When you book a table for 14 people, allow them to sit alongside each other, without adults, trying to eat on on a corner of a table, circa 1984 when you put the card table out at Christmas, for the kids. Further more, when we spend almost 1k for the night, you have the audacity to ask for a cakeage fee. The $57 rib eye was good, the rest was what you'd get at some other pub, that didn't care. The wait staff were good, but the head staff we're rude. You want people to come back, maybe on for a schnitzel on ya cheap nights, if and when I'm up that way. Happy/But not happy.. Mr Hurley needs to whip this joint into line👍

We ordered lunch meals on Easter Monday - rump steak and vege poke bowl. Both meals were very delicious. Compliments to the chef. Manager Thanh provided excellent service despite skeleton staff. We have been going to the TA for years and they always deliver a consistent quality customer-focussed service.

We often visit on Thursday for steak night. The steak is not great and the last three times has not been cooked as requested. Medium/rare was almost raw and well done was not cooked well enough. The meal is boring. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful but there are some that could do with extra training. On two separate occasions we had the wait staff reach across the table to remove items while we were still eating, not even bothering to ask if we were finished.

We had booked for 3 adults for Christmas lunch but because my wife became bedridden we were unable to make it. I spoke with Lorena, the manager, and was told they could do the whole menu as takeaway. This was on Christmas Day. I have never been happier with any dining place. I got a huge amount of food which is delicious. All of the staff from Lorena and the chef as well as the restaurant staff were all so lovely and sympathetic towards us. This made my rather miserable Christmas so much more enjoyable. Thanks everyone involved. ❤️❤️ PS I had insured the cost of the meals in case my wife got as poorly as she did. I would get my money back and the Hotel would still be paid in full. They could have said it was too difficult on Christmas Day on top of all the work they were doing but no, excellent service. By the way, when I collected the food the buzz in the restaurant area was great. Wish we could have made it. 👍 Merry Christmas to all. Bob and Barb and our friend Jeanette. 😘

VERY overpriced and poor quality!! Possibly the worst pub meals we have ever had. We ordered twice from here.. once the seafood pizza which had no ingredients whatsoever, and the other where we had the beef burger which had a beef patty which was half the size of the bread which was also over cooked. The bread was also stale and no sauce. We enjoyed the quiz though each time, but food I would not recommend. Save your $$!

Should have known things were going to be bad when we walked in at 7.10pm on Valentine's Day for dinner and the place was very quiet. The TA used to be a busy place and the fact that I was able to book a table on Valentine's Day when the other 4 venues I called were already booked out was telling. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and grilled haloumi as an shared entree and a duck dish and Korean grilled chicken for mains . I asked the waitress if she needed a pen and paper to take the order and she assured us that would not be necessary . (Unproven confidence)
The fun starts: the wrong bubbly gets delivered to the table a Prosecco instead of the Crozer sparkling. Hmm not even close.
We are sitting there chatting and notice that other people who were seated after us are getting their food before us. I was just about to query this when our mains arrived. We reminded the waitress that we were still waiting for our entree. We also said that we would not accept the main course meal being placed under a heat lamp as it would dry the duck out. Well the Haloumi came and was nice. One star for that.
We then sat for some time and we're offered a free drink because of the delay. At 8.30 we asked the waitress if we would be waiting much longer be and she said it would not be much longer. Waited a bit longer, saw the superviser and told her we were not very happy to which she said they were plating up as we spoke. 10 mins later with the food still not arriving we decided to just go. Paid for what we had had and left. I cannot in good conscious give any more stars than I gave and if there was an option for 0 stars I think I would have given it.
With the prices of food and alcohol getting higher all venues have to get much better at how they provide HOSPITALITY to the customers. In my opinion the TA needs to get back to basics and stop treating your customers so poorly. If you are reading this and thinking of going to the TA for a meal save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere.

Pretty bad experience. Maybe just bad luck? Our two meals took 45 minutes to arrive even though hotel was empty. Steak badly overdone, replacement was ok but we wondered if they are pre cooking the steaks then warming to order? Chicken in the burger burnt. We are chefs and noticed both steaks had a distinctive ‘fridge’ taste. Management were friendly and offered replacement drinks to compensate though the glass of wine never arrived. For the price it was a disappointment, wouldn’t dine there again.

Ordered Crispy Skin Duck yesterday as a main meal and, although it was very tasty, it was quite COLD ! My husband says I should have asked for it to me microwaved.
Made me wonder if it had been forgotten for delivery to our table as the service wasn’t prompt.
However, my friend’s Soup was both tasty and hot so she was very happy.

My mum & I have been coming for lunch once a week and we absolutely love the food. The best thing about coming to lunch apart from the fantastic food is the wonderful staff. There is one young lady who is always outstanding. Her name is Paris. She is always smiling and happy and makes us feel welcome. She treats us as if we were special. Today I looked around and I noticed she treated everyone else the same way and I could see how happy she made other people. Congratulations TA for employing such a lovely young lady. We always leave happy and full. Thank you.

