice cold and food was AMAZING.
Can't rate this place high enough and DEFINITELY will return if ever in the area.
Can't comment on the accommodation side as we didn't stay the night but if it is anything like the experience we had in the main bar then I'm sure it's a safe bet.

Recently had a 4pm meet-up with visiting old friends (& some new) in the garden bar area - where our 7mnth old puppy (recovering from a serious illness and not able to be left at home alone) was welcome. Everything went without a hitch UNTIL (as the designated driver) I asked for a coffee - we had a long drive home and everyone had just finished eating at this point so it wasn't exactly late dinning wise. Disappointingly my husband was refused this request by one of the the kitchen staff. However, a little later, our friends (from Brisbane and somewhat gob smacked by this refusal) approached a lass called Dee who was busy clearing tables. My coffee request was consequently filled not only with a SMILE (having gone off to make it herself); but accompanied by MOST sincere apologies and ultimately (at her insistance) NO CHARGE! This followed with EVERY member of our group saying they were THOROUGHLY impressed by Dee's 'customer service' (deserving of no less than a bonus for 'reading' her clientele and assuring their future custom 😬); and as a result of her attentiveness our somewhat battle weary and withdrawn little puppy clearly adored her too 😊 You will go far young lady - thank you.

Nice spot to sit and enjoy a bite to eat. Service was a little slow but the Hervey Bay Prawn Cutlets more than made up for it. Will definitely be back.

Nice lunch experience with friends. Fast friendly service and beautiful menu. My pizza was very good but too large and a bit pricy. For lunch a smaller pizza would have been better if they had the choice. Got a container for the remaining half. Roasts were excellent.

My wife needed Sugar as she is a Diabetic and having a low and Renee with 5 star response got her Lollies and Coke for her! Thank you so much. Very understanding and responsible service.

Location is great, food good and consistent, friendly staff. Great place to have a Remington drink with friends.

Just had the Torquay Prawn Burger and it was so good. Husband ordered the special which was Chicken Schnitty with garlic prawns and said it was great. Prawns actually tasted like ocean prawns!!
Great meals. Great prices. Cold beer. 10/10 for this visit 👍🏼

If you are after an inexpensive meal in a quick turnaround this is the place. The menu is still stuck in the eighties, but then you have to cater for differing tourist tastes - (oh dear). If you would like a quick pub meal - fill your boots. Service was excellent but I felt for the cooks, in their out of date, cramped, hot kitchen. Owners- consider refurbishing so your cooks can be valued.

Historic neighbourhood pub in true "good-honest-Aussie-pub" style with the highlight of a large outdoor terrace on the Esplanade.
Although the pub is over 100 years old, the original building doesn't remain, and the current pub is quite basic. Inside is on the small side with not much seating, so other than those who come for the sports/keno/pokies nearly everyone sits outside on the terrace which is large and has tons of tables.
Atmosphere: Local crowd. Always has a cheerful atmosphere.
Drinks: XXXX, Stone & Wood, James Squire, Guinness and a few other beers on tap. Wines are basic/budget.
Food: the usual steaks, parmis, pizzas, pastas, etc. Always competently cooked. Burgers (only at lunch and on a friday night) are my pick of the menu.
Service: friendly and efficient. Bar is quick. With food everything usually goes smoothly, but the kitchen sometimes falls behind when everyone orders at the same time in the early evening rush.
Covid-safety: Seating is mainly outdoors, and bar area is well ventilated.
Dog friendly.

Great pub on the Esplanade in Torquay Hervey Bay. We enjoyed our meal very much, easy ordering, fast service. Raffles were on here Friday night, meat tray w looked huge.

Great pub old fashioned but newish, didn't stay in any rooms, just went in for a drink and the place was great, nice beer garden out the front, then if your to hot you can cross the road and your at the beach, perfect location, service was great, I'll definitely be going back.

Great beer and great setup but was very disappointed that there was no nrl in the sports bar especially given it was NRL magic round!

Fantastic place for a meal....modern decor, excellent location, incredibly clean, great friendly service and the mango pie and whiting fish best I have ever tasted....very much looking forward to another visit and highly recommend 😊

Dogs allowed but must bring your own water bowl. First time I've been told it is unlawful for pub to provide a bowl. Staff offered to put ice in water bowl as it was a hot day - really nice gesture.
Service was a bit slow ordering food and initially at bar.
Ordered wedges at $15 which seemed expensive but it was a large bowl and tasty. Definitely would order them again.

Disappointing when you can see your food is ready but no waitress is there to collect it. Despite sitting on the counter with the flies it was quite good.

Didn't stay but dropped in for a Late Lunch; beer battered flathead was beautiful. Customer service friendly and helpful. And COLD Beer 🍺 😋 👌

Another lovely little place to have a drink atmosphere was terrific service good and staff and people friendly great views food is available tho I didn't eat
