Went there for lunch Monday 6 May. Haven’t been there for decades, and it’s certainly changed for the better. Bar and catering staff very friendly and attentive. Lunch delicious and reasonably priced (try the burrito – delicious). Will definitely return.

Went there for family dinner and the food was really disappointing.
Burger over cooked, calamari was grey and looked like elephant sphincters, meat lovers pizza so oily and drowning in cheese, roasted vegetable pizza was not roasted veges but a few chopped veges, the odd chunk of garlic and way too much cheese. Pizza bases seemed like store bought not fresh made.
As others have said, the few cold chips were the star.
Service was friendly enough and offered replacements because no one wanted to eat their meals but if 100% of the dishes are inedible first time around, that’s not good odds for a second go. Refund should have been offered.
Suggest you avoid and either go to the Royal or the Top Pub.

We had my daughters 18th family dinner here and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was great. We all had a great time in the curtain room. Will be back

We come here for Stewart barton live. 3rd time I've ordered a meal, 3 strikes YOUR'E OUT!!
It's a sad meal when the "cold" chips are the winner in the plate.
Very disappointed. Next time will eat before coming to pub ðŸ˜

This place used to be good, but tonight changed that- They must have a new chef.
The orders came out in dribs and drabs, leaving part of the group waiting 35 minutes for their meals (kids meals) while the rest waited for over an hour, so nobody could actually eat together.. Only to receive burnt and cold food. They even left the steak on the hot stone for over 5 minutes before being called to get it (They've changed to buzzer system). We also ordered cheesy garlic bread (also burnt) which arrived with STEEL wool baked into it and sticking out the top. When asked, they did provide a refund, but I feel as though over an hour wait for below standard food should be noted.. not to mention the steel wool. After plenty of great experiences here, this was a huge let down.

The third & last time I will be here for a meal. It was inedible. Pasta was full of chilli, the garlic bread was overcooked & cold. Waited over an hour for a disgusting meal.

The first time I tried the stone grill rump it was like heaven on earth. A beautiful chunk of steak served with chips and veggies that I could cook to my liking. A unique and interesting experience that had me coming back for more. If you're looking to spice up your dinners then this is definitely something you should do. However, in my more recent visits, it seems that the quality of the meat has gone down a bit. Otherwise 5 stars.

Restaurant Review- Comfy place for a beer but the Food & Service was a let down. So; let’s break it down…
Atmosphere: *****
Really well presented, immaculately clean & and nice use of space. The décor really allows for a comfortable three colour tone experience and enough areas, tables and tvs to enjoy almost any sport you love with a schooner.
Customer Service: ***
Was a little underwhelming, not bad but not great either. It was lunch time with a few customers. We were greeted well and shown to our seat, ordering was at the serving counter in front of the kitchen. Customer service rep was nice and took the orders.
Orders took about 20-25 minutes to arrive which was a long time to wait.
We were asked after the meal which was nice, the rep bussed the table taking 3 of the 4 plates indicating they would come back for the other but didn’t come back.
Food (Why we are here): **
Order: Steak Burger with chips, Chicken Schnitzel with Chips & Salad, 250g Rump Steak with chips.
Almost everything was over Overcooked!
Chips: probably the best thing here, they were delicious and cooked perfectly
Steak Burger: The steak was okay but the bacon was overcooked and the bread was average.
Chicken Schnitzel: Overcooked and dry, it would have been very tough to eat if it wasn’t for the gravy. The Gravy was tasty.
250g Rump Steak: Was cooked very well and very tasty, worked really well with the gravy.
Overall: ***
It could have been an off day, but there there wasn’t many people there, so was disappointed considering the overcooked food compared to the good reviews.

Order took over an hour to complete on a Wednesday night, came out missing 2 of the 3 sides and no cutlery provided.
2 stars due to staff apologies for the kitchen and doing their best.

Ordered one of their specials on the menu the Bulgogi with stir fried veges and sticky rice. The pic doesn't do it justice and I also ate before I remembered to take a pic. Was absolutely delicious, service was fantastic and great atmosphere to enjoy a beautiful dinner!

Ordered dinner over the phone and picked it up, got the lamb ragu, chicken burger, and beef burger, all hot and very very good. Definitely recommend

I have been going to the Tourist for a few years now for dinner,
The food was generally pretty good, but the last 3 or 4 times I have been there the food has not been good. My main complaint is that everything is now over cooked. I will not be going back unless things get back to the way they used to be.

If you book a table early in the week for saturday night and go through the layout with one of the bar staff dont count on getting that table that she reserved for you because we were placed over at the tab corner, very disapointed.

Food was great and drinks very well priced. My medium rare scotch fillet steak was closer to medium but the quality of the piece of meat more than made up that and the Diane sauce was divine!

Food was good but the parma special was served with chips OR salad. A special for $20 doesn't deserve to descriminate between sides - Give us a salad AND chips for that price!
Beer was excellent as always and the staff at the bar are great.

Food and service was excellent, went with bunch of colleagues we had multiple food items and the food was great and we all loved it.
Best steak in Queanbeayn. Great Job and keep up the good work

EDIT June 24:
The menu posted by the TH one week ago is out of date. The pricing is incorrect and the special nights have changed. This also is not reflected on their website. We came thinking it was Stone Grill Night and even checked google Maps and the website prior but had to change orders suddenly when we got to the till and were advised stone grills no longer had a special.
The service has gone down slightly, orders are now taken at the bar and food needs to be collected using a buzzer system. Wait for a schnitzel was over 45 mins.
Food is still good, but not worth the long wait.

Great food, and very well priced on specials nights, otherwise pretty standard pricing for a pub/bistro these days. Expect to spend $20-40pp on food.
Atmosphere is good, plenty of seating in both bistro and bar. Bar has screens for what felt like every sport in the world, so you won't be short on sports entertainment.

Another great experience at The Tourist. The rooms are some of the best appointed in Narrabri with a great minibar! The service is good and any minor requests are promptly and cheerfully managed.

A must go to in Canberra they are the most welcoming people you will meet ESPECIALLY Jane she's awesome THANKYOU to ALL the staff made our stay in Canberra great. Definitely will be coming back.

Amazing service, and very cozy environment. My friend was so reluctant to go out as she has so many dietary restrictions. But later she loved it as the staff was more than happy to do something out of the menu for her on a busy Saturday night...😊😊

Always friendly staff. Great food. Only once have we been disappointed. Ordered the Black Angus rump and were served sirloin. However it was cooked perfectly.

A lovely warm welcome from the bar staff, followed with a very good, well priced counter lunch. All wrapped up in a beautifully renovated old pub. Thanks for a great experience!