Met some relatives for dinner and was told when we ordered that there was a 30 minute wait for food. After some time, around 45 minutes, the waiter came and asked how our meals were. We informed him we had not received them yet. He went to the kitchen and came back informing us they would be ready in 15 mins.
Eventually the meals came out and were delicious. We were the last table in the area, and even tables who arrived after us had enjoyed their meals and left even before we received ours.
I was very disappointed in the service and always thought that the wait staff would check that you received your meals in a reasonable time, but to be asked how our meals were when obviously we still had our cutlery unused was a bit of a problem.
We were told the problem arose because there were a lot of large orders on the night (Thursday night). Surely the meals should go out in some sort of order. I hate to think what happens on the weekend.
I have heard of this occuring before and will not be returning to this hotel.

Lovely staff and food. Mango cheesecake was a very small serving considering the price. Overall a lovely place to dine

Lovely hotel, dining area was a lovely space with a nice ambience
Staff very pleasant and helpful and didn't push to get meals ordered and tables cleaned and customers out the door, instead we had a great meal, lovely refreshing gin sorbet desert and we were able to sit back and relax with good friends and enjoy our night without being limited to time topping off the night with a late night cappuccino and staff even provided a plate of biscotti to dip with the coffees. Will definitely go back again

I ordered my usual chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce a d it was excellent. In fact, the mushroom sauce was amazing... the best I have ever had. My mum had the lamb roast special which was also delicious as it was too much for her.
Pleasant service for all the wait staff.
A great lunch. 😊

I'm not one to complain but after a very unsatisfactory meal i felt obliged to leave a review. On a quiet tuesday night my wife and i went to the TA for a quick feed. I chose the buttermilk fried chicken burger at $23.50. The meals came out pretty quickly and unfortunately that is where the positives ended. The burger that i was presented with was saddest burger i have ever seen. As i said, i wouldn't cause a fuss normally but i did take the burger back after seeing a lack of contents of the burger to a staff member and asked is this what is normally served. The staff member said she would take it to the chef and ask. A few moments later the burger returned in the same sad state and i was informed this is how it is presented. To set the scene the burger came with a minuscule amount of chicken, minimal sauce, 2 pieces of lettuce, 2 flavourless pickles, dry burger bun and chips. No decent chef would be proud to serve up that joke.

I had never been here before but with some hungry teens we needed food stat! The prices are definitely higher than your regular pub and I was concerned HOWEVER it was worth every cent!! The quality and quantity of all four of our meals was great. Well worth it and we have already recommended TA to others.

High quality environment with competitive prices. My favourite part of the TA is the staff who are the perfect amount of attentiveness. There was a mistake with our order but the staff handled it with complete competence, a trait lacking in many similar establishments.
I really like this place and highly recommend it. The staff are friendly and service is fast. A good range of things on the menu to suit any budget but high quality food. Also a good drink selection. It also has a really nice vibe, very chill and stress free.

Had lunch there, ordered Atlantic Salmon and Moreton Bay Bug Fettucine both were absolutely superb, very tasty and we'll presented dishes. Highly recommended. Then for dessert had the Loaded Donuts well what a way to finish chocolate galore and oy so tasty very enjoyable.

Had 4 main meals and 2 Entree’s
Garlic bread $11
Arancini $17.50
Garlic bread was extremely dry. So wasn’t happy with that.
Arancini was absolutely delightful. So flavourful.
Beef Schnitzel $26.50
TA Beef Burger $23.50
2x Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger $22.50
Beef Schnitzel was very good
The TA Beef Burger was absolutely amazing will definitely have again.
Unfortunately the buttermilk fired chicken burgers were so dry and chewy so very disappointed in that. They put the tiniest dash of sauce on the bun.
Overall pleasant experience and the wait staff were so so polite. Very happy.

Great atmosphere at this lovely family oriented pub! We were a large group booking and all enjoyed our meals served by extra friendly and helpful staff. This made for a lovely dining experience!

Good indoor dining areas, both formal and informal and a lovely warm lounge space eith fire. Outdoor areas great also, both casual and more upmarket. Food always delicious and reasonably price. Staff always friendly.

First impressions last. An yes this place succeeded in leaving a good impression. Food was amazing, quick service very clean and tidy place good menus and range to choose from. Definitely recommend this place

Delicious fresh and tasty poke bowl with tofu for lunch before going to the Mitcham cinema. Nice aperol spritz to start. Service pleasant. Restaurant atmosphere unobtrusive. All-in-all a good experience and I will be returning.

Decent place for a long catch-up over lunch. Public holiday (15% surcharge) was open and staffed well. Can’t complain about service or food just maybe the price for a pub lunch was a bit high but still worth it. There are lots of different options on the menu to please. Indoor and outdoor seating aplenty. The noise doesn’t carry. Which is nice
